Chapter 174 - chapter 93 part 4

chapter 93 part 4

Forcing his eyes open, Hidan turned his head to look and saw an unfamiliar man walking into the church, watching him with interest.

"Interesting, it seems I arrived just in time. Hidan, isn't it? You shouldn't be wasting your time in a place like this. After you complete your ritual, I will take you back to Hidden Leaf Village."

Tsukasa Kaede closed his eyes, then opened them again; one eye had already transformed into a Three-Tomoe Sharingan, and he was carefully observing Hidan's condition.

Through the Sharingan's vision, he saw something akin to Chakra surging into Hidan's body, reconstructing Hidan's physical structure.

"This must be... solidifying? If I had a Byakugan, I could see it more clearly. But Jashin's mode of operation is completely different from the Reaper's; one specializing in the body, the other specializing in the Spirit Body? It's truly an unexpectedly good fit."

Tsukasa Kaede was very interested; after all, Hidan was the only anomaly in the Shinobi World.

In the Anime Timeline, during Boruto's era, there was a guy named Ryūgi who greatly admired Hidan but didn't possess Hidan's Undying Body, so he used Hypnotic Gas to make people hallucinate, claiming he could resurrect the dead without sacrifices.

To obtain Immortality, Ryūgi specifically deceived Living Humans, intending to sacrifice this group of Living Humans to make himself the second Hidan.

"Damn it, how dare you trespass on our Jashin cult's territory! You're asking for death!" A follower charged Tsukasa Kaede and was kicked aside by Tsukasa Kaede.

"Sharingan, are you from the Uchiha Clan?" The Bishop barely regained a shred of rationality from his fervent emotions, but not much.

But Tsukasa Kaede completely ignored these guys and stared for a few more seconds, through Hidan, further understanding Jashin's situation.

"Hmm, if I'm not mistaken, at any given time, Jashin can only reside within one follower, and granting that follower Immortality is Jashin's ability."

In other words, Hidan, this lucky fellow, is highly fused with Jashin, and unless there's a major unforeseen event, Jashin will not possess other followers.

As for what this "major unforeseen event" specifically entails, that's hard to say. It could be Hidan's life, or Hidan failing to perform rituals or provide sacrifices regularly.

"In other words, as long as Hidan can regularly perform rituals and offer sacrifices, his Immortality won't disappear. I understand now. It was worth it for me to specifically send a Zombie to bite this guy and inject my power into his body." Tsukasa Kaede was very satisfied.

"Even if he's from the Uchiha Clan, he must die! Kill him, and sacrifice him to Lord Jashin! Lord Jashin will surely like the Sharingan!" The Bishop roared loudly and charged forward, brandishing his huge scythe.

The followers swarmed forward.

Tsukasa Kaede formed Hand Kaedegns and Summoned a Coffin, from which Araki of the Sand burst out, ripping up the floor in the cramped space, kicking up dust downwind, and creating a Sandstorm.

Tsukasa Kaede ignored these disheveled individuals. Wherever he walked, the sandstorm automatically dissipated, and he finally stood before Hidan.

"What the hell is going on with you, you bastard? So many powerful adults are actually being..." Hidan, grimacing, was utterly shocked.

In his limited experience, Tsukasa Kaede was so arrogant and overbearing, the powerful Jashin cult couldn't resist him at all.

"Get up, Hidan. Your ritual should be over. Jashin is with you."

"Huh? But I... Eh? All the wounds on my body have stopped bleeding? What's going on? Has Lord Jashin revealed Himself?" Hidan was both surprised and delighted. He clenched his fists, feeling the surging power.

Tsukasa Kaede said, "Sort of. You also have my power within you. Jashin and I combined our strengths to heal you. You dug up my minion, which is why I came to find you. You're very lucky."

"So you're Tsukasa Kaede? One of the people who turned the Land of Hot Water into this hellish state...?" Hidan sat up.

"Wrong. It was the Four-Tails Jinchuriki from Hidden Stone Village who turned the Land of Hot Water into this. I was the one who stopped him. I was the one who allowed the Land of Hot Water to be preserved to the greatest extent."

"I see. Sounds complicated. Four-Tails Jinchuriki and all that, I've never even heard of it. But thanks for helping me. Now I'm going to do it myself."

Hidan looked with a ferocious expression at the followers present, especially the Bishop!

Tsukasa Kaede stood casually and said lightly, "Go ahead and do what you want. I'm eager to see what you'll become when both my power and Jashin's are mixed in your body. Don't worry about any physical deficiencies."

Tsukasa Kaede raised a hand and pressed down. Hidan's pockmarks and deformities immediately began to grow and heal. This casual gesture once again stunned Hidan, leaving an indelible impression on him.

Mysterious, powerful, composed—these were all traits that Hidan admired.

"I'll have a good talk with you later. First, I'm going to kill these guys."

Hidan howled and pounced on the followers, initially using his fists, then seizing the Bishop's scythe and wildly hacking away, without any discernible technique.

Clearly, Hidan had not undergone any training and fundamentally didn't understand how combat worked; currently relying solely on his Immortality to brute-force kills.

"Wait, you've already received Lord Jashin's favor! We are all your subordinates!"

"I want all my subordinates to dieeeeee!! Lord Jashin said He likes you, I'm going to send you to meet Him!"

Individual followers became terrified and tried to escape, but found that Araki of the Sand had already sealed all routes.

Finally, Hidan was covered in blood and bits of flesh, leaning on his scythe and panting heavily. He proudly lifted his chin and surveyed his surroundings.

"That was slow, Hidan. Apart from your Immortality, you have absolutely no fighting power. Without my help, after a few more fights, your body would be shattered into pieces, and that would be more painful than death."

Tsukasa Kaede shook his head; this teenager's fighting power was simply unbearable to watch.

However, it wouldn't be long before things changed.

"Alright, I'm done with my business, it's your turn. You just said you'd take me back to Hidden Leaf Village? I don't want to go to a place like that. I want to stay in the Land of Hot Water to find sacrifices for Lord Jashin." Hidan plopped down on the ground, without caring that the ground was sticky.

Tsukasa Kaede said calmly, "You might have misunderstood one thing. I'm not discussing this with you, but informing you of the outcome. You also don't understand the true state of your body... Corpse Release: Zombification Jutsu!"

Hidan immediately let out a shriek, struggling violently, feeling two powers furiously clashing within him, each wanting to corrupt his body and gain control.

But when Tsukasa Kaede stopped the Jutsu and all the Virus became dormant, the pain immediately ceased.

"I can even command the Reaper. How much nobler can your Jashin be than the Reaper? A part of this body of yours also belongs to me," Tsukasa Kaede said.
