The term Host refers to a human individual who possesses a Defekt.
Defekt:
A Defekt is a form of supernatural ability that manifests when the Host experiences intense emotional stimulation. The activation process is typically triggered by overwhelming psychological stress or trauma.
In certain cases, high-level Hosts may lose control of their Defekt, resulting in large-scale or catastrophic events. Even becoming wild creatures if the control is completely lost.
Each Defekt exhibits a unique weakness specific to the individual Host. However, all Defekts share a universal vulnerability known as burnout.
Burnout:
Burnout occurs when a Host exceeds the safe operational limits of their Defekt. As all Defekts are neurologically embedded within the brain, overuse places extreme strain on the Host's neural system.
Symptoms of burnout may include severe headaches, internal bleeding, cognitive disorientation, and, in extreme cases, death.
Burnout Host:
A Burnout Host is an individual who has repeatedly exceeded the limits of their Defekt to the extent that the condition has become permanent. These individuals exist in a continuous state of burnout, suffering from chronic physical and mental instability if they even attempt to use their defekt.
