Chapter 1 - : The Will of the Sword

‎The Will of the Sword is to kill, cut off, destroy, slay, eliminate, and break down. That is the will of the Sword, that is what the Sword wants. I am cursed as long as the Sword is with me; as long as it is with me, I shall carry out its will. BLACK SWORD ARTS ACADEMY "To perfect the art of the Sword, we need to know the will of the Sword," Kai said, striking his sword against the ground. "The Will of the Sword is to cut off, kill, destroy, eliminate. As long as we are swordsmen, we shall carry out the will of the Sword," Kai said. "Today, each and every one of you is going to carry out the will of the Sword." Matero stood up from his seat and walked up to Kai and cut off both of his legs. "Matero, my best student, what do you think you are doing?" Kai asked. "Isn't that what you taught us? As long as we are swordsmen, we shall carry out the will of the Sword. We shall cut off and eliminate. As long as we are swordsmen, we are cursed with the will of the Sword," Matero replied and cut off Kai's neck. "Kai, thank you for training these children into my little devils, but I guess your time is up," Enzo said with a smile on his face. "That's Enzo, the owner of Black Arts Academy," one of the students said. "Out of the little devils I have, Matero always proves to be the strongest of them." "I am just doing the will of the Sword," Matero replied. "I am going to send you, Matero, to represent our Academy at the Sword Art Academy of Swordsmen, the SAAS, to prove your worth." "The SAAS? That's where most of the top students are," another student said. "You shall leave immediately." "Yes, sir." A meeting is held at SAAS, The Sword Arts Academy of Swordsmen. "Santiago, I get it that you are the owner of this Academy, but why did you approve of a student from the Black Sword Arts Academy to visit here? Those people are demons. They might kill one of our students," asked Asher, a staff member of the school. "I did it so that the demon will learn something from our school." Matero rode on his horse heading to the SAAS. He stopped at the gate of the Academy as the gatekeeper questioned him. "Show me your ID card to show that you are the student coming from the Black Sword Arts Academy (BSAA)." "Here," Matero gives him the card stained with blood. "Come in, come in," he opens the gate for Matero's horse to pass. "You are lucky that I have done my daily kill," he said, taking back his card and moving forward. "This place looks like a place for babies. Where are the blocks stained with blood, and why are they cultivating flowers around here?" Matero thought within himself and walked to the field where two swordsmen were training, and one of the swordsmen pointed the sword at the other and left. Matero then approached him. "Hey, why didn't you kill him when you had the chance? Don't you have the will of the Sword? Are you not a swordsman?" he asked. "Yes, I am a swordsman, and I do have the will of the Sword," the swordsman replied. "So what's your will of the Sword?" Matero asked. "My will of the Sword is to eliminate evil, and that's also everyone else's will at the Academy," the swordsman replied. "So that's your will of the Sword?" "Yeah, what's yours?" "I guess you are still a child to know," Matero replied. "Come on, tell me. I really want to know." "You really are still a child." "By the way, I am Sting." "What a weird name." "Yeah, I have heard a lot of people say that, but it doesn't really bother me. After all, my parents gave it to me." "I am Matero." "Your name is even weirder than mine," Sting said. "Don't talk anymore, or I will kill you." "No, you won't." "Yes, I will." "No, you won't." "Yes, I will." "Actually, I don't feel like killing him. It's as if my body has gotten a likeness for him. Is this what they call a friend?" Matero thought within himself. "Come on, or else we will be late for class," Sting said. "You can go ahead; I am coming," Matero replied, and Sting ran off to class. "Can there really be a will of the Sword that only involves eliminating evil? No, I doubt there is. He's probably just saying some kid stuff because in a life and death situation, you must do what you can in order to survive, even if it involves cutting off your loved ones," Matero said within himself.
