Haruto panicked slightly and tried finding a reason why Madara wouldn't fast forward the Eye of the Moon plan.
'Is there even a reason for not fast forwarding it?'
'Once Madara regains his body in his prime, who's to stop him from stealing all the tailed beasts and becoming Jubidara once again?'
Haruto froze while packing up but since Daichi had already left no one was present to notice his outbreak.
'What am I going to do!!??'
'What happened, Haruto?' Megumin asked politely.
'I've been too swamped up by Danzo to think about it until now, but what am I going to do about Madara? What if Black Zetsu and Orochimaru resurrect him ahead of schedule!?'
Grindelwald, ever the helpful supporter of Haruto, spoke in a deep tone, 'I've been thinking about what you just said ever since our last discussion about Madara, and I might have a way to stop that from ever happening.'
'Grindelwald! You do!? How!!? Tell me! Quick! I have to act fast or this entire world is doomed since there'll be no one strong enough to stop Madara apart from the Otsutsuki.'
'Calm down, Haruto. The Otsutsuki are precisely what my plan hinges on.'
'The Otsutsuki?' Haruto repeated with a prominent frown on his face. He thought only for a second but an idea clicked within his mind instantly.
'You mean I should leak Black Zetsu's plan to resurrect Madara to Jigen?'
'Precisely, you took the words right out of my mouth.'
'Hmm… How would I go about doing that?' Haruto questioned everyone in the Template Inventory System, and although he had a few ideas already, which helped him calm down quite a bit, he wasn't sure about any of them yet.
'A way would be to lure Jigen out of hiding by giving him what he needs the most.' Unohana helpfully said.
'Giving Jigen what he needs the most huh… wouldn't that be Hiruko's research? If Jigen gets his hands on those he'll be able to create any number of perfect vessels given that Hiruko's body modifications are what allowed him to become one.'
'So you need to get your hands on the research…' Megumin said softly, understanding just how daunting the task ahead was going to be if Haruto was going to steal the research from the village.
But Haruto shook his head promptly, 'Obtaining the research will not be the difficult part… I have an idea as to how I can obtain it without risking myself in any way… what scares me the most is the amount of time it'll take to contact Jigen if all things go well… We need to be quick enough about it so that we can do this before Madara is resurrected and takes down all the Jinchuriki.'
Sigh…
'This is going to be difficult… as difficult as finding a needle in a haystack.'
Haruto then quietly packed up in the Interrogation and Torture chamber he was in and left the place with a neutral expression on his face.
Haruto arrived at training ground seven a little early today and found Kakashi and Naruto still present. And to his surprise, Naruto was practicing the Poison Extraction Jutsu. Of course since Naruto still hadn't learnt the three basic academy jutsu, this was going to take a very long time, perhaps even years to do.
'Why is Kakashi starting to train Naruto with the Poison Extraction Jutsu instead of the three basic academy jutsu?' Haruto wondered but couldn't find a reason, so he simply directly asked him about it.
"The three basic academy jutsu? Eh… would it really be beneficial to start from there?" Kakashi rubbed his chin and looked confused.
Haruto would've believed Kakashi's gimmicky face had it not been for his constantly twitching eyelid.
'He's doing this on purpose? Why?'
'Wouldn't that just stunt Naruto's growth?'
Suddenly Haruto thought of a reason why Kakashi was doing this, '....or does he want Naruto stunted on purpose so that he isn't forcibly sent off to participate on any missions just yet?'
Haruto nodded thoughtfully and dropped the matter entirely before pulling out his storage scroll and pulling out a few balloons from inside it.
Kakashi looked on at Haruto's balloons with a curious expression.
Haruto formed the seal of concentration and circulated chakra inside his body in a particular way he deemed necessary for the jutsu, passing the chakra through the tenketsu in his heart to enable tenketsu copy mode, then through the three tenketsu in his head before passing it all through his chest to convert it into fire nature chakra.
After all that was done, Haruto passed the chakra directly out of his palm and forcibly into the balloon that he was holding.
Fire exploded out of Haruto's palm and burnt the balloon and exploded it with a soft pop attracting Naruto's attention.
Seeing no big fireball to admire and only the remains of a popped balloon in Haruto's hand Naruto quickly lost interest and went back to learning his own jutsu.
But Kakashi was different, he looked on at Haruto's training session with interest and a little confusion.
'What's he trying to do?'
'I thought he was trying to learn the rasengan… but the rasengan doesn't need fire release…'
'Is it a new jutsu?'
'Where did he get a new jutsu from?'
'Or is he creating one of his own?'
'Hmm… interesting…'
Haruto on the other hand was too focused on his own failed execution of the jutsu just now to bother with anything else like Kakashi's persistent staring at him.
"That wasn't right… the chakra needs to be more like a needle to penetrate the skin of the balloon… not like a flame over a gas stove which heats it evenly."
"How do I get it into a more needle-like shape… is it purely chakra control?"
"Wait… I should try it out with Spiritually charged chakra to see if this actually works first."
With his plan settled on, Haruto generated some spiritually charged chakra inside his body and executed the same steps as before once again.
Only this time, what shot out of his palm holding the balloon wasn't an even flame that heated it but a sharp swift needle!
Only, the needle was visible because it pushed the balloon away from his palm instead of penetrating the balloon before the needle exploded in mid air. But since the needle was made out of spiritually charged chakra the explosion did not do much damage.
Kakashi's eyes widened with disbelief as he suddenly realised what Haruto was trying to do.
'Is this really possible?'
'It probably is… but it's going to be very hard since he's using the wrong element, lightning has better penetration powers… not fire… if he wants to achieve it with fire he'll need much better chakra control…'
Haruto on the other hand looked frustrated.
"Even using spiritually charged chakra didn't make it work?"
"Do I just lack the chakra control to make it possible or is it a fault with the element I'm using?"
"It's both…" Kakashi helpfully pointed out from a distance.
Haruto looked up at Kakashi and nodded, "So it's possible without using lightning?"
"It's possible but it'll be hard…"
"Harder than me having to train in lightning chakra nature from scratch?"
"....I don't really know about that, can't say definitively since that depends on your talent."
Sigh…
"Then I'll stick to fire release for now and work on improving my chakra control." Haruto said since he still had one more mission pending which would push his chakra control into the realm of an expert. Until then he'd just practice moulding his chakra normally to make the needle sharp enough that it pierces the skin of the balloon.
