I join Elias outside. He has put the tray on the small table there and is looking over the railing of the balcony.
"Shit. This is high." He shakes his head as he looks at me. "You can stand this height?"
I shrug. "You get used to it. I just spent over four weeks in a hotel double this size, at the top floor."
Elias shudders. "I don't think I could do that." He sits down on the other side of the table and nicks one of the sandwiches. "You like being mated to Max?"
"Yeah, he's a good man." And I love him.
"You broke many hearts." Elias smiles as he pops a piece of the sandwich in his mouth. "Including my younger sister's." He grins. "Not that she made a chance, also being an Alpha and all that."
"Why?" How did I break hearts?
"Because Alpha's can't be mated to other Alpha's. Duh." I sigh, smartass. "I mean why did I break hearts?"
