Chapter 24 - Chapter 24: German Reich

James nodded in satisfaction as a bloody cleanse swept through the ranks of Armin II's kingdom. Hundreds, almost thousands were taken; from their homes, from their workplaces, from hidden safehouses, and from the roads that they tried to use to escape when news of the cleanse finally got out.

Most were killed, and those who remained were imprisoned.

'A swift action for a militarised state. Well done…' James almost felt like applauding at how well the cleanse was carried out.

For the survival of a kingdom, nation, or any independent state, unity was vital, and those who tried to rot the system from the inside were worse than adversaries. Of course, for James, it did not matter how well or how badly a single kingdom did, as long as the race as a whole developed. But personally, he felt the Armin II's kingdom had handled this situation really well.

Without causing much collateral damage to innocents, it had systematically rooted out corruption, traitors, and those seeking to be either of the two, or helping in their cause. This plan could have taken years to plan, and then too took almost a whole year to fully execute before James was ready to accept the trait of Mana for his kingdom.

In a rather happy mood, James waved his hand and sent a message to Armin II.

==========

Your kingdom has been bestowed a new name: The German Reich.

He did not watch the elation of Armin II, or his grandfather, nor did he watch the German Reich assimilate the trait of Mana.

Instead, he turned his attention away from Neues Reich; his planet, towards the Private Chat he had with Night Sky. The time to return the remaining 17,000 Collective Energy had arrived.

James had had to take up a lot from the foundations of the various kingdoms, directly taking from the banks to complete this transaction, because he was not gaining enough Collective Energy fast enough to complete this deal.

After all, his world had become rather peaceful after Armin I, had died.

Still, by taking a bit from each bank, and reducing the birth rates of the entire race by about 5%, he had got enough energy, and within a generation at most this figure would be quickly filled up, so it was fine for him.

He sent the Collective Energy that needed to be sent, then turned to the new message he had received, and began typing.

Private Communication

Recipient: Supreme_Magus

Supreme_Magus: So, which year did you die in? I came from 2025.

James Wehrmacht: 2015

Supreme_Magus: Oh wow! That's great! You lives the best of years alive. Skipped the COVID-19 update!

James Wehrmacht: So, why am I being messaged?

Supreme_Magus: Well, you see, I need Collective Energy. Not too much, but around 5000 Collective Energy.

James Wehrmacht: Go on…

Supreme_Magus: Oh! You actually have that much! Great! I can give you a lot of stuff. I have technologies my race has created. It's not a lot, but it is somewhere around the ww1 era technologies in terms of warfare. Oh, but my other technologies; civilian, chemical, and industrial technologies are already at the ww2 era! Haha, just a bit more and I get to go nuclear… hopefully. I mean it's not easy getting the relevant industries set up in a world trying to constantly kill you. But Once I do… haha, I will bomb the world into nuclear oblivion so that blasted World God can finally die!

James Wehrmacht: I'll take the technologies.

==========

James has originally thought to give out the real year he had died, but realising how far in the future this Supreme was, he decided it was best to give a much closer date.

He gave the same small advanced payment for the information about the technology, allowing him to ensure it was real, before handing over the rest of the Collective Energy, and the latter agreed.

'Nuclear… Bomb… It sounded like his trump card. It must be a higher form of bomb. I'll have one of the other kingdoms, who do not have access to Mana yet, follow the path of technology using this information. With an overwhelmingly powerful German Reich with Mana, these surrounding kingdoms will be pushed to develop technology rapidly if they want to survive.'

'And with technology on the rise, it will prevent the German Reich from stagnating and becoming a stain on its name,' James nodded at the solution he had come up with, before turning his attention back to his world.

He sent information for this technologies to all the kingdoms, excluding the tribes. He did not like the fact that a potentially powerful kingdom broke apart so early on into the tribes that were much weaker. So instead he just ensured they all had the information regarding how to get Mana and become Magi, and no other advantage.

And then he simply waited. For time to pass once again.
