Rose turned a deaf ear to the whisperings and chattering of the healers in the infirmary. It hadn't been long since Rose came to, and from what she heard, Alistair had lost to Anastasia, and Damon had also faced the same against the redhead.
There were no words that could full express how Rose felt at having lost to Damon. She didn't know whether to be angry or sad. All she felt was the sheer reality of her incompetence. Another thing that was glaring to her was now her own position.
If Damon, the lesser brother had now defeated the sister supposedly superior to him, then was she now lesser than lesser? All their lives, Rose had lived with the fact that she was the superior one, but now, that belief had suddenly been shattered.
