Site:Congratulations! You have become the Holy Dictator! Use your powers until you receive the next message privately.
Teer: What? Privately? How will I be contacted personally? Does it mean I got hacked? Nonsense! An international-level detective's data is not a joke.
While Teer was still scrolling through the dark web, Sukhi shouted from the kitchen, calling everyone for dinner…
Sukhi: Hey! Everyone come down, dinner is ready!
On the dining table, Annu, Kaavi and Katya were already seated, waiting. Teer stepped in with a tired expression plastered on his face.
Kamya: Oh dear, just sit here! I'll serve you the food.
Teer took his seat. Kamya and Sukhi placed food on everyone's plates and then sat on their own chairs. The whole family began enjoying dinner together.
Kaavi and Annu were sitting beside each other as always. Annu nudged her softly to grab her attention and whispered into her ear.
Annu (whisper): Sis, your summer vacation started too, right?
Kaavi: Yes!
Annu: Dad is not here, so let's ask Mummy for a family picnic trip. Grandpa is also here, so she won't refuse.
Kaavi: Yeah, why not?
Katya, sitting beside Annu, noticed her whispering into Kaavi's ear. She tapped Annu lightly on the shoulder, raising her eyebrows with a teasing smirk.
Katya: What secret are you sharing with Kaavi now? Tell me too.
Annu: Uh! Our holidays started, so I think we should go to the beach for a family picnic.
Katya: Sounds good!
Sukhi, overhearing them, called out to Annu.
Sukhi: No, not at all! You should learn some hobbies during this vacation, Annu. You have to attend the summer camp.
Annu's face twisted in disguised disappointment…
Annu: But I participate every year, Mummy! And the same thing happens every time—it just cuts down my holidays.
Sukhi: No. You can go after summer camp.
Annu: It will waste one whole week…
Teer: It's okay, Sukhi. Let her enjoy her vacation along with the summer camp. She'll attend the camp, and on the day after tomorrow, we'll all go to Juhu Beach.
Sukhi: But you know her father will be angry…
Teer: I'll talk to him. And he should take leave too. Is that okay for you, Annu?
Annu: Yeee! You're the best, Grandpa!
Katya: Wow, Annu! We'll be on the beach the day after tomorrow because of you!
Annu jumped in excitement, raising both her hands in pure happiness.
Seeing her satisfied, Sukhi let out a contented smile while eating her rice.
Kamya to Teer: So you will also take leave on that day!?
Teer: Yes, of course.
Kamya: So after a long time, you'll finally spend some time with us on a picnic. That day will be a nice day.
Teer (with a fake smile): Hmm!
After dinner, everyone headed to their bedrooms for sleep.
Annu and Kaavi went to their shared room, Teer and Kamya to theirs, Katya to her own room, and Sukhi didn't go to hers yet—she stayed awake, waiting for Rava, who was supposed to return in a few moments…
On the bed, Teer lay flat, eyes fixed on the ceiling, lost in thoughts.
Teer (thinking): No matter how much I try, the happiness I once carried cannot be regained. The creativity I had in killing people has now faded beneath my old age. One day I will die, and only then will this last remaining natural emotion—my boredom—finally end.
**[Next Day]
01 June 2026**
Teer was preparing for office early in the morning, while Kamya was packing his lunch.
Everyone else was still asleep.
His hair, though white with age, was still exceptionally dense and strikingly shiny. He combed it neatly, then put on his slim-fit cotton white shirt, paired with bluish-black pants held by a black leather belt, and finally slipped into his bluish-grey coat.
He gathered his papers in one hand and, after offering Kamya a firm yet gentle "bye," stepped outside. At the entrance of his house grew his cherished black roses; he plucked one and tucked it carefully into the pocket of his shirt.

Teer was walking through the corridor, heading toward his cabin. As he entered and settled into his chair, his personal assistant, Kartik Kumar, stepped in.
Kartik: May I come in, Sir?
Teer: Yes, Kartik. Come in.
Kartik: Sir, these are the reports of the recent cases. Most of them show a positive trend against Katil. This year, Katil's assassinations have decreased by 29%. It's the first time in history that their assassination count has dropped instead of rising.
