"Mr. Black? I'm Jennifer Lee from the temp agency. I'll be filling in as your secretary until HR finds a permanent replacement."


Liam stared at her like she was speaking a foreign language. Replacement. As if Isabella could be replaced.


"Fine," he said curtly. "I need the Morrison files, coffee—black, no sugar—and the quarterly reports on my desk in fifteen minutes."


Jennifer's eyes widened. "Um, where are the Morrison files?"
