Flare walks towards the hooded figure an envelope in hand, her steps suspicious and their conversation muted to hear.
Trying to get a hearing on the situation Levi hides, she had always given them trouble when things don't go her way, and even when they did she still considered them a sore sight for problems.
Being the cause of all the problems they had faced it was obvious what she was trying to do was suspicious, but even from the distance, he couldn't overhear what was transpiring.
Moving a tad bit closer and trying to remain unnoticed the words were barely audible that is until, he heard
"Can you finish the job properly, I want them dead and gone ...."
The hooded figure replied with a nod taking the envelope from her, it seemed to contain details of the person she wanted to eliminate and probably a payment of sorts.
Picking wind of what he had just listened to, it was obvious whom, she was trying to get rid off.
"I have to inform mom" thinking this he tried to leave as sneakily as he came, but his movement was interrupted as he crushes a twig beneath his foot.
He had hoped they didn't notice but in that situation he knew it was nothing more than wishful thinking, he stops in his track as he heard their movements drawing closer
He quickly puts his hand over his breath trying to make himself unnoticed, was this it, was this how his life was going to end
EARLIER THAT DAY
The short holidays had come to an end, and registrations for Levi had come to an end, as he prepares for the upcoming resumptions in "Private and Academic Institute for Pure Vampires "PAIP"
Levi walks down stairs, he steps echoing but not loudly as he walks into the dining,
He sees as how the servants scurry around each trying to find something
While at the table, Leth(an) sits having breakfast seemingly undisturbed by the commotion around him.
"What's going on?" Levi asks as he approaches the table sitting across Leth.
"You." Leth(an) says shortly as he takes continues eating his breakfast, "Their scurrying around trying to figure out, what you'll need for school."
"School?" Levi asks shock in his tone.
"Dad must've forgotten to tell you" Leth says as hi uses his napkin wiping off the crumbs from his mouth "Hurry up, or your gonna be late on your first day" he adds as he starts walking up on the stairs.
"wait... what of mom" Levi asks
"Don't know, didn't see her as i woke up, she must've gone out with dad" Lethan replies, his answer curt as he waves his hand dismissively "now, hurry up and get ready for school, vacations already over"
saying that Lethaniel heads up to his room, leaving Levi behind to ponder
Hours later
They both enter into the car with their driver at the front.
the drive is slow and quiet with the road smooth and straight, Lethan looks out the window with his hand resting against the door, his breath slow and steady as the morning dawn reflect dimly yet beautifully against his face giving his hair an almost different hue.
He sees Levi looking at him through the reflection of the window, he sighs making Levi startled a bit.
"What?" Lethan said resting his back against the seats as he crosses his arms, his eyes closing.
Levi looks at him almost surprised, his brother had barely said anything to him since he arrived at the estate, even though they had switched places once pretending to be each other, he barely knew anything about his twin.
His impression of him when they had first met was one of a cry baby, now the person beside him seemed to be quiet and composed.
Relaxing himself he faced forward finally replying "Nothing."
Hearing that Lethan opens an eye looking at him with at the person beside him "Really?" he asks
"Yeah"
"Fine if you say so" saying that he rests his hand against the door as he uses it to cup his face, while resting against it.
The rest of the ride is filled with silence, until they arrive at school. Murmurs go through the school as the black luxurious looking car pulls up the front gate.
the students nearby pause as they see the black car most of them already knowing who it was some stopping in awe as they admire the black car out front.
The driver come down making a turn around the car as he circles to open the door,
Alighting the car, Lethan steps down taking his bag from the driver as he bowed, Following him not far behind was Levi doing the same.
Seeing the two the compound is filled with whisper and confusion, seeing this Lethan walking ahead with no worry says maybe as a form of comfort although it didn't make the situation any better for his brother
"Just ignore them, Your class is next to mine, so just follow me"
Giving no reply Levi follows behind quiet, they reach the classrooms with Lethan giving directions to Levi.
Levi enters his class, all the attention turning to him as he does, trying to pay no mind to the stares, He walks casually yet carefully to an empty seat by the windows taking a seat there.
And by the minute the teacher had entered into class the focus on his had become more painstakingly noticeable.
After an exhausting class it was now lunch time, as he packed his things to look for Leth, he hadn't noticed the crowd that had formed before him, he looked up surprised yet trying to be as composed as he could, giving a fake smile the best he could muster in the moment he asked "anything wrong"
Hearing the question, silence filled the class, then a chilly air until
"Um, Lethaniel i didn't know you were going to be in our class? we would've prepared a better seat?" one of them said
"So that's why they kept looking at me" Levi thought to himself as they kept on talking, he had no intention of replying to them since he wasn't Leth and there was probably no way they would've known what he needed and could possibly prepare it, they were just students.
Continuously pestered by the questions, he had finally prepared to give in and reply until,
"Levi, what are you still doing?"
He recognized that voice, soft but loud enough for others to hear, the crowd turned to see who was it was but the figure behind them was a shock, a copy of the one in front of them
"Anything the issue" he asked, his eyes filled with icy coldness as he asked the people that surrounded the crowd, they froze unable to reply, they had mistaken the person in their class to be Lethaniel but wasn't, they had nothing to say, No they couldn't
Oblivious to the tense air surrounding him, Levi picked his bag, swinging it over his back as he replied casually
"Nothing"
"Nothing?"
"Yeah, they were just curious" he says as he drags Lethan away "Common, let's go, I'm starving"
Listening to Levi, they leave the class heading outside
"Hey, aren't we heading to the cafeteria" Levi aske his face full of questions, but the air remained silent with Leth ignoring him, after all unlike the school Levi had previously attended that was for human, this was a top school for vampires.
the students of a higher hierarchy, hunted for they're lunch, and it just so happened that at this school their family was with a standing that could make them royalty.
This was probably too much to tell a kid that was just thrown into a new environment.
they kept walking in silence, until they had reached a forest behind the school.
"What are we doing here?, wait why is there a forest in a school this could be dangerous?" Levi asked a mixture of fear and shock displayed in his face "Common Leth am starving here?"
Giving no answer, he remained silent as he hands his bag over to Levi "Wait here" leaving nothing but that word he runs into the forest.
Confused Levi run after him, his voice running dry after continuously shouting to wait up, but it was too late he was too far gone into the forest.
Tired and out of breath Levi turns back to trying to head back and wait, but of no use, he was lost.
He walks around to try and find a way out but it seems to have only gotten worst, he had only moved further into the forest. Exhausted, he sits resting against the tree behind him,
"Damn, I'm whooped... I should probably sit and wait for help. Leth seems to know his way around" thinking to himself he gives in tot the exhaustion.
Minutes later
Footsteps are heard at the distance, relieved Levi crawls out about to curse out his brother, he pauses as he notices that the footsteps are not that of his brother but that of FLARE
He moves back instinctively utter fear on his face, what was she doing here? he thinks to himself and she didn't seem to be alone.
He leans in closer trying to listen in on their conversation, but it was inaudible, that is until
PRESENT MOMENT
Quickly putting a hand over his mouth as he tries to make himself unnoticed, the steps steeped closer and closer
"uh- it's just a rabbit" he partner hissed as he cursed
"Either way, make sure you finish the task, i might even add a bonus if done well"
"Yes, ma'am"
