Chapter 1162 - Chapter 1096: Backup Plan

Su Ming had previously made many arrangements, but his target was always the Regent's Fire.

This Eternal Flame Crown, symbolizing the identity of the Dark Dimension's ruler, grants its wearer with inheritance rights, allowing them to claim a larger share of the Dark Dimension's power.

Currently, the energy in the Dark Dimension is divided with Dormammu holding six shares and Omar holding four. However, if she puts on the crown, the balance will instantly tip over.

This is the pit Dormammu dug for himself; he discovered the Dark Dimension and merged himself into it. He is the dimension, and the dimension is him—a bodily convergence with Dao, an ideal situation.

But he was too fond of his sister back then, so he let Omar merge with it too, enjoying the formidable power together and even granted her inheritance rights, making the Dark Dimension co-owned by the two of them.

Dormammu has no time-related abilities, so he couldn't foresee the future, and as time passed, the former little sister gradually experienced large differences with him.

It's not that he can't kill her, but since they are both part of the Dark Dimension, doing so would directly weaken the dimension by half, providing an opportunity for external foes, so he had no choice but to imprison her.

Similarly, Omar can't kill Dormammu either because the neighboring entities are always lurking, eager to pounce.

Slorius is an exception though; suffering from the common old dominators' disease of blind foolishness, it just drools at the brother and sister like a beast, if a Cosmic Divine Level beast actually existed.

Now Omar wants to play head of the household; the Regent's Fire is akin to the property deed to their living space, and whoever holds it gains the upper hand.

Previously, the two shared nostalgic co-conversations, sounding quite sentimental, as if they were thinking about each other.

In truth, don't forget that these two are Dimensional Demon Gods, symbolizing darkness; without a public notary or magic contract, whoever trusts their words is doomed to misfortune.

In a flash, just as everyone was intensely attacking Dormammu and Deathstroke's Nightfall Greatsword was about to sever the 'Regent's Fire' from Dormammu's head.

Dormammu suddenly grew several centimeters taller.

The slash that should have given Dormammu a crew cut was stuck rather stubbornly on that pitch-black forehead.

Dormammu adjusted the density of his body, the dark matter becoming extraordinarily sturdy, and even with Su Ming's strength combined with the sharpness of the giant sword, it only sliced halfway through.

"So that's how it is."

Dormammu sneered, suddenly clenching his fist, causing his body along with the surrounding space to violently quake, sending the three attackers flying back at light speed, crashing through countless walls of the Mirror Space.

Even with layers of Mirror Space in place externally, Dormammu was still Dormammu, his power unrestrained, previously just feigning weakness for the enemy.

He's someone who survived from Ancient Earth, where Ancient Gods roamed and Demon Kings were as common as dogs; being brainless was impossible.

Despite his tendency to be blindfolded by pride, when facing his sister, knowing her strength inside out, he certainly wouldn't be boastful.

On the contrary, he was rarely serious this time. Now that he understood the trio's plan, he's no longer hiding his strength; he laid bare his cards, exhibiting formidable might, displaying the top-tier combat power and aura of a Monistic Universe now fully unleashed.

Just by releasing bodily energy, igniting spatial vibrations, the surrounding trio was struck by a massive force. If not for being in Mirror Space, they would've been blasted into other Demon Gods' abodes.

After the strike, he cast a spell to disperse all Mirror Spaces, hovering in the air with arms folded, gazing at the trio in the distance as if they were mere insects.

Somewhat surprisingly, Omar and Faltin withstood his strike quite normally, but Deathstroke, seemingly unfazed at the far edge of the pit, merely lifted his mask, spat, and crawled back up.

Is this really a human? It's known that a casual strike from him could shatter space and annihilate planets; how could human flesh withstand it?

Several kilometers away, Su Ming, who scrambled to his feet, wasn't as relaxed as he appeared; that hit nearly scattered him on a cellular level, with Strangulation recomposing each cell, attaching them to the X Metal Skeleton.

Even though the armor converted into Vibranium, it couldn't fully absorb the impact from the heavy blow, as Dormammu's actions were too swift, his spatial abilities proving elusive.

Fortunately, it wasn't the worst-case scenario; at least the X Metal wasn't shattered by Dormammu, and the predetermined Time Gem wasn't necessary.

Injuries? For a self-healing ability user, they were manageable. Even reduced to pulp, as long as the head wasn't damaged, as long as the pain and bloodthirsty desire could be endured, Deathstroke would always come back.

He flew out of the pit, rejoining Omar and the others, and after moving his back muscles a bit: "Your brother's quite strong, possibly the most powerful being I've encountered so far."

Omar's expression turned slightly unsightly, her black light dimmed a bit; she had grabbed Dormammu's hands but was still bounced away through spatial resonance. The injury wasn't concerning, but Dormammu probably saw through Deathstroke's plan.

It was at the moment Su Ming raised his sword that she realized the target was the Regent's Fire, but now, the situation has become quite tricky.

"You're also the strangest human I've ever seen; surviving a spacequake capable of destroying planets." She contemplated a strategy, casually brushing off her attire, her words unforgiving.

Su Ming weighed the great sword in his hand twice, his voice carrying a feigned smile from under the mask: "Do you really underestimate humans? If there's a chance in the future, I'll introduce you to some individuals who simply won't die."

