After they left, the others noticed Alistair looking out of it. "Hey, Alistair, what's wrong?" Aric asked.
"It's that Namor guy." Alistair muttered gravely.
"What happened with him?" Fabian talked for the first time since they encountered the Merfolk.
"He's strong, extremely so." Alistair muttered.
The rest of their expressions also turned grave. For Alistair to admit that someone was extremely strong, it meant that that person was ridiculously strong.
"But you can beat him right?" Elsa asked.
Alistair contemplated for a moment before nodding. "I do not know." he said after a while.
"Why all the gloomy faces?" Anastasia suddenly spoke. "I'm still here aren't I?" She smiled with the kind of confidence only someone who was absolutely confident in their strength could do.
After the Merfolk separated from the humans, Nymeria noticed something, but didn't deign to ask until she was sure they were far away from the humans.
