A knock on the door finally makes us break apart, though Eric is holding onto my hand tightly. The door opens and Dr. Pearson comes back in. "I have your prints. I'll also send the information to Dr. Stein."
"Thank you." I shake his hand.
"I expect you back for another sonogram in another ten or so weeks. Then we'll see the sex of the baby and how well it's doing." Dr. Pearson takes Eric's hand too and then hands him the prints and a stack of papers. "Take care of yourself. Make sure you get enough rest and that you eat well. I've also added some guides on proper eating and stuff like that with the pictures."
"I will." Eric nods seemingly calm, but the way he is holding my arm, the way he nearly pushes me out the door, it's clear that he doesn't want to
stay for much longer. His body is almost buzzing, that is how much he wants us to be alone again.
