# Chapter 59: Starving Venom Fusion Dragon
Meanwhile, when Yūga Hōzumi returned to the Ancient Ruin Area with Sylvio Sawatari, he witnessed a truly astonishing scene.
Yuya Sakaki stood atop Rune-Eyes Pendulum Dragon, eyes blazing red, hunting down the Obelisk Force minions. He was an unstoppable force, slaying all who stood in his path.
If only he could somewhat control the direction and intensity of Rune-Eyes' attacks.
In just a short while, Yūga Hōzumi saw many Leo Duel School personnel caught in the explosions generated by the dragon flame spewed by Rune-Eyes.
"This... is this Yuya?" Sylvio Sawatari gasped, wide-eyed with shock, looking at the rampaging Yuya Sakaki on the giant dragon's back.
"Who else?" Yūga Hōzumi shrugged, looking at the destruction wrought by Rune-Eyes everywhere, and couldn't help but click his tongue in amazement.
"Geez, this account boosting is way too fierce!"
"You're back. Is that guy dealt with?" Shun Kurosaki asked, coming up to Yūga Hōzumi after seeing him return.
"Of course, just a small spy. How are things on your end?"
"The Leo Duel School personnel were on the battlefield for the first time, after all, and they were almost unable to hold on. However, after this guy suddenly appeared, things became much easier," Shun Kurosaki remarked, watching Yuya Sakaki wreak havoc. "I never thought this kid was truly hiding his strength."
"The real trouble has only just begun," Yūga Hōzumi sighed, watching the tattered remnants of the Obelisk Force open their dimensional teleportation devices and retreat.
Sure enough, after the Obelisk Force retreated, before everyone could even celebrate, Yuya, eyes blazing red with bloodlust, roared as he rode Rune-Eyes, charging towards Yūga Hōzumi and the others.
"Take this guy and get out of the way. I'll make him sober up." Yūga Hōzumi grabbed Sylvio Sawatari by the collar and tossed him towards Shun Kurosaki, then slammed Hope onto his Duel Disk.
A golden light flashed, and Hope descended from the sky, its wings transforming into a shield, blocking the impact from Rune-Eyes.

On the ice plain, before Yuri's turn began, he looked at the three Demon Kings poised for battle before him and couldn't help but exclaim in admiration, "Is this the power of a duelist who stands at the apex of this dimension? Fusion, Synchro, XYZ—all mastered.
"However, there's one thing you probably don't understand: mastering everything also means you've mastered nothing.
"But there's nothing to be done about that. After all, in your dimension, you can only scratch the surface," Yuri said calmly. "Allow me to show you what a true Fusion Summon looks like.
"My turn! I draw!"
"I activate the Quick-Play Spell, Predaplast! I reveal three cards from my hand—two monsters and a spell—to place a Predator Counter on each of your monsters! Any monster Level 2 or higher with a Predator Counter has its level reduced to 1."
Three poisonous stingers flew out from the cards, piercing the bodies of the three unprepared Demon Kings.
D/D/D Blazefire King Temujin LV: 6 → 1
D/D/D Gale King Alexander LV: 7 → 1
Only D/D/D Wave King Caesar was spared, as XYZ Monsters do not have Levels.
"I summon Predaplant Ophrys Scorpio in Attack Position!"
"When Predaplant Ophrys Scorpio is summoned, I send one monster from my hand to the Graveyard to Special Summon another 'Predaplant' monster from my Deck."
"Appear! Predaplant Darlingtonia Cobra!"
"Since Predaplant Darlingtonia Cobra was Special Summoned by the effect of a 'Predaplant' monster, I can add a 'Fusion' spell card from my Deck to my hand. I'll add Fusion Substitute to my hand!"
"I activate the spell card, Fusion Substitute! I'll fuse the two Predaplant monsters on my field!"
Yuri pressed his palms together in front of his chest, and the two monsters on the field slowly spun and merged into one.
"Two enchanting flowers that lure insects with their fragrance, now become one! From the hell deep within your petals, give birth to a new threat! Fusion Summon! Appear! The poison dragon with fangs of hunger, Level 8! Starving Venom Fusion Dragon!"
A hoarse dragon's roar echoed from the vortex before Yuri. A moment later, the giant dragon with massive poisonous fangs unfurled its purple wings, emerging from the fusion vortex.

"When Starving Venom Fusion Dragon is Fusion Summoned using only monsters on the field as material, its ATK increases by the combined ATK of all Special Summoned monsters your opponent controls until the end of this turn."
The gold and crimson gems covering the purple dragon's body flashed with a dazzling light. As its gaze swept over the three Demon Kings before it, its aura surged wildly.

"Battle! Starving Venom Fusion Dragon, attack D/D/D Blazefire King Temujin!" Yuri ordered with a cold smirk.
The purple dragon roared, and several vines grew from its back, striking towards D/D/D Blazefire King Temujin.
"At this moment, I activate the Continuous Trap, Dark Contract with the Valkyrie!"
"I send one 'D/D' or 'Contract' card from my hand to the Graveyard to target and destroy one card on the field!"
"Also, while this card is in the Spell & Trap Zone, the ATK of all Fiend-type monsters I control increases by 1000 during my opponent's turn."
On Reiji Akaba's backrow, a set card flipped up. A long sword descended from the sky, sweeping towards the menacing purple dragon, and a golden light enveloped the three Demon Kings on Reiji Akaba's field.
D/D/D Blazefire King Temujin ATK: 2000 → 3000
D/D/D Wave King Caesar ATK: 2400 → 3400
D/D/D Gale King Alexander ATK: 2500 → 3500
The long sword fell, splitting the purple dragon in two and turning it into a gust of purple, poisonous wind.
"You fell right into my trap," Yuri said with a cruel smile.
"When Starving Venom Fusion Dragon is destroyed, all Special Summoned monsters on my opponent's field are destroyed!"
The purple wind swept towards the monsters on Reiji Akaba's field.
"I activate the effect of D/D/D Wave King Caesar! By detaching one Overlay Unit, all monsters destroyed this turn are Special Summoned from my Graveyard at the end of the Battle Phase! Then, during my next Standby Phase, I'll take 1000 damage for each monster summoned by this effect."
The purple wind swept across the entire field. The three Demon Kings temporarily left the field, leaving only Yuri and Reiji.
"When D/D/D Blazefire King Temujin is destroyed by battle or an opponent's card effect, I can add one 'Contract' card from my Graveyard to my hand. I'll add the Continuous Spell, Dark Contract with the Abyss, which I just discarded for my trap's cost, back to my hand."
"And when D/D/D Wave King Caesar is sent from the field to the Graveyard, I can add one 'Contract' card from my Deck to my hand. I will add the Continuous Spell, Dark Contract with the Swamp King, to my hand."
The two monsters' effects activated consecutively, and two cards emerged from the Deck and Graveyard respectively.
"Although you destroyed my monster, what will you do next turn? According to my information, all 'Contract' cards in your deck inflict 1000 points of effect damage to you during the Standby Phase. Add that to the 3000 points you'll take from the effect you just activated... It looks like I've won this duel," Yuri sneered.
