Chapter 50 - Chapter 50

Facing the rushing surge of electricity, Ben lifted his left arm to shield himself and charged forward.

Crackling—

The beam of current struck him, forcing him back a few steps, but Ben dug his rocky feet into the pavement and pressed on. Victor Doom clenched his teeth, increasing the current's output, arcs flaring violently around him.

Bolts of electricity exploded against Ben's stony hide, yet they couldn't stop his advance. With an inhuman tenacity, he trudged through the storm one heavy step at a time, forcing his way toward Victor.

"Doctor Doom will not be defeated!" Victor bellowed. Steam hissed from his alloy body as it glowed red-hot, his breath coming out in gusts of vapor. He looked terrifying—but Ben Grimm didn't back down.

"Then I'll keep hitting you until you do! Ahhh!" Ben roared, swinging a massive rocky fist. His seemingly clumsy arm shot out like a cannonball, slamming toward Doom's head.

Wham—!

The impact sent Victor Doom flying from the burning wreckage like a missile, hurtling straight toward Harry and the Storm siblings.

"Hey!" Johnny shouted as Doom came barreling toward them. "Sis!"

He called to Susan, motioning for her to intercept.

"Okay." Susan lifted her hands, creating an invisible barrier before Doom. But the sheer force of his momentum shattered it instantly.

"Oh my God!" Johnny cursed under his breath. He could tell something was wrong—Susan wasn't in her usual form. Flames flared up his arms as he prepared to act.

"Wait." Harry stepped in front of the Human Torch.

"What is it?"

"This is Ben's pass," Harry said with a smirk. "He's throwing him to me. I'll catch it." He looked toward Ben, who was still standing amidst the fire, raising a fist toward him in acknowledgment.

Harry started walking, then broke into a run. Power surged through his limbs as he accelerated—every muscle tightening in perfect rhythm. The body-enhancing power he'd taken from the Spider gave him precise vision and explosive strength. His veins bulged as he clenched his fist, and the latent power from the Hulk coursed through him, even without rage.

"Drink!" Harry shouted as he leapt, thrusting his fist forward. The air split before him, shockwaves bursting from the strike.

Wham—!

Another sharp impact rang out. Victor Doom didn't even have time to cry out before Harry's blow smashed into his face. His flight path reversed instantly—his body slammed headfirst into the street.

Bang—!

Crack—

Two sounds echoed together. The ground split beneath the impact, and a crater formed around a half-buried, gray-and-red inverted figure—Victor Doom, motionless like a fallen statue.

Harry landed lightly and walked up to him. Grabbing one of Doom's armored legs, he yanked hard, pulling him free and flinging him overhead. Doom's body crashed to the ground with a heavy thud.

"I… I failed… I failed… Doctor Doom has failed," Victor muttered blankly. The metal mask had come off, revealing part of his scarred face.

"Yes," Harry said flatly, stepping over him. "You lost."

He reached down and picked up the fallen mask. A deep fist mark was embedded in the metal.

Ding-dong—

"Unowned item detected — Latverian Metal Mask (Level 10). Convert to points?"

The familiar system tone confirmed Harry's suspicion. From his experience with Tony Stark's armor, he understood now how the system identified ownership. Bound items—like Stark's suit or powers belonging to Spider-Man or the Hulk—wouldn't trigger a prompt. But ordinary items, once seized, could be claimed automatically. Just like when he'd taken the Punisher's gear before.

Harry hid the mask behind his back.

"Convert," he said silently.

Ding-dong. The host now has 120 remaining points.

The mask vanished from his hand—absorbed by the system.

Moments later, sirens blared as a flood of police cars arrived, accompanied by a sleek black SUV among the standard black-and-white vehicles.

Two men stepped out. One of them, wearing a calm smile, spotted Harry and approached him immediately.

"Hello, Mr. Osborn," said Agent Coulson, extending his hand politely.

"Well, Agent Coulson," Harry said, shaking it with a smirk, "is your boss really that short on manpower? Why do I see you every time something goes wrong?"

"Of course not," Coulson replied evenly. "It's just that my current assignments are focused on New York. I handle high-level incidents like this one, so… we tend to cross paths." His expression never changed from that mild, professional smile. Of course, that wasn't the truth—he'd come personally because Maria Hill had rated this case as a high priority.

"Fine. Take him away. As for his condition, ask Mister Fantastic," Harry said, gesturing toward the fallen Doom before walking toward the Storm siblings.

"Sis, what's wrong? What happened back there?" Johnny asked, noticing her silence.

"I'm just tired," Susan murmured. "I'm going back. Reed's upstairs—it's fine." She turned away before Johnny could press further.

"What's going on?" Johnny muttered, scratching his head helplessly.

"Matchstick, you weren't much help," Ben rumbled, walking over and giving Johnny a heavy slap on the back.

"Ahh! You big lug!" Johnny yelped, clutching his back and glaring at him.

Harry chuckled, stepping forward.

"What's wrong with your sister?" he asked, watching Susan's retreating figure.

"I don't know," Johnny admitted, shaking his head.

"Alright then. I'll take my leave." Harry glanced one last time at Susan's fading silhouette, then turned away.

Ignoring Johnny's calls behind him, he slipped into a dark alley, disappearing into the shadows.
