Outside the virtual training room, Beast couldn't hide his astonishment. He quickly called Professor X over, accompanied by Phoenix Woman.
The three of them watched the monitor, eyes widening as they examined the status displays.
Speed, strength, physique—all numbers far beyond any normal human scale.
Is this even human?
"No," Phoenix Girl Grey muttered, tilting her head. "Professor… is Xu Dan a mutant? I feel like…"
Professor X frowned. He was certain Xu Dan was not a mutant. Yet the power he displayed was utterly beyond ordinary human limits.
"No, Xu Dan is definitely not a mutant. I can assure you of that," the professor said cautiously, carefully maintaining the distinction between mutant and human.
But then, if he wasn't a mutant… what was he?
"Do you think he can beat the saber-toothed tiger?" Beast asked, tugging at his chin. From the status display, it was clear that the virtual saber-toothed tiger had been chosen as Xu Dan's opponent. A beast of reckless power, a formidable opponent even for the trained X-Men.
Phoenix Grey analyzed, "Unlikely. His test data is incredible, yes, but that's human-level incredible. I don't think he can win—at best, it would be a draw."
Beast nodded, finding her reasoning sound. "Charles, what do you think?"
Professor X smiled faintly. "You all assume he can't win. Of course, I want to see him succeed."
"What? Why?" Beast's brow furrowed in confusion.
Even with all their data, even considering ten thousand variables, the probability of a human defeating a saber-toothed tiger was infinitesimal.
Professor X maneuvered his wheelchair slightly back, his gaze sweeping over Beast and Jean. Calmly, he said: "Human potential is infinite."
Normally, such a statement might sound trite, almost cliché.
But coming from Professor X, it carried undeniable weight.
Xu Dan has incredible potential.
Indeed, roughly thirty percent of the world already recognized Xu Dan's economic and business potential. But now, this was about combat.

"No, Professor, I still don't think Xu Dan can defeat the saber-toothed tiger," Beast said.
"Nor do I…" Phoenix Woman's voice echoed.
Yet their skepticism vanished instantly. On the monitor, Xu Dan's body was torn apart by the saber-toothed tiger!
He… died?
Impossible. The virtual training room couldn't kill a person.
It was a projection—a mirror image.
And then, like a ghost, Xu Dan appeared atop the saber-toothed tiger's back.
Before Phoenix Grey could even see the movement of his hand, a blade pierced the tiger's chest.
It wasn't enough to kill… yet.
"Ugh!" Phoenix Grey trembled. Shock rippled through her.
Xu Dan's abilities were beyond comprehension. And then—sword light.
The monitor was ablaze with it. If anyone had been inside the virtual training room with him, they would never forget the scene.
A storm of twelve sword energies erupted, streaking through the air in six directions, tearing the saber-toothed tiger apart.
Its body disintegrated on contact, as if fire had met ice—obliterated completely, leaving no trace.
What arrogant, overwhelming power is this?
Xu Dan had not just defeated the saber-toothed tiger—he had annihilated it.
The Phoenix Woman and Beast exchanged horrified glances, their faces burning with a mix of awe and disbelief.
In just over a minute, Xu Dan had completely neutralized the beast in the simulation.
Even Phoenix Woman, with telepathic abilities rivaling Professor X, sensed the intense energy fluctuations. They dwarfed even the famed Laser Eye mutants of the X-Men.
Now, in the human world, a game developer had reached such a level of power.
Even Professor X, who had expected victory, now reconsidered this 'future apprentice.' Xu Dan could win, yes—but so quickly, so decisively?
The saber-toothed tiger's strength was immense. How could a mortal—or even a special human—achieve this?
This is defying nature!
Professor X felt a sudden urge to summon Riva to the academy, to question what she might have been hiding.
Her "daughter" hadn't even married yet—and already her protégés were producing miracles.
"Jean, Hank, it seems I was right. You've lost," Professor X said calmly.
Phoenix Grey and Beast looked embarrassed. This virtual training room had been tailored for mutants, yet Xu Dan had not only conquered it, he had done so effortlessly.
Beast's smile was tinged with bitterness as he watched Xu Dan step from the training room.
"Dan, you never told me you had this much hidden strength… That's just not fair," he muttered.
