In the early morning....
In an old, dilapidated room, there was a radio... and the sound of a person speaking through the radio.
[Good morning everyone, we are back with you again.]
[A lot of things have happened, and we are here to cover those events.]
[We will now begin with the Gates incident.]
[Yesterday, the 5th of October, multiple Gate breaks occurred.]
[But fortunately, they were stopped in time, and the disaster ended quietly.]
[However, it wasn't something ordinary; it was a deliberate act by a local gang called the Red Hand.]
[It seems these criminals, who were complicit in causing the disaster, also tried to cause riots and destroy public property.]
[Almost all of them have been arrested. The police say most of them died under mysterious circumstances, and a shocking fact was discovered.]
[They were investigated, and it was discovered that there were complicit individuals inside the H.E.R.O.E.S organization, and they were arrested.]
[The leader of that gang, Elbero, has been arrested and sent to the hospital. His condition is still unconfirmed.]
[He has been charged with the highest form of treason - treason against humanity - and he and his family have been sentenced to life imprisonment.]
[This might seem harsh, but he was on the verge of causing multiple Gate breaks. Thousands would have died because of his scheme.]
[Mayor John himself has decided to congratulate Aegis and H.E.R.O.E.S for their work in protecting the city, and he will give a speech shortly.]
The person got up from his sleep, wearing a white shirt.
"Ugh, what happened? Hey, where am I?"
Kuro asked as he looked around at an unfamiliar apartment, not his usual one. He put his hand on his forehead, trying to remember.
"Huh, let me remember what happened yesterday...
....
In an abandoned parking lot....
Kuro was outside a Gate surrounded by military personnel. They relaxed when Kuro brought out the Gate crystal, and it was slowly fading.
This was the last remaining Gate before a break would have occurred. Kuro moved his arms, and his bones cracked. He was tired, not to mention he had gone in with his clothes almost torn; he almost looked like a beggar.
While Kuro was sitting and thinking about changing his clothes after resting a bit, three vehicles arrived, and a military man got out. He was wearing more prestigious military attire, with brown hair and a brown beard and thick mustache. He even had medals, and there was a strange silver bracelet on his wrist.
"You are Kuro, correct?" the Colonel asked.
"Yeah, that's me," Kuro replied while sitting on the ground, staring at him with an indifferent expression.
"I am Colonel Leo. I heard what happened here. Did you handle the situation?"
"Yes, I handled it completely. Don't tell me there's a problem with that."
"I got permission from that person in the white robe," Kuro pointed to Abraham, who was with Leo.
"How about we discuss the matter elsewhere? A place more suitable for us to talk alone."
"Ugh, can't I just go home?" Kuro complained.
"Excuse me?" Leo asked, raising his eyebrow.
"Listen, I don't know what kind of person you are, but from your clothes, I know you're not an ordinary person. And seeing your soldiers around you guarding you, with medals, means you're probably high-ranking. Dealing with someone like you only means bigger problems than I can handle."
"And I've had enough problems dealing with today. I mean, look at me. I look like a survivor of a Gate crisis."
"Hmm, interesting," Leo whispered, stroking his beard. "It will be quick. Get in the vehicle."
"(Sigh) Fine..." Kuro spoke with a tired expression on his face.
.....
"Wait, what happened next? He took me in the car.... to.... a secret place...."
"He said it was a place designated by the Hunter organization for secret reasons. It was called...."
"What was it again? It was.....
.....
We were in the car. I wasn't complaining about the fact that it was too slow for me. I could have told him I didn't need a car, but that would be rude, as he was a veteran Colonel. Kuro didn't know who he was but didn't want to mess with him.
While Kuro was thinking, they drove the car towards a dead end. Kuro wondered, and then something happened. A secret tunnel leading downwards appeared. They went into a secret passage, the passage closed behind them, and it returned to what it was as if nothing happened.
When they went down, the cars moved faster than usual, and strange neon lights appeared in the passage they were speeding through. After a short while, the tunnel ended, and the scenery changed.
Kuro saw a place that looked like a vast white area filled with cars and workers. He even saw the suits that Kuro had defeated. Kuro wondered about all this.
"What is this place?"
"The Dog Pit."
"???"
"It's one of the secret branches belonging to the Organization, specializing in dealing with mysterious technical things or cases that Aegis cannot handle."
"I see. How secret is this place anyway?" Kuro asked, pretending nonchalance.
