In less than an hour, the judgment from the Demon God of Hell was complete.
Mephisto, in his true form, floated a thousand meters above the plaster island, a cruel smile on his face as he watched the wailing Japanese below.
"Wail, fear, despair!" he chanted. "The more your anger and despair grow, the heavier your resentment—and the more delighted I become! Wahahaha!"
Souls filled with such hatred and despair were his greatest feast.
Suddenly, his expression hardened. He roared, "Gate of Hell, soul passage open!"
A colossal pitch-black gate tore through the sky above the island, blotting out the sun.
The entire world took notice. Satellites captured the unnatural portal, and news spread instantly.
Across China, celebrations erupted.
People cheered, lanterns floated in the streets, firecrackers cracked, and businesses offered food and drinks for free. Patriotic pride surged.
"Heh, the shackles are gone! The spirit of China is renewed! Its national fortune rises!"
Far away in New York, Leo watched an ethereal river of fortune flow invisibly across the nation. His satisfaction was absolute.
Meanwhile, Mephisto harvested souls frantically.
The flooding had killed half the population of the island, a banquet for Hell unlike anything he had seen in centuries.
"This… this is beyond anything!" he murmured, nearly in tears from joy.
Then, a figure appeared: Amaterasu, the God of the Japanese, her face shrouded in light, charging directly at Mephisto.
The remaining Japanese rejoiced. "God Amaterasu has come! Save us!"
But Mephisto only sneered. "A mere faith god of a tiny island dares to oppose me? Foolish!"
A massive, invisible Eye of Hell, a hundred meters wide, surged forward.
Amaterasu screamed, plummeting before she could react.
Mephisto grasped her soul, pulling it free in a terrifying display.
"Oh, such a powerful soul! Worth millions of ordinary humans!" he exclaimed, delighting in the harvest.
Amaterasu was gone. The Japanese' last hope was obliterated, their wails fading into the doomsday silence.
Less than one in a million survived, and even they were doomed.
The world watched in shock and confusion. Was this divine judgment? A natural disaster? Humanity's understanding of reality crumbled. Even science seemed powerless.
In America, officials were silent. Satellites revealed the intervention of the Human God, who had spoken with the trembling master of devils.
The small island's destruction confirmed it. A single command had determined the fate of hundreds of millions. Silence was the only response.
By the next morning, Leo had gathered his family.
"Ladies, is there anything else we need to bring? If not, we depart!" he asked.
"No, let's go!" they chorused.
"First stop—the Moon. We'll borrow transportation, then move to the next destination," Leo said, waving his hand.
Confusion erupted. "The Moon? Spaceships on the Moon?"
"Husband, are there aliens there?" Wanda and Natasha asked.
"Yes," Leo explained. "Early Earthlings forced to migrate there—Inhumans. They possess superpowers, much like Mutants."
The women gasped. Aliens living in secret, technology far advanced… and humanity never knew.
"How do you know, Husband? Have you been there?" Wanda asked again, skepticism in her eyes.
"I haven't—but I can calculate," Leo replied calmly.
"Tsk! Charlatan! Let's just go already—we're impatient," Wanda said, her excitement palpable.
With a flash of blue light, Leo and his family vanished, leaving Earth behind.
The Moon. Once revered in poems, sought by ancients for thousands of years. Its desolate beauty now welcomed new visitors.
