Cherreads

Chapter 209 - 209

Ash's Charizard grabbed Mewtwo's Charizard and then started to ascend rapidly. After the impact of Flare Blitz, Mewtwo's Charizard was still in a dazed state, and the counterforce from forcibly breaking Protect was not insignificant.

However, the recoil from Sacred Fire combined with Flare Blitz made Ash's Charizard suffer unbearable pain. If not for its incredible willpower, it might even struggle to stand.

Without the support of Ash's Aura Power, using Sacred Fire at his current strength is extremely difficult, not to mention pulling off a major combo like Sacred Fire combined with Flare Blitz.

It's now completely a battle of wills, and Ash's Charizard has the upper hand. The trials faced during its Charmander days have now transformed into Charizard's indomitable spirit. Even without Aura Power, without Sacred Fire, it has something far that exceeds other Pokemon: its willpower!

As Charizard's figure ascended to tens of meters high, it began to spin in the air with Mewtwo's Charizard. A planet quickly formed in the air, and after a few rotations around the globe, Charizard fell like a meteor!

Mewtwo's brow furrowed into a river symbol, a slight ripple appearing on her face. After hesitating for a moment, her eyes finally lit up with blue light.

However, just as the light started to shine, Ash somehow appeared in front of her. His brown eyes stared at her intently, and his fist was clenched tightly. If Mewtwo made any move next, his fist would unceremoniously swing out!

Previously, Ash didn't notice Mewtwo's move, so he couldn't counter it.

Later, Mewtwo used her flawed logic to claim that neither side could use their power for assistance, so Ash also retracted his Aura Power, believing that Charizard could defeat its opponent even without his Aura Power.

But once his power was withdrawn, Mewtwo might not necessarily keep her word. Even if she temporarily adhered to it, it was because her Charizard hadn't reached the brink of defeat. If facing a one-hit kill scenario, Mewtwo might take action!

This is influenced by the bad influence of Team Rocket and Giovanni, who lack any sense of honor.

Ash also anticipated and prepared for this instance by directly blocking Mewtwo when she made her move.

He is someone who sticks to the rules: Pokemon versus Pokemon. Since the rule was set, he would act accordingly. If trainers were not to interfere, then he wouldn't.

He hadn't made any moves yet, so if Mewtwo were to act, it would be somewhat out of line. If such a thing were to happen, she can't blame him for not being courteous.

Mewtwo's eyes still shone with blue light, but no Superpower emerged from her body. One reason was that Ash blocked in front of her, and she could sense that Ash was actually quite difficult to deal with. But ever since her breakthrough, she feared no enemy, so even if Ash was challenging, she had confidence she could subdue him in an instant.

However, interfering in a battle in the end doesn't stand to reason, especially since she was the one who initially decreed that neither side's trainer could interfere in the fight. If she was caught taking action after being discovered, it wouldn't look good.

Another point was that at such close proximity, Mewtwo could more clearly feel the force belonging to Ash, which she originally thought was her essence, the source.

But she looked at Ash's Pokeballs on his waist, then glanced at Ash's backpack, and a trace of doubt arose in her heart.

Ash's Pokemon should all be in the Pokeballs on his waist, so why did she feel the power inside Ash's backpack?

Could it be that Ash specifically put Gardevoir's Pokeball in the backpack?

In the brief moment of Mewtwo's hesitation, Charizard had already successfully executed Seismic Toss!

"Boom!!"

Intense tremors spread from the center of the field outward. The already tattered ground became even more broken. A thick haze rose from the center, obscuring the view of what lay within.

Everyone held their breath, eyes fixed on the arena as the mist gradually dissipated, Ash and Mewtwo also turned their gaze toward the center of the field.

Seconds later, the haze hadn't cleared, but an orange-red figure shot out of the mist and finally landed on the other side of the arena, standing tall.

"That Charizard is... Ash's Charizard! There are no patterns on its body!" Misty was the first to recognize Charizard. As a constant companion, she was extremely familiar with Ash's Charizard.

Furthermore, Mewtwo's Charizard bore some strange patterns, making it easy to distinguish between the two Charizards.

The final victor was decided; Ash's Charizard achieved ultimate victory!

"Won... we won!!" Corey hesitated at first, but after repeatedly confirming that the Charizard standing was Ash's, he finally shouted out excitedly.

Although having a rookie help them regain face seemed rather embarrassing, no matter how embarrassing, it was better than losing to a Pokemon controlled by another Pokemon!

Corey, Neesha, and Fergus actually have significant objections to Mewtwo's so-called strongest Trainer. They are quite concerned about the hierarchy between humans and Pokémon, unlike Ash and Lorelei, who are more open-minded.

To Ash and his friends, whether it's humans or Pokémon, they are equal beings. Although humans act as Trainers and command Pokémon in battle, this is not a superior-subordinate relationship but an equal one.

However, some people, like Corey and his kind, don't think this way. Even though they don't treat Pokémon as slaves, they have an inherent sense of superiority when facing Pokémon.

They can't accept being stepped on by Pokémon, so even if Ash, a Trainer who has just debuted, steals the spotlight, they prefer it to being crushed by Mewtwo!

In fact, Mewtwo's current form also has something to do with humans who hold such ideas.

But now, with Ash's Charizard winning, the battle for the 'strongest Trainer' has concluded.

Mewtwo initially had the upper hand, but in the end, Charizard single-handedly defeated three in a row and brought her down to the ground.

She lost.

Mewtwo's expression remained calm, revealing nothing of her thoughts, while Corey, seeing no response from Mewtwo, spoke again, "Hey, you called Mewtwo, you've already lost. Being a Trainer is a human duty. You Pokémon should just battle obediently. This battle has brought you back to reality, hasn't it?"

