Su Ming took the armguard; this gemstone certainly looked large and valuable, but the entire style of the armguard was too effeminate. Whose aesthetic would be like this besides the Observers?
Wearing a gold ornament that extends from the wrist to the elbow? Such pretentiousness, even Kang, who has such poor taste, embedded it inside his battle armor and covered it with layers of other metals.
"Uh, this thing looks a bit damaged." Su Ming said, turning it over in his hands.
Cable shook his head and took a few steps back, sitting on a nearby table: "I'm not sure, do you know the Observers?"
"Yeah, those big-headed dolls who like wearing blue robes." Su Ming sat next to him.
"That's about right. This object is currently in a semi-damaged state. Maybe Kang modified it again, or maybe Apocalypse crushed it... This thing can only send you off Earth now, but it can't change time."
The two began to puff away on their smokes, taking a short break. With Apocalypse here, no one could storm into the Prime Minister's Office.
"Send me off Earth...where to? The moon?" Su Ming laughed. Cable sure had a dark sense of humor.
"I don't know, maybe to the edge of this universe, heading to other parallel worlds, after all, Kang is the master of many parallel worlds."
Cable said helplessly, unable to crack the technology of the Observers. Sometimes he thought he should let a Mage take a look.
After listening to him, Su Ming seemed pensive.
On the way from the DC Universe, he saw the whole expanse of the cosmos.
If arranged from small to large, it would be Monistic Universe, Multiverse, Super Universe, All-Powerful Universe, roughly in that order; one big bubble containing more smaller bubbles of the next level.
A Monistic Universe refers to an individually numbered Earth when taken out by itself.
The Multiverse includes all Marvel worlds with a superhero theme, like MCU's earth199999, comic Main World's earth616, Ultimate World earth1610, and so on.
The Super Universe is even larger, including other worlds under Marvel like "Men in Black" besides Marvel's superhero worlds.
And the All-Powerful Universe encompasses all the above worlds, adding on DC and many other company-created universe systems.
It's even said the reality world Su Ming used to live in is also included in the All-Powerful Universe.
It's unknown if that's true, can't prove it.
Su Ming's journey from DC to Marvel was a trip through the All-Powerful Universe. And previously when Kang threw him into a different time-space fragment, when he emerged, he was in the Multiverse.
If this armguard could send Su Ming to the edge of the Multiverse now, then as long as he had independent action capability and ample energy, he should be able to sneak back to DC.
Although the Green Lantern Heroes are always trying to repair the Wall of Origin, can it really be fixed with a Green Lantern Ring? They're just wasting their time.
As long as Su Ming gets his direction right and crosses a source domain where nothing can be seen, he will undoubtedly find a way back to the DC Universe.
Last time he had to leave so suddenly, didn't even get to say a word, seems quite impolite, plus Batman still owes him money.
The gem given by Dr. Manhattan was a reward from the world. The money Batman owes is from the Justice League, can't be lumped together.
The rest is easy, just enter any parallel world, find a Speedster, connect to the Divine Speed Plane and inform Barry in the Main World.
Let the ride pick him up.
Now the problem is, Dr. Manhattan, that bald head isn't easy to deal with. Sneaking back would probably result in getting his butt kicked. Some preparation is necessary.
However, when Su Ming left, he saw the Omega Four Gods heading towards the DC Main Universe. Manhattan probably doesn't have time to bother with him now...
"Deathstroke, what are you thinking about?" Cable noticed Su Ming had been silent for a long time, seemingly calculating something.
"Uh, nothing, just considering the issue with Apocalypse." Su Ming muttered, the ember of his cigarette flickering.
"Yeah, letting him deal with Kang was indeed good before, but now Apocalypse wants to unify the Earth. It's even more troublesome." Cable also lowered his voice.
Su Ming rubbed his beard; last time's beard wax worked well, should ask for some more from Monac next time: "Troublesome might not be the word, but solving it will depend on you."
"Depend on me?"
Cable almost choked. How could it depend on him? His ability level is at most Alpha-level Mutant, more often used to suppress the virus in his half-mechanical body. His power level is far from matching Apocalypse.
Su Ming couldn't just say it relies on 'bringing in the guardian,' so he could only pat Cable's shoulder: "Tomorrow, let everyone else return to the future, leaving just you, me, Wade, and Little Rascal."
"And then?"
"Then we'll take Apocalypse to a remote place, and you'll know by then."
In the dim basement, only the lamp above the workbench was lit, with blue glove remnants scattered everywhere, a strange odor lingering under the low ceiling.
Su Ming gave Cable a mysterious glance, but Cable simply didn't get it.
"How can we get Apocalypse to such a place?"
"Naturally, by flattering him, telling him he's become invincible after eliminating the greatest enemy."
Sitting in the dark, Su Ming answered in a ghostly tone; he already had a sequence of actions and responses.
Based on previous interactions, Apocalypse's characteristics matched expectations.
He knew about Apocalypse's past and his personality; in this world where the story deviated entirely, such things were his strongest reliance.
Thus, after defeating the perceived threat of Conqueror Kang, Apocalypse might feel that sense of 'invincible loneliness.'
Next, Su Ming intended to persuade him to go to the Egyptian desert, find a place to build his capital, and that idle Apocalypse would surely be very interested.
Apocalypse's two major hobbies are hairstyling people and building structures.
"Is the plan to have Little Rascal absorb his abilities?" Cable rubbed his chin, and his electronic eyes flickered as if pondering something.
Su Ming shook his head with a smile, blowing out a puff of smoke: "No, Little Rascal's abilities will be used on you."
"You must be joking with me..." Cable looked at him with a hopeless expression, wondering what dealing with Apocalypse had to do with Little Rascal stealing his abilities.
"I know your telekinesis has always been fighting the mechanical virus inside, and you don't often use the laser ability. But remember? Mr. Sinister regarded you as the ultimate weapon against Apocalypse."
Su Ming flicked the ash off his cigarette onto a blue glove corpse on the floor, the ash landing right in its mouth, and Su Ming smiled sadly.
"Sigh, I know about my parents...and those things between my stepmother, but what's that got to do with Apocalypse?"
"Well, because even Mr. Sinister could see that besides those people in your family, someone else also sees you as their child."
"You mean..."
