Chapter 41 - “The Brother Who Walked Through Blood”

As everyone stared at Hao, who was crying uncontrollably, a sudden shift swept through the execution grounds.

At first, no one understood what they were feeling—

but then it hit them.

A murderous intent.

Not just strong…

overwhelming. Crushing. Violent.

So terrifying that even ten Heaven-Realm experts who were seated comfortably in the spectators' area shot up from their seats in shock.

The sect master, senior elders, even the scarred woman start looking around to find how is emitting such a overwhelming murderous intent.

The pressure spread like a storm.

Normal humans, unable to withstand even a fraction of it, began collapsing one by one, losing consciousness as fear strangled their hearts.

Some clutched their chests.

Others trembled.

eyes wide with terror.

Even trained martial artists felt their knees shaking.

Among them, the Allinsec Leader had the sharpest senses.

He was the first to understand exactly where this terrifying aura was coming from.

Slowly… stiffly… he turned toward the Allinsec great gate.

And there he saw him.

A lone figure standing at the entrance—

motionless, yet radiating a killing intent so thick it felt like a blade cutting through the air.

His eyes were fixed on one thing:

Soho's lifeless body, still cradled in Hao's trembling arms.

Then he looked at Hao—

at the boy who was crying like his soul had shattered.

A cold shiver crawled down the leader's spine.

Because the man at the gate was someone he recognized.

Jisoo.

soho elder brother and general of the Empire.

And he was burning with so much rage that even his clenched fists had begun bleeding. Blood dripped from between his fingers, yet he didn't seem to notice.

His eyes—

those eyes were filled with nothing but murderous fury.

Just by looking at his brother's corpse…

Jisoo's killing intent surged like a rampaging demon.

People began to panic.

The crowd pushed back.

More and more started fainting.

Even the execution guards froze, unable to move under the sheer pressure.

And Jisoo took a step forward—

slow, heavy, as if every movement carried the weight of a collapsing world.

He thought him self "I promised mother I'd protect you…"

He began walking toward Soho's corpse.

His eyes didn't look left, didn't look right—

they were fixed only on his little brother's lifeless body.

Each step felt heavier than the last.

Not because he was weak…

but because his heart was breaking with every inch he moved closer.

People could feel it—

the grief, the rage, the killing intent mixing together like a storm about to explode.

As Jisoo approached, the executioner stationed in front of Soho's body stepped forward, raising his blood-stained blade.

"Stop right there!" the man barked loudly, trying to hide the tremble in his voice.

"Where do you think you're going?!"

Jisoo slowly lifted his head.

There was no hesitation, no fear—

only anger… and deep, suffocating sadness.

He said a single word:

"…Move."

But the executioner didn't move.

Or maybe he couldn't—

frozen by pride, frozen by fear, frozen by the belief that he was in the right.

That's when Jisoo noticed something.

The blade in the executioner's hand…

it was covered in fresh blood.

Soho's blood.

And in that moment, Jisoo understood—

this was the man who killed his brother.

The executioner opened his mouth to shout again—

but no sound came out.

Because his heartbeat suddenly grew louder.

Faster.

Violent.

Like a drum being smashed from inside.

Thump… thump… THUMP… THUMP…

His veins bulged.

His eyes widened in terror.

And then—

BMMMM!!

His heart burst.

The executioner's chest exploded like an overfilled balloon, blood scattering in every direction as his body collapsed like a broken puppet.

Screams erupted.

People backed away.

Some fainted instantly.

But Jisoo didn't even spare the corpse a single glance.

He walked straight past it.

And then—

what happened next stunned the entire Allinsect Sect.

Jisoo stepped into their territory…

and without hesitation…

he began killing every Allinsect member he saw.

Disciples, guards, elders—

it didn't matter.

Not to Jisoo.

Not after what they had done.

right in front of the Allinsect Leader…

right in front of ten Heaven-Realm masters—

and still, he killed their people without blinking.

Every strike, every movement, every burst of aura carried only one message.

A message clearer than any declaration.

Jisoo had declared war.

War against the entire Murim Allinsec .

The disciples screamed. The elders panicked.

Blood was still dripping from Jisoo's blade when—

BOOM!

The Allinsec Leader descended from the high platform in a single instant, landing with such force that the ground cracked beneath his feet.

Before Jisoo's next strike could land, the leader's sword flashed—

and he blocked Jisoo's blade with only one hand, sparks exploding between steel.

The ten Heaven experts immediately understood the danger.

"GET THE PEOPLE OUT OF HERE! NOW!"

they shouted in unison.

And they were right.

Because this wasn't just a clash.

Jisoo was a Heaven Realm expert…

But the Allinsec Leader—he was Transcendent Realm.

A battle between the two would be like watching gods collide—

and any normal person caught in the shockwaves would die instantly.

The leader stared at Jisoo, locking his blade in place.

So strong… and so furious.

I thought those brothers didn't care about each other…

But I was wrong. Dead wrong.

Then why… why did they never act like brothers?

Before he could finish the thought—

CLANG! CLANG! CLANG!

Jisoo gritted his teeth so hard his jaw trembled, and his blade suddenly accelerated—

faster, faster, faster—

each swing heavier than the last, fueled by rage, grief, despair.

But the Allinsec Leader matched every attack.

Every slash.

Every strike.

Every killing blow.

Blocked.

"Do you even understand what you're doing?!"

the leader roared over the sound of crashing steel.

"You're fighting an entire allinsec because of a criminal!"

Jisoo stopped for half a second.

He slowly lifted his head—

his eyes filled with hatred, pain, and betrayal.

Then he spoke, voice trembling with fury:

"I know your sense of justice…

You hypocrite."

The words hit like a sword to the heart.

For the first time,

the Allinsect Leader had no reply.

But silence didn't last long.

He suddenly stepped back—

and his foot slammed into Jisoo's chest.

BAMMMMM!!

Jisoo's body flew like a ball shot from a cannon, crashing into the stone wall so hard it shattered into a spiderweb of cracks.

Dust filled the air.

The ground shook.

People screamed.

But even buried in rubble—

Jisoo pushed himself up, blood dripping from his forehead…

and lifted his blade again.