"Top secret level," Leo replied.
"So why did you bring me, to a top-secret place?"
"You know I'm just a hunter, right?" Kuro asked.
"Yes, we are going to discuss a small matter," Leo answered.
"What kind of small matter would warrant bringing a random hunter to such an important place?" Kuro asked.
"You will know soon, very soon."
....
"Yeah, his words were a bit suspicious there."
"And then he gave me new clothes and took me to a different interrogation room."
.....
Kuro was in a different interrogation room. There was the same interrogation device placed on the same table. He was wearing ordinary worker clothes; one might mistake him for working here.
"Before we start, let's cut to the chase. Just tell me why I'm here?" Kuro spoke in a tired tone.
"It's because of your achievements."
"My achievements?" Kuro repeated his words.
"You cleared five Gates. You prevented a terrible disaster from happening. Your efforts have caught the Organization's attention," Leo spoke.
"Be serious, that's not can be the reason. Just get to the point. It's about those, right?" Kuro asked, pointing to the suits.
"Well, if you want it that way."
"These suits appeared suddenly three years ago and caused a major crisis in the global hunter community. Some use them for personal gain, and some use them for crime, especially in killing hunters," Leo spoke in a serious tone.
"Yeah, I witnessed that."kuro speak in a little amger
"But we discovered that these suits were taken from Project Perseus."
"Perseus? Seriously? Does America have a thing for Greece or what? First Aegis and now this. What's next, Zeus? Hercules? Um, Hades? Oh hey...wait we actually already changed the city's name to New Hades, damn it," Kuro spoke in surprise after realizing this.
"Yes, that was... because one of the political leaders really loves traveling to Rome a lot."
"Well, that explains a lot of things," Kuro spoke.
"So, what's the story of this Project Perseus?"
"It was a project aimed at designing a suit powered by magical energy, allowing an ordinary man to become a hunter," Leo spoke, reminiscing about the past.
"It started with someone's idea and was built by someone, and the first person to pilot those suits was called the Metal Knight at the time."
"Who?" Kuro asked.
Leo looked at the device and noticed it hadn't changed color. Leo was shocked by this.
"You don't know him?" Leo asked.
"No, honestly," Kuro replied.
"Haven't you heard the news or even stories about him?"
"Hmm..... no? This is the first time I'm hearing about him."
"Oh, that's somewhat surprising," Leo spoke frankly.
"Yeah, so who is he supposed to be? A person wearing a huge robot suit?"
"Yes, pretty much, yes."
"So what happened to him?" Kuro asked.
"At first, everything was ideal. During the Gate crisis, he became a beacon of hope in the world. Five other suits were built, piloted by other people, and they called themselves the Metal Team."
"Like Power Rangers," Kuro mocked.
"But after one of the users of those suits deviated into committing crimes, leading to a major scandal, we decided to shut down the project after that."
"Just because of one scandal, you closed a project that cost almost a whole fortune?" Kuro asked.
"That's one of the reasons. But after some time passed, and hunters emerged during those periods, the importance of those suits became negligible, and their cost was enormous, so they shut down the program."
"But now they suddenly appeared. The Organization's fear was that one of the engineers was responsible for this, or that information about the project had been leaked."
"Wouldn't it be better to investigate those five?" Kuro asked.
"No, we confirmed that all of them died under mysterious circumstances."
"That's interesting."
"It would have been a bad situation, but thanks to you, we managed to obtain three suits in two days. How can we thank you?"
"I don't want anything," Kuro replied coldly.
"What?" Leo tilted his eyebrow and stared at him.
"Just say you did this. Don't mention that I had anything to do with everything that happened today. In fact, I don't even remember being here."
"You don't aspire for fame?" Leo asked while looking at the device, not noticing that Kuro hadn't lied.
"Fame?" Kuro asked, looking at him.
"Do you mean that fame that almost got me killed? That's the fame you're talking about?"
"No thank you. I prefer to keep my life," Kuro spoke.
"My apologies, wrong question," Leo spoke.
"Just don't tell anyone I was involved."
"Did you really don't want anything"
" As I said before I don't.... wait.... a minute. my ?"
"What"Leo asked
"My credit card, was destroyed in battle, can you give me back my credit in some how?"
"Oh,yes of course, that less we can do for you"
"Thank you,you safed me, Olson may kicked me out,if I don't have money"
"You....you really different"Leo whispered in himself