"That's right. Even though I don't know the purpose of this tournament, the result proves that we humans are the real Trainers. Pokémon can't be Trainers; you should just obediently be captured by humans from now on!" Neesha added in agreement.

However, their words caused Ash's face to darken, and Lorelei's brows furrowed slightly. Originally, they could have had a good chat with Mewtwo after the battle ended, but these two were simply adding fuel to the fire. Mewtwo wouldn't be in the mood to listen to them now.

As expected, Mewtwo's previously calm face instantly showed anger: 'What did you say?!'

A terrifying telekinesis bypassed Ash and directly acted on Corey and Neesha, lifting them high and firmly binding their limbs. Fear and pain appeared on their faces.

Fergus, who was sitting nearby and initially wanted to say something, promptly shut his mouth.

It's fortunate he had already suffered once, so this time he didn't speak out of turn. Only pain makes one clearly aware of one's position and situation.

This Mewtwo is clearly different from normal Pokémon; it's actually the strongest Pokémon present. The power that was exerted on him in that instant still left Fergus with a slight fear.

"Mewtwo, stop this at once, don't make things worse!" Lorelei sternly ordered Mewtwo to halt.

'Make things worse? What mistake have I made? It is you humans with entrenched class ideals who are in the wrong! You humans are not fit to be the rulers of this planet!' Mewtwo's cold voice resonated within everyone's minds.

Corey and Neesha, suspended in the air, felt the telekinetic force binding them suddenly tighten, a suffocating sensation rising within their hearts, yet they couldn't move at all.

"Bang!!" A dull sound resounded throughout the arena, and Corey and Neesha, who were restrained in mid-air, fell straight down. Charizard caught Corey, while Brock used his unmatched strength to catch Neesha.

Over on Mewtwo's side, Ash maintained a punching posture, while Mewtwo's body slid back several meters from the friction.

Undoubtedly, the reason the telekinetic restraints on the two were released was that Ash had punched Mewtwo, making her withdraw the telekinesis that bound them.

Mewtwo lowered her hands supporting her front and looked at Ash with a surprised expression. She hadn't expected Ash to actually dare to strike her, much less that the power of his punch was so strong!

Without using superpower to defend, her arms had even lost feeling.

Don't be deceived by her being a Psychic Type Pokémon, her physical body is relatively fragile, but that's only relative to Pokémon of the same level.

No matter how fragile, she is still a Divine Level!

A mere human, relying on the strength of his body to paralyze her arms and render them numb, what kind of power is this?

"Mewtwo, Miss Lorelei is right, don't make mistakes on mistakes. I don't know what misunderstanding you have about me or humans, but I think we can sit down and talk about it properly!" After stopping Mewtwo, Ash also passionately advised Mewtwo.

From the beginning, coming here was with the belief that Mewtwo might have fallen into someone else's hands; he was still worried that Mewtwo escaped one predicament only to fall into another, so he came here without much thought, his purpose being to rescue Mewtwo.

The result was that this event was entirely orchestrated by Mewtwo herself, and only seven days had passed. He didn't understand why Mewtwo suddenly had such a strong opinion against humans, was it just because she discovered the psychic essence within Gardevoir?

But even if it involved the psychic essence inside Gardevoir, they could sit down and discuss it. If Mewtwo could extract it without harming Gardevoir, Ash wouldn't disagree to return the psychic essence to Mewtwo.

If it couldn't be done, then Ash could seek help from the group of experts; they would surely have a solution.

So, if Mewtwo's only goal was the psychic essence, Ash felt there was no need to cause such a mess; she could have just come to him directly!

Ash couldn't fathom what purpose Mewtwo had behind orchestrating this strongest Trainer drama.

'Make mistakes on mistakes? What mistake have I made? It is you humans who are in the wrong! I know you're puzzled about why I held this strongest Trainer tournament, right? Because I'm aware of human nature; when it comes to titles like strongest, first, you humans flock to it eagerly!'

'I plan to utilize the Pokémon of you strong Trainers to create a Pokémon army of my own, and then strike back at humans! I want to create a world where Pokémon rule over humans. This is my revolution!'

As Mewtwo's words ended, her eyes shone brightly, and an opening appeared at the edge of the arena, followed by a swarm of black Poké Balls emerging like locusts, targeting the various Pokémon in the arena!

As a black Poké Ball struck Corey's Venusaur, Venusaur was instantly captured without any ability to resist.

Seeing this, Corey, completely disregarding his inner fear, shouted at Mewtwo, "What did you do to my Pokémon! Give me back my Venusaur!!!"

Even Lorelei was stunned by the scene before her; once a Pokémon is captured by a Poké Ball, it is protected by a special mechanism within the ball. Other Poké Balls, when thrown at captured Pokémon, are supposed to bounce off, yet these black Poké Balls were unaffected.

Not only could they forcefully break the restrictions of a Poké Ball, but they could also disregard a Pokémon's will, even more overbearing than a Master Ball!

"Pikachu, use Iron Tail to smash that Poké Ball!!" Upon witnessing this scene, Ash immediately commanded Pikachu.

He targeted the black Poké Ball of Venusaur; his tail behind him glowed with a metallic sheen, then leapt fiercely down!

"Crack!"

Iron Tail smashed the Poké Ball into pieces, allowing Venusaur to come out of it, an expression of relief and lingering fear on its face, suggesting that its experience inside the black Poké Ball wasn't pleasant.

"Mewtwo...you've gone too far!" Ash eyed Mewtwo sharply, his voice tinged with an indescribable anger.

This time, Mewtwo's actions genuinely angered Ash!
