Next up, I'll be your opponent.
As soon as these words were spoken, the whole room fell silent, so quiet you could hear a pin drop. Corey and the others even wondered if something was wrong with their ears.
"He... he must be mistaken, right? This is a terrifying opponent who can instantly take down all six of Elite Lorelei's main Pokemon. He intends to fight her with just his body? Is he kidding?" Misty swallowed hard, her words filled with disbelief.
No sensible person would ever say something so foolish!
"He does indeed have some special abilities, but... no matter how strong a human is, it's impossible to battle a Pokemon. A human is still a human, how can they fight a Pokemon? Especially such a powerful one!" Corey also couldn't understand Ash's actions.
Just like he couldn't understand how Mewtwo, being a Pokemon, could suddenly become a Trainer. A Pokemon becoming a Trainer was already inconceivable, and now something even more unbelievable was happening: a human was going to battle a Pokemon as if they were one!
And that Pokemon was the one who just now instantly defeated the Champion-level main force. Is this even right?
A Pokemon commanding a Pokemon just involves using your brain. Intelligence, when trained, can sometimes yield results, but strength is different...
No matter how much a human trains, no matter how much they push their body to its limit, they can't compare to a Pokemon.
For a human to take the field as a Pokemon is way more absurd than a Pokemon taking the field as a Trainer!
Misty, Brock, and Gary said nothing, but their faces were full of worry. Unlike others, they knew better how strong Ash was, standing at the pinnacle of humans with his special abilities.
But Mewtwo's power was at the pinnacle of Pokemon! Compared to the pinnacle of humans, the difference was vast, making any comparison unnecessary.
So Ash's pinnacle and Mewtwo's pinnacle couldn't be compared at all. Misty and the others didn't want to not believe in Ash, but with such a disparity in power, how could they fully trust him?
Being able to defeat even Lorelei's main Pokemon like that, Mewtwo had undoubtedly stepped into that realm. No matter how strong Ash was, could he really match the Divine Domain Level?
That's clearly unrealistic.
But Ash isn't someone who acts recklessly without intelligence. Many times before, Ash had used strategies and battle arrangements that seemed irrational to them, yet they worked unexpectedly well in the end. So perhaps this time, Ash might also have some strategy to cope with it?
When Lorelei saw Ash stepping up, her expression slightly changed, and she subconsciously took a step forward, but then backed away.
Even though she hadn't spent much time with Ash, it was clear Ash isn't someone who would knowingly throw his life away. Behind him were so many he needed to protect. If he rushed in without any strategy, it would be irresponsible to his partners and teammates.
So in the end, Lorelei didn't move, but instead quietly watched Ash's back, praying in her heart, "Be careful, Ash."
"What nonsense," Mewtwo looked at the boy standing in front of him, an uncharacteristic look of disdain appearing on his usually calm face. Clearly, Ash's actions made him feel sheer contempt.
To stand in front of her despite witnessing her power—this was beyond commendable bravery; it was sheer foolishness and idiocy.
The fact that Ash hadn't abandoned his Pokemon stirred some small ripples in Mewtwo's heart, but Ash's behavior of standing before her just seemed utterly foolish.
"Whether it's nonsense or not, why don't you try and see for yourself." As Ash spoke, he suddenly stamped his foot, his figure leaving an afterimage in the air, instantly appearing in front of Mewtwo.
This extraordinary speed made Mewtwo's pupils contract sharply. He instinctively activated a barrier, the light-blue psychic shield firmly guarding her.
This was the very barrier that had just reflected the attacks of Lorelei's six Champion-level Pokemon, its defensive power already well-proven.
Faced with this barrier, Ash simply threw a punch, his fist glowing with a light blue aura.
"Bang!!"
"Crack crack crack!!"
A muffled boom resonated throughout the entire arena, a visible shockwave spreading outward from the two, blasting away all the stone and gravel on the ground.
And that psychic barrier, which could withstand the full-force attack of six Champion-level Pokemon, now had cracks spreading across it like a spiderweb!
"Break for me!!"
"Crack!!"
With Ash's angry shout, Mewtwo's barrier shattered completely. This scene left not only the surrounding Gary and others but even Mewtwo himself in total shock.
What the heck, what is your fist made of? Are you a Divine Domain Level Fighting Type Pokemon? How come you can shatter my barrier with one punch? This barrier wasn't even fazed by six Champion-level Pokemon attacking together, yet you just smashed it like that?!
While Mewtwo was in shock, Ash had already crouched down, his prepared left fist shooting out from his waist!
"Bang!!" This punch landed directly on Mewtwo's face, making Mewtwo's already bewildered mind even more dizzy—Friendship Face-breaking Fist!
"Thud—Bang—Crack!" With one punch, Mewtwo rolled dozens of times on the ground, finally embedding his entire body into the arena wall.
