The Kent Family Zoo
To prevent his "cousin" from causing trouble, Clark decided to stay at the farm. But when he returned from work, this is the scene that greeted him:
A ten-meter tall iceberg now stood on the backyard lawn. Several penguins, having flown in from who knew where, huddled beneath the ice, shivering.
An artificial lake had appeared next to the iceberg. Three alligators were blowing bubbles in the water, and a ten-meter long Green Anaconda was draped over a nearby tree.
There were also a Silverback Gorilla, ostriches, a cheetah, a Siberian tiger, an African lion, a hippo, an elephant, an antelope, and a group of Golden Snub-Nosed Monkeys.
Animals from different continents were fenced together, yet instead of attacking each other, they lived together in bizarre harmony.
Clark ran his hand through his hair, completely bewildered.
Seeing her son return, Martha rushed over and embraced him, her expression terrified. She had been utterly frightened by these wild beasts.
"It's okay, Mom, it's okay. I'll handle it."
Clark softly comforted his mother, his eyes burning with unconcealed anger as he looked at his "cousin" by the pool.
"Kara, what exactly are you trying to do?"
"I'm keeping pets!"
Linda took off her sunglasses and said carelessly, "Don't Earthlings like to keep pets? I wanted to try, but it's not fun at all. They're too dumb; they don't even understand basic hand signals."
Clark fought his mounting fury and reasoned with her,
"These are untamable wild animals, not pets. If you want a pet, I can buy you a cat or a dog. But you absolutely cannot keep these; they're too dangerous."
"Dangerous?"
Linda smiled strangely. She casually tossed her glass. Bolstered by her terrifying strength, the glass became something more dangerous than a cannonball.
BAM! The water glass shattered.
The three-thousand-pound crocodile was lifted into the air, slid over ten meters on the lake's surface, and then crashed onto the bank, its condition unknown.
Seeing this, the Green Anaconda quietly coiled itself up. The lion and tiger buried their heads in the grass. The golden monkeys huddled together, and the cheetah, known as the fastest animal on the ground, squeezed out a fawning, cat-like smile.
Clark understood: the truly dangerous one wasn't the wild beasts; it was his "cousin" standing right there. She was the most dangerous species.
He couldn't let his house become a zoo. Ignoring his "cousin's" protests, Clark sent all the animals back to where they belonged.
By the time he finished all this, it was already night.
The family shared a hearty dinner and went to their rooms to rest.
The Final Straw
At eleven o'clock that night, just as Clark finished a long phone call with his girlfriend and was about to go to sleep, his door was kicked open. Linda walked in and tossed a semiconscious white woman onto his bed.
The dim light illuminated the woman's naked body; her full breasts and slender waist were clearly visible.
Clark froze for a second, then frantically pulled the bedsheet over the woman's body.
"What in the world are you doing now?"
Linda shrugged and said matter-of-factly, "I'm bringing you a woman. There are only two Kryptonians left, and you're the only male. Whether for family continuity or the survival of our civilization, you need to shoulder the responsibility of procreating."
"I carefully selected this woman. She's beautiful, has a great figure, no family history of diseases, and is a high-achieving graduate from Harvard, currently working as a senior lawyer at a firm. She's very suitable to be your mating partner."
Clark gripped his hair, on the verge of a breakdown.
Suddenly, the woman under the sheet stirred, showing signs of waking up. Without a word, Clark struck quickly, knocking her unconscious again.
If she woke up now and saw his face, he would never be able to clear his name.
Linda looked him up and down, nodded thoughtfully, seemingly understanding something, and turned to leave. She returned shortly, carrying a young woman with dark, shiny skin.
"So you don't like white women. No worries, I have black women here too. Try her out. If she's not suitable, I have plenty of others."
Clark: "..."
What did I do to deserve this, God?
The nightmare had just begun. Over the next few days, Clark experienced a life devoid of light.
The first day, his yard became a zoo. The second day, it was an aquarium in the morning and a museum in the afternoon. On the third day, an Egyptian pyramid appeared in the morning, which was then replaced by a missile launch base by evening.
Every night when he returned to his bedroom, Clark would nervously lift the bedsheet to quickly deliver the latest naked woman—whose name he never learned—back to where she belonged.
Over time, he felt his mental state deteriorating. The worst came one time when, for reasons unknown, his girlfriend arrived unexpectedly and caught him in the act.
He tried desperately to explain, but Lois wouldn't listen. She slapped him and left without looking back.
Linda scoffed nearby, "Is that your girlfriend? Honestly, she's not great. Her butt is too small; not suitable for bearing children."
Clark looked up, and an angry red glow filled his eyes.
Linda smirked, meeting his gaze without flinching.
Their eyes clashed mid-air. The air pressure rapidly intensified, signaling an imminent confrontation.
After a few seconds of confrontation, Clark predictably backed down, leaving dejectedly under his "cousin's" scornful gaze.
Returning to his bedroom, he lifted the cover to find a female gorilla wearing a pair of sexy black fishnet stockings waving at him.
"A-A-A-A-H-H-H!"
Clark roared, his inner cosmos igniting. His shout shot toward the sky.
Like an angry bull, he flew recklessly toward the city, his body streaking across the sky like light, leaving a long vapor trail behind him.
"Kara, I won't tolerate this anymore!"
"I'm going to kill you!"
He gnashed his teeth with rage, his fury a volcanic eruption. But when he reached his destination, he encountered a rare blizzard.
Lois Lane was having dinner with Linda Danvers. Seeing the angry man burst in, Lois didn't say a word, just gave him a cold look. Just that one look was enough to deflate Clark. Like a balloon pricked by a steel needle, he sat down, utterly powerless.
Lois realized the tension between the cousins was too high. After dinner, she proactively left to give them space.
Clark could no longer endure this life. If this continued, his girlfriend would leave, and his mother would break down.
"Kara, what do you want?"
Linda pouted. "You know perfectly well!"
Clark took a long breath and said with a grim expression,
"I can give you the key to the Fortress of Solitude, but you must promise me that you won't use the technology there to harm Earth."
"My business is none of yours. And let me remind you of one thing: the Fortress of Solitude is the scientific achievement built by generations of the House of El. It is family communal property, not your private possession. Understand?"
Clark was speechless, unable to argue.
"Where is the key?"
Clark was silent for a few seconds, then took a small white crystal pendant from his pocket.
Linda snatched the pendant and left without looking back.
A short while later, the door opened, and Lois walked in, curious.
"Is she really your cousin?"
Clark nodded with a wry smile.
Lois said suspiciously, "I chatted with her for half an hour. She seemed a little arrogant, but generally calm. She doesn't seem like the type of street delinquent who would use such low-down tricks. Is there something else going on?"
Clark frowned.
"Are you saying someone is helping her behind the scenes?"
