After seeing off the three X-Men and Senator Kelly, Harry and Felicia drove to the Oscorp Building after breakfast.
"Miss Hardy." Felicia entered the building lobby first. The front desk staff immediately stopped her.
"What is it?" Felicia turned her head calmly and asked.
"This just arrived—it's addressed to Mr. Osborne. Ah! Mr. Osborne!" The blonde receptionist suddenly straightened when she saw Harry walking in behind Felicia.
"It's fine. Who sent it?" Harry took the small envelope from her, tearing it open as he spoke.
"It was a well-dressed middle-aged man. Very polite. He looked… like someone from the government," the receptionist said after thinking for a moment.
"Alright, I see. Get back to work," Harry said, putting the opened contents back into the envelope and looking up with a faint smile.
"Yes, sir," the receptionist replied quickly before hurrying off.
Harry and Felicia took the elevator up to his office.
"Crack!" Harry tossed the envelope onto the desk and sat down in his chair.
"What is it?" Felicia stood in front of the desk, glancing at the envelope.
"See for yourself. Nick Fury is very efficient," Harry said with a light chuckle, leaning back and resting his hands behind his head.
"Hmm." Felicia picked up the envelope delicately, poured out the contents, and unfolded the red paper inside. Her lips parted slightly as her eyes widened in surprise.
The dark red card was an invitation—an extremely important one.
"Harry, how did you get this?" she asked, startled.
Harry smiled, reaching over to take the invitation and open it.
"This is my payment for helping Nick Fury," he said.
"Oh, I see. If it's from Nick Fury, that makes sense," Felicia replied with a nod once she understood. "Then, you'd better get ready."
"There's nothing to prepare. Those people are all big names, but I doubt I need to prepare anything special." Harry shrugged.
"Alright," Felicia said helplessly, seeing his casual attitude.
A knock sounded on the office door.
"Hmph, that guy again." Felicia turned and, recognizing who it must be, made a soft, teasing grunt that only ever appeared in front of Harry before heading toward the exit.
"Yo! Miss Hardy, what a coincidence—you're here too." Tony Stark strolled in with his usual grin as Felicia walked past him.
Harry couldn't help but shake his head. Sure enough, the next second, Tony yelped loudly.
"Hmph." Felicia shot Tony a cold glance as he clutched his shoulder in pain, leaning against the door. Then, with a toss of her hair and a click of her heels, she stepped into the elevator.
"Oh, come on—she's gorgeous, but how can she hit that hard? That really hurt," Tony muttered, grinning as he sat down across from Harry.
"Hehe, why are you here again?" Harry asked, amused by Felicia's temper.
"Ah, this." Tony took a dark red invitation card from his pocket and tossed it onto the desk. "Heard you got invited too, so I came to check."
"You want to go with me?" Harry asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Of course," Tony said matter-of-factly. "You're my only friend. Who else would I go with?"
"Alright then, we'll go together," Harry said with a nod.
…
That evening, as night began to fall—
"Hahaha! Harry, looks like I'm winning this race!" Tony shouted over the comms, laughing loudly as he checked his rearview mirror.
"Not necessarily," Harry smirked and shifted gears. His enhanced perception kicked in, slowing everything around him to a crawl.
"Damn it! Harry, are you crazy?!" Tony, who had been laughing a second ago, suddenly saw Harry's blue sports car speeding up fast in his mirror. Panicking, he could only react instinctively, jerking his steering wheel.
Harry smiled, watching Tony's silver sports car swerve slightly, and twisted his own wheel.
On the street, the blue car drifted through a wide arc, perfectly overtaking the silver supercar.
"Honk—!"
An oncoming truck's horn blared as its headlights flashed bright enough to make Harry squint, but with his enhanced physique, that was the most reaction he gave. He swerved once more, narrowly missing the truck.
Though described in words, the entire maneuver took only an instant.
"Damn, that was awesome!" Tony shouted from behind, still stunned by Harry's maneuver before breaking into laughter.
"Tony, looks like I won!" Harry laughed, completely unfazed by the near miss.
By now, the destination was in sight.
Both cars slowed down, gradually entering the heavily guarded area ahead.
"Bang." "Bang."
The two sleek sports cars stopped among the rows of black government vehicles.
Harry and Tony stepped out and shut their doors.
"Hey, Harry, I didn't know you were such a good driver. If the distance had been longer, though, I would've caught up," Tony said, throwing an arm around Harry's shoulder with a grin.
Although Manhattan and Ellis Island were close, Harry didn't bother to argue.
"Then we'll race again sometime," Harry said, holding up a fist.
"Deal." Tony grinned and bumped his fist against Harry's.
Harry chuckled and shook his head, walking toward the entrance ahead.