But… there's also bad news. A new organisation has come under discussion lately—its name is still unknown. Some people claim this group kidnaps civilians from public places and sells their organs. Kidnapping cases had already been rising for the past two weeks, but two days ago, a 14-year-old boy was found dead near the edge of the Oshiwara River.
After investigation, there were no traces left behind by the culprit, but everything suggests it's connected to that organisation. The boy's post-mortem confirmed that several organs were missing.
Teer remained completely silent while listening, his head resting between both hands, eyes closed. After Kartik finished explaining, Teer spoke in a calm, low tone.
Teer: Prepare a case file. Who registered the case?
Kartik: The Government, sir. They've also announced a prize—2 lakhs for any individual team, and 25 lakhs for any organisation that solves the case first.
Teer: Good. Create the case file. Inform the 4th Division to work with you. Gather as many details as possible within one month, then compile the concluded case file and bring it to me.
Kartik: Okay, sir.
Teer: And… tell the HOD to grant a holiday to every employee and staff member tomorrow. Say it's the Chairman's order.
Kartik was leaving the cabin, still thinking about the unexpected holiday.
Kartik (thinking): A holiday for every staff member tomorrow… wow! Maybe Sir Teer is actually happy today. Or maybe he's just becoming kinder as he's getting older.
[Next Day]
02 June 2026
Teer was driving his 7-seater SUV toward Juhu Beach. He was at the wheel, with Rava sitting beside him in the front. On the middle seat sat Sukhi, Kamya, and Katya, and in the back seat Kaavi and Annu were perched together. Annu was so delighted about the beach trip that she kept swinging her feet and humming a cheerful little tune.
As they reached Juhu Beach, Rava spotted a good place.
Rava: Hey, everyone! Come here—this spot is perfect.
They spread out the carpet and arranged all the picnic things they had carried along. But the moment Annu saw the steamers lined up near the shore, she burst with excitement.
Annu: Hey! Hey! Steamers! Let's gooo!
Kaavi: You know I have sea sickness, Annu… I can't board a steamer.
Katya: I think we should play something first…
Kamya and Sukhi were still busy arranging the picnic setup, and Rava wasn't really interested in steamer rides. This made Annu a little annoyed. So she grabbed Teer's hand and tugged him gently, flashing her cutest smile.
Annu: Come on, Grandpa! Let's go on the steamer. With me!
Teer looked calm and happy on the outside, though something deeper was turning inside his mind.
Teer: Okay, princess… let's go. But only one ride.
Teer and Annu walked to the steamer ticket counter.
Teer: How much for two people?
Man at Ticket Counter: 200 for adults, and 100 for kids below 12.
Teer pulled out his mobile and asked for the QR code for payment.
Annu and Teer stepped into the steamer and quickly grabbed two seats. The boat was fully packed and moments away from starting its ride.
Annu (quietly, whispering): Grandpa… thank you.
Teer smiled softly as he looked at her bright little face.
The steamer began moving.
At first, everything seemed perfectly normal—but soon, a few passengers noticed something strange. The steamer had quietly crossed the usual turning point. Only a few meters ahead… but enough to feel off.
Some Passengers (surprised): Huh?… A gas?… What's happening?… It has no smell… look… look up…
A thin, almost invisible gas was hissing out through tiny pores on the ceiling of the steamer, spreading quickly throughout the entire cabin.
Annu (alarmed, confused): Grandpa… what is this gas? My body… it's getting numb…
Teer (thinking, with a faint sigh): This is… anesthetic gas…?
We're being kidnapped… My consciousness… slipping…
Teer's eyes closed—
—but not forever.
After few moment he wake up, gasping sharply for breath. His vision blurred for a moment then slowly settled. He found himself locked inside a small, square metal compartment.
Teer (regaining consciousness, panting hard): Huh!… uh… huh… uh… huh…
Where… am I?
My legs… chained? Why? It's like some kind of cage…
Yes… I remember…
On the steamer—everyone was kidnapped. When that gas spread, we all collapsed.
Wait—
Where is Annu?… Where is she!?