Speaking of the super healing ability users in the Marvel Universe, most of them are concentrated on Earth, like the little cousin, Mr. Immortal, Dracula, Mr. M, and others. The human body may seem primitive in the eyes of many cosmic races, but the simple carbon-based structure allows the flesh and blood to possess infinite possibilities.

Unfortunately, the little cousin has always had no interest in married women, otherwise Omar's idol drama sequel would have arranged a love triangle.

"Why do I feel like you're thinking about something bad?" Omar detected a hint of strangeness in Deathstroke's tone. However, his face was hidden by a mask, with only that dash of red light in the darkness, so she shifted the topic: "What should we do next?"

The Mirror Space had been completely shattered, and Dormammu had restored his massive form, with dense black clouds enveloping everything, those giant star-like eyes mercilessly staring at the three of them.

Fortunately, he's someone who likes to chat, and before he takes action, he always has to say a few words. Now, it seems like he has the upper hand, naturally thinking about how to show off.

But that superiority is only apparent. Su Ming had already prepared a backup plan, as well as a backup to the backup plan, completely treating Dormammu with Batman-level intelligence.

It's certainly good to unexpectedly seize the Regent's Fire, but even if the attempt fails, it doesn't matter. What situation may emerge in battle is unpredictable, and all of this was anticipated.

"How long can you hold him off?" Su Ming looked up at Dormammu and asked her.

As the two spoke, Dormammu's immense power continued to corrode the entire Plane of the Cage. The space was already full of holes and was being shattered to pieces, like a mirror breaking on the ice at night, those angular, semi-transparent shards slowly dissolving into the darkness.

"I don't know, I haven't crossed swords with him for thousands of years."

Although she said that, Omar, with a black flame pumpkin head, was madly channeling dark energy into herself, manifested into a Black Flame Giant identical to Dormammu.

Two half-figures instantly standing over ten thousand meters tall, silhouettes enveloped in darkness, emerged. The original Plane of the Cage suddenly couldn't withstand such an impact, now completely breaking like an ice sculpture. Su Ming and Faltin were cast into the Dark Dimension.

Faltin barely managed to form a small domain with her flames, like a ping-pong ball in the midnight sea, barely protecting herself and Deathstroke.

Unfortunately, judging by the brightness of her head, she likely couldn't hold out for long. Long-term 'malnutrition' made her unable to directly confront Dormammu.

Now, the one in relatively better condition was Omar. Breaking free from the cage granted her liberation and energy replenishment. But this freedom was short-lived. If Dormammu couldn't be defeated, her ensuing fate would only worsen.

Su Ming glanced at the direction previously leading from the Dark Dimension to Earth; that 'little water pipe'-like path had been engulfed by the exploding space fragments, completely lost.

Even though quite a bit of dark energy has seeped past these days, with Omar indulging in beauty slowing the energy's flow, Zheng Xian is guarding the entrance on the other side, the situation should be manageable.

From a certain angle, Deathstroke's initial purpose in coming here had been achieved, Earth was temporarily safe, and next it was time to pursue personal gain.

"Make sure to protect yourself."

Su Ming told Faltin, turning his entire armor black, with a pair of white eyes on his face, looking just like the suspect 'Little Black' from Detective Conan.

"You can't go out, it's dangerous." Faltin held him back, with a human physical body, entering Dormammu's Dark Dimension was unimaginable.

A smile appeared on Deathstroke's gloomy face, his teeth seeming to glint a bit: "I can't die, our contract hasn't been fulfilled yet. I have a plan."

With that, he charged out of the small flame domain, rushing toward Dormammu, who was now brawling with Omar.

Every punch collision or energy release between them prompted earthquake-like tremors throughout the Dark Dimension. Space fragments flew everywhere, and massive energy spread as spheres of light and heat, expanding ring by ring in the seemingly infinite dimension space.

This battlefield was not meant for humans to intervene, and thanks to the cloak and Strangulation's help, Su Ming could continue advancing, each second akin to enduring the impact of a nuclear bomb.

The Magic Floating Cloak, truly a mage's treasure, perhaps eager to prove its value, flew swiftly unaffected by anything, occasionally blocking fatal dangers for the Supreme Mage.

It was incredibly proud at this moment, swelling like a black bedsheet flying across dimension space.

Now the Supreme Mage surely sees its significance, right? From now on, its good days are surely ahead? When cleaning, Deathstroke must wash it by hand, no more laundry machines.

Yet things didn't go as it imagined. Deathstroke was now communicating with Strangulation, naturally focusing more on the energy-restrained Strangulation, knowing the cloak would be fine.

"Strangulation, any problems?" Su Ming touched his chest where the Time Gem resided.

Strangulation emerged from the host's shoulder, its head leaning against the host's face, indicating it could still hold on. Space System's abilities are strong, most of its effort must focus on repairing the host's body; it's quite hungry now.

Su Ming touched the black bean sprouts on his shoulder: "No worries, once this mission ends, I'll find some bad guys for you to eat, plenty of brains."

The sprouts began nodding eagerly, looking forward eagerly.

The Magic Floating Cloak noticed their interaction, trembling slightly, feeling quite resentful...
