Alex Rivers led Faora through the portal.
"Ding! Host carried one person across, deducting 1000 points."
...Marvel Universe.
After Alex left, Tony Stark had a significant showdown with his uncle Obadiah, just like in the movie. Wearing an upgraded Iron Man suit, Tony battled Obadiah's Iron Monger and narrowly won.
Following his victory, Tony boldly declared at a press conference: "I am Iron Man."
This revelation caused a global sensation—the mysterious superhero Iron Man's true identity was finally revealed, capturing the attention of people worldwide.
Now, alongside Superwoman, the world knew of another superhero, Iron Man.
Director Fury found Tony's boldness annoying, but there was little he could do. However, he planned to curb Tony's arrogance as he prepared to form a superhero team.
New issues arose quickly.
Fury had ordered his team to monitor Alex Rivers closely—but since S.H.I.E.L.D. couldn't hack into Tony's home surveillance, they lost track of her once she entered Tony's house.
Days passed, and Alex was never seen leaving Tony's residence, leaving Fury troubled and concerned.
"Motherfucker, it's truly a time of many troubles."
Already overwhelmed, Fury immediately dropped everything to personally visit Tony, hoping to clarify Alex's whereabouts.
Cautious about a powerful superhero with an unclear background, Fury took any unexpected developments seriously.
While Tony was out, Fury waited in his house, planning to have a "talk" with him upon his return.
Tony returned at dusk to find the house eerily dark, which was unusual.
"Jarvis! Lights on."
Just then, Fury emerged from the shadows, startling Tony.
"I am Iron Man," Fury quipped.
"Do you think you're the only superhero? Mr. Stark, besides Superwoman, there are many others like you, you just don't know it yet."
Tony looked at Fury in surprise, asking, "Who are you?"
"Director Fury, head of S.H.I.E.L.D.," Fury calmly replied. "I'm here to discuss forming the Avengers—but there's an even more pressing matter I need to discuss."
Tony paused, "Please, go ahead."
"Where has Superwoman been recently?"
"How would I know? I've never seen her. Isn't she a famous superhero? How could I possibly know her?" Tony played dumb; he had no obligation to answer.
"We saw her come here, and then she disappeared. You'd best tell me the truth."
"Alright, I'll tell you, but don't find it absurd," Tony said, intending to tell Fury something unbelievable.
"I've seen many things, just tell me," Fury said, his tone light, unfazed by the prospect of bizarre news; he had seen the Tesseract, after all.
"She traveled to other worlds for business."
"What did you say?" Fury frowned, not understanding Tony's words.
"She opened a portal and said she was going to another universe—then she vanished right before my eyes," Tony explained.
"Don't make fun of me, how is that possible?…"
Fury wanted to ask more questions, trying to extract more "facts" from Tony—but just then, a blue light lit up beside them, forming a portal.
The scene through the portal made Fury hold his breath—it was another world, the interior of a Kryptonian spaceship, and Alex was walking out with Faora.
"Welcome back?" Tony's tone was calm and natural, as if not surprised by Alex and Faora's appearance—witnessing Alex open a portal in his house last time had already shocked him.
He maintained his composure outwardly, only glancing at Faora.
However, Tony's curiosity about Alex's ability—to safely take people across worlds—remained strong, longing to experience such a journey.
"You... you really went to another universe?" Fury could hardly believe his eyes; it all seemed too incredible.
Fury glanced at Faora, his curiosity growing.
"Oh? Director Nick Fury (Bald Egg Director) is here too. Has your department name changed yet?" Alex said with a smile.
"Ha! Director Nick Fury (Bald Egg Director), that name fits," Tony quipped, mocking Fury in retaliation for startling him.
Fury was taken aback, his face darkening with anger.
"It's been changed. Now it's called S.H.I.E.L.D."
"I have important questions for you, and you must answer truthfully," Fury said seriously.
But Faora suddenly stepped forward, her demeanor different: "Earthling, do not be rude—you are speaking with our esteemed Kryptonian Queen."
"It's alright, Faora, we can forgive his oversight," Alex replied.
"Hmph!" Faora glared at Fury.
"Oh! Kryptonian Queen?" Tony exclaimed, looking at Fury for his reaction.
Kryptonian Queen? Fury's questions multiplied.
"What's this about a Kryptonian Queen?" Fury couldn't suppress his confusion, "You have too many secrets—Miss Rivers, please clarify my questions: First..."
"Are you done?"
"I'm done."
"Then I don't intend to tell you," Alex said with a faint smile.
One sentence left Fury speechless.
Tony laughed: "Haha, Director Nick Fury (Bald Egg Director), you need to respect people's privacy. Next time, don't sneak into my house and scare me."
"You're right, I was indeed somewhat 'for no reason'."
Fury was thick-skinned. Seeing the atmosphere tense, he paused, adjusted his emotions, and found a way to save face.
"We should learn to trust and wait—in the future, we will have more time together."
With that, Fury turned and left.
"Faora, in the future, if it's my true Earthling friend, we don't need to mind his oversight in etiquette."
"As you command, Queen, your subordinate understands."
