Ophelia cried as she fell. Her hair whipped around, impeding her view of the sky.
She didn't want to give those bastards any satisfaction, but an overwhelming fear tore through her body and forced itself out of her throat.
"AAArrghhh!"
The links of her chains rattled and clanked together — the only noise that overcame the whizzing wind and crashing waterfall.
'This is all unfair, so unfair!'
Tears welled in Ophelia's eyes as the sky above grew further and further away, her impending doom closer and closer.
Then it happened; in the span of a single breath.
A piercing pain whipped across her back, water filled her lungs. Followed by a dreadful, all-encompassing cold.
Her body was battered and barraged by the constant cascading water, forcing her deeper under.
As she spun, Ophelia coughed up a spout of blood; only for a torrent of water to shoot it right back into her mouth.
She choked on it.
Each time her lips parted, more water slipped into her lungs.
