Chapter 368 - Chapter 336: Ambushed

Inside the building, although the style is Amazonian, it is much more magnificent. Almost all the decorations are made of golden metal, rather than the white stone preferred by the Amazonians.

Under the tall dome, the group silently moved forward, with only the sound of footsteps echoing in the empty hall.

"It looks like a long time ago, Atlantis and Amazon had a good relationship." Su Ming surveyed the surroundings, secretly heightening his alertness.

There are signs of activity here, and it is very likely to encounter enemies, such as those ape people the Justice League encountered before.

"In history, our two races faced many cosmic crises together; at that time, there were no superheroes. Protecting Earth was the responsibility of the gods." Diana explained to Su Ming, she had seen historical documents from Paradise Island when she was a child: "But now the relationship is closer than it used to be, after all, everyone has the internet."

"Paradise Island has the internet? How come I didn't notice that last time I went?" Su Ming coughed embarrassedly.

"Oh, because back then you didn't have a mobile phone. If you tried, you would know that we've achieved wifi coverage on Paradise Island." Diana shrugged naturally. Under her leadership, the Amazonians retained their warlike and brave customs, but she also introduced many interesting things from human society to Paradise Island.

"Is Atlantis the same?" Su Ming asked Arthur again.

"Underwater communication is a bit more difficult. We first connect the Justice League's satellite using the royal palace's quantum network and then relay to the internet. But if you mean wifi, yes, Atlantis has full city coverage too."

Honestly, hearing the term quantum network coming out of Sea King's rugged mouth made Su Ming feel a bit awkward.

"Alright, you guys are ahead of Batman quite a bit, Gotham doesn't have full city wifi coverage." Barry interjected, as he was curiously looking around: "Hey, there are some big jars in front..."

Barry's figure flickered, appearing at the front of the team.

In the next hall, there were many huge glass jars, like pillars standing tall, with a thick layer of dust on top, obscuring what was inside.

Barry leaned close to the jar, wiped the surface with his hand, revealing what was stored inside.

They were some white-skinned monsters, although they looked humanoid, the most striking feature was their giant mouths full of sharp fangs.

"This looks like White Martians." Diana frowned, wondering why these brutal creatures would be sealed underground on Earth?

Martians are divided into two kinds, the green ones, like Ron, are mostly gentle and kind-hearted people, unfortunately, they have nearly all perished.

The other kind is white, almost all are evil and cruel, except for the Mars Girl as a special case.

"And they seem... more primitive, more ferocious." Arthur also leaned closer, looking at the Martians in the jars.

Barry dismissively knocked on the jar, thinking these were specimens? They had closed eyes, seemed dead for a few hundred years.

"Hey, buddy, you look really ugly, and you're still in the jar...?"

Inside the jar, the Martian suddenly opened its eyes, crashing through the glass jar, lunging at Barry.

Su Ming had been on guard early, these things wouldn't be kept here without reason, this wasn't an experiment facility, so the most reasonable explanation was that they were the 'security' here.

Barry dodged the attack, Divine Speed once again saved his life. If bitten by such a big mouth, his head would likely disappear into the opponent's stomach.

The abilities of White Martians are similar to Green Martians, although their status as defeated is lower than Green Martians, their individual destructive power far exceeds that of Green Martians.

However, for Su Ming, they're just somewhat troublesome.

Now the opponent just came out from the nutrient liquid jar, obviously not in the best condition. If he couldn't handle four Martians, where would his pride be?

Su Ming immediately swung the Nightfall Greatsword toward one, while the others each faced another. Only Barry was having a rough time; his Divine Speed was acting up, and after a successful dodge, he found himself unable to connect, while his punches and kicks merely knocked the opponent away.

Upon direct combat, Su Ming realized his judgment was off; these things, although looking similar, were not White Martians. Their power levels and self-healing abilities were far inferior.

It's like a new breed created by crossing Martians and Earthlings.

Diana used the Lasso of Truth to bind one: "Tell me! What are you? Earthlings? Amazonians? Atlanteans? Martians?"

However, the monster with the mouth full of sharp fangs only kept roaring, saying words similar to 'you' in strange voices.

"This doesn't work, Female Hero." Arthur used the Trident to directly smash a monster's head, watching it fall to the ground, slowly self-healing: "A better way is to slice them."

"Or shred them."

Su Ming added with a smile, the monster before him was indeed shredded, he originally thought he was going up against four Mars Hunter level enemies, yet turned out to be just four ordinary Self-healing Ability Users.

They didn't know any martial arts, and their strength wasn't that impressive; what use are such failures?

He quickly dealt with one, letting it slowly squirm on the ground. It would take hours before any self-healing might complete.

The next step was to assist Barry, whose Divine Speed was now on and off; relying solely on Kung Fu to deal with these monsters felt somewhat lacking.

Su Ming swiftly accelerated, charging past Barry, swiftly slicing the monster entangled with Barry in two, following with another flick to cut it into four slices, quickly sheathing the Nightfall Greatsword, switching to Godslayer in Dual Blade Form.

Then he used the floor like a chopping board, starting to mince.

Barry stood aside, his expression stuck between wanting to say something and staying silent; he didn't know what he ought to say.

If these things weren't Martians, he had no reason to stop Deathstroke. But clearly, just preventing them from self-healing would suffice; wasn't mincing a bit excessive in terms of killing?

In fact, Su Ming was merely gathering intelligence.

The damage extent and self-healing speed of these monsters weren't linear but followed a certain inverse function curve. The more damage inflicted, the slower the self-healing.

Learning more about the enemy's self-healing speed now is always advantageous for the future; with four here, who knows when more might appear.

And timing calculation is crucial in any tactic, as conditions of time, place, and people are factors every strategist must consider.

Mastering these three elements, what remains is exploiting one's strengths to attack the enemy's weaknesses.

Sea King's Trident was extremely sharp, coupled with his great strength, after penetrating the enemy's head with the weapon, he simply slapped the monster's head into a smashed watermelon, then used the weapon to slice off the monster's limbs.

Then he looked not far away; Deathstroke was mincing, Barry was dazed.

He shrugged and went to assist Wonder Woman. Diana was still trying to extract information from these monsters, but the language of these creatures was incomprehensible, should they record it and have someone decipher it back home?

Diana's main concern was her numerous doubts. She eagerly needed answers as everything here seemed very bizarre.

After failing to extract information, Diana used her fists to pound the monster into a small pancake.

"Gained nothing, more doubts than ever."

Diana stood up straight, adjusted her cloak.

"Why don't you try asking me instead?"

The door leading deeper into the building suddenly opened from the hall, and a massive figure emerged.
