Chapter 13 - Chapter 3: The World (part 1)

(Dohma, Dark World)

"Are you saying that the demons of Abbadom are no longer in the service of their Dark Lord?"

"Yes, sir. It seems many things happened in Abbadom. Someone opened the door to an external world in Abbadom, and that same person is now the supreme lord of Abbadom...

Also..."

"What...?"

"It appears that this person has awakened the seed of the Dark Lord... He is a Dark Tyrant Prince just like you, sir."

"It's true that I sensed something like that, and surely all of you did as well... I expected to awaken the Dark Lord's seed in about 200 years. How is it possible for someone with a seed to appear out of nowhere? Should I intervene?"

"What shall we do, sir?"

"You are in my territory, and my territory will not submit to anyone other than me. I will be the next Dark Lord and King of Demons in this world. I have been cultivating my Dark Lord Seed for over 300 years, so I have a greater probability of becoming the next one.

Even so, find out more about this new Dark Tyrant Prince. I want to know who he is and where he came from."

"Yes, sir."

(Rindelnort)

Uriel had come out of the cave alongside Zerothiel. When they did, Daelvachor spoke to his new master with a voice so powerful that even Zerothiel could hear it:

"Lord, when I was part of Adámanas and the weapon of the Creator God, I remember there were cults devoted to my former master. After his fall at the hands of Chrom and the others, I do not know what became of them, and I..."

"Do you want to go see them?"

"Yes, I would like to know about them, since he sacrificed himself to protect this world and his faithful. I currently know the locations of the temples. Forgive me if I steal some of your time, but please grant me this so I will not have regrets."

"Very well. Zero, do you have any problem with this?"

"If it is your will, I shall agree, my lord."

"Thank you both. Then... we should first head toward..."

They set out, exiting the cave and once again forcing their way through the barrier to leave, moving away and traveling deeper into the Kingdom of Rindelnort.

After exploring some of the locations revealed by Daelvachor and only finding ruins and destruction, Uriel could not stop thinking that his new companion seemed somewhat sad and disappointed that the people his previous wielder had protected no longer existed.

There were still some locations left, so they did not give up and continued forward... until reaching an impoverished city in ruins, deep within a thick forest and inhabited only by black-and-white beings. Upon seeing them, these beings began to murmur and even cry out:

"What are they doing here..."

"They came for us..."

"Everyone prepare yourselves, they are people with color."

"Wait, we have not come to harm you."

"Lies... they have finally come for us. We will never accept your impostor god."

"Lord, lift me up. I will activate my second state. Someone here should be able to recognize me."

Uriel raised Daelvachor, who emitted a pulse of dark energy that spread throughout the village. And just when Uriel was about to activate his intimidation abilities, since showing Daelvachor didn't seem to be working... a voice from the back of the crowd began to speak:

"T—that energy... I feel it. It is the energy emitted by Adámanas, the sword of our lord. Move aside, let me see him... Lord Nih."

The figure of a woman dressed as a priestess ended up kneeling before Uriel and Zerothiel after stumbling through the crowd. As she lifted her gaze, she saw Uriel's face, who held Daelvachor in his right hand in his second state. Her eyes opened wide; it seemed she recognized the core of Adámanas.

"His form does not deceive me. I was trained to sense the energy emitted by the objects of our lord. I am certain that such a strong energy can only belong to the legendary Adámanas. Is it Adámanas?"

"Yes, I am. However, I now bear the name Daelvachor."

"Daelvachor... Then the one who wields you is..."

"It is my lord U—"

"Nih. It is our lord Nih, isn't it? Everyone, prostrate yourselves. Before us stands our true god, the one who sacrificed himself for us has finally returned."

"Nih? What is she talking about?"

"She... she is referring to my former master."

Uriel, not knowing what to say due to the situation, lowered Daelvachor and tried to clarify things a bit by saying:

"E—eh, my name is Uriel."

"Uriel? Then you have taken that name in this incarnation, my lord god?"

"What?... I am not..."

Zerothiel was completely ecstatic at what he was witnessing. Emotion overflowed from his eyes and was reflected in his face—impossible to hide. He was thrilled that his lord was now being revered as a god. He did not care who Nih was, only that people showed such respect toward Uriel.

"Lord Nih—no, our lord Uriel has returned to save us from the depravities and free us from the evil of the impostor god who forced our lord to surrender to protect us. He is the justice that will liberate us so we may live as our ancestors once lived, in happiness."

Uriel was somewhat surprised, not knowing how to respond to what was unfolding before him. Their gazes reminded him of his own eyes as he sought hope in his final moments of life in his previous world... How could he abandon people who looked at him with such eyes?

"Lord, my name is Aeris. I am a priestess of one of the few Nihist temples that remain. There are fewer of us every day, because the impostor god wants us dead and has been hunting us ever since our true god sacrificed himself for us."

"You must have gone through much, all of you. But let me tell you that I do not know if I am the one you are looking for... but I will defeat Chrom together with Zerothiel and Daelvachor."

"My lord, the mere fact that you can pronounce the name of the impostor god without suffering consequences, despite having incarnated as a Cherubim, proves your authority."

—It is true that I have never heard someone without color say Chrom's name directly, except for... This is very strange.

"Aeris... Do you know anything about the other temples? I went with my lord to several of the locations I knew, but they were in ruins or abandoned. What happened to the people of those places?"

"Some were destroyed by the Church, others managed to escape—some came here, others fled to the remaining temples. There are still two temples left, Master Daelvachor."

"My lord, that man at your side... why is he making strange faces?"

"Aahh, him... That is Zerothiel, a loyal demon under my command."

Zerothiel, upon hearing that they were speaking about him, slightly bowed in greeting with one hand on his chest and a faint smile on his face.

"A demon? He does not look like one, and also..."

Suddenly Aeris's eyes widened and trembled in surprise as she immediately fell to her knees, prompting those around her to also bow.

"This is the work of your power... Demons, like us, do not possess color. This is because my lord Nih had a good relationship with the demons—he was even said to be a friend of their King, according to the stories... Then you have rejected the impostor god's curse and returned color to this demon..."
