Later that same day, at 2:30PM, Yuji, Kazuma and Mio were all sitted infront of Ranpo in the training grounds. Ranpo asked "Okay, kids. Which one of you are going into the training camp?", Kazuma, Yuji and Mio said together "I'm am.". Ranpo blinked in confusion "Huh? Really? You all are going?", he asked. Kazuma seemed a bit smug, he responded to his teacher "Yep, we are. We are strong after all, so it only made sense if they actually gave us a pass.", Yuji looked at Kazuma while raising a brow "You're unexpectedly smirky about this, didn't you say you didn't know how to feel about it the other day?", Kazuma just smirked "Yeah, I did. But I just realised nothing crazy would happen as long as you just behave yourself.", Mio muttered "Now I'm starting to get worried for him", Ranpo muttered in response "Same here.". Ranpo took a sigh "Well, I wasn't really expecting any of you would make it to the training camp, except one of you.", this sentence from Ranpo made the kids slightly excited. Mio asked as her eyes glimmered "Oh? Who is it? Let's know! Let's know!", Kazuma also seemed a bit excited "Yeah, Ranpo sensei. Who did you expect from the three of us to be the one's to go?", Yuji seemed a little disinterested "Um, don't you guys think you're a little too excited?". Ranpo thought to himself "There's no use in hiding your excitement, Yuji.", he cleared his throat "In all honesty, I was expecting Mio to be the one to go. Ordinarily thinking of any of you two boys going would be a problem.", Kazuma and Yuji froze like stone while Mio had an excited smile on her face after hearing Ranpo's opinion. Kazuma yelled "WHAT DO YOU MEAN HAVING YUJI AND I GOING THERE WOULD BE A PROBLEM?!", Yuji yelled as well "YEAH, SERIOUSLY! WHY? I MEAN I UNDERSTAND WHY YOU'D BE WORRIED ABOUT KAZUMA! BUT ME?! IM THE COMPLETE OPPOSITE OF HIM!", Mio at the background was just smiling while hugging her chest "See? Teacher Ranpo had high hopes for me.". Ranpo took a sigh "You want an explanation? Fine.", he pointed at Kazuma "You, Kazuma. You casually pray for an excuse to cause problems. You're fund of pulling off stunts either when their necessary or not. To top it all of, you're too adventurous with your abilities.", Kazuma's jaw dropped "HAAAA?!". Ranpo pointed to Yuji "YUJI! You're too violent!", Yuji exclaimed "HUH?!", Ranpo responded as he exclaimed "DONT 'HUH?!' ME! YOU'RE TOO ON YOUR EDGE. AND WHEN SOMEONE PISSES YOU OFF EVEN IN THE SLIGHTEST, YOU'RE ALWAYS AGGITATED TO HARM THE PERSON!". Yuji yelled back "NO! NO! I DO NOT! I DONT DO THAT!", Mio joined in the conversation with a look of disinterest as her hands were folded while looking at Yuji from the background "Yes you do. Before we all become friends, it was almost hard to approach you.", Yuji turned to her and yelled "YEAH, THAT WAS A FEW MONTHS AGO. IM NOT AS VIOLENT AS I USED TOO!". Ranpo almost laughed "Not as violent as you used too? Please! You haven't changed one bit, you're still downright cold. You're only pretending!", Yuji yelled "BULLSHIT!". Ranpo took a deep breath in and out "Whatever, I think we've had enough of our banter.", Kazuma muttered "I'm still pissed that you didn't choose me you know? But I'll let it slide.". Ranpo explained "Enough time has passed since your previous mission. I don't know how horrific your mission in the city of pillars was, but I can tell it wasn't pleasant....", Ranpo looked at his students with seriousness "But if im being serious, I'm glad you all survived. Really. On missions like that, usually one of two people out a team of three would have died, but you all survived. I'm not going to ask you about any details on how the mission went, but all I can say is that I'm happy you three are safe.". Yuji sighed and started scratching his head "Well, I don't want to think of that mission either, so I'll pretend it never happened.", Mio seemed saddened "Yeah, me too.". Kazuma was silent the entire time until he blinked "Ranpo sensei, do you think we can still train as a team even during the training camp?", Kazuma asked. Ranpo replied "Sure, but due to the training you'll have there, I doubt we'd do any sparring matches.". Ranpo stood up "Well, whatever. I only called you all here to talk and have fun with you kids, a teacher must learn to build a good relationship with his students, and the students must do the same.". Kazuma, Mio and Yuji smiled "Yeah, and we have no intentions to toss that ideal on the mudd.", Kazuma said with a confident tone In his voice. Meanwhile, Reggie, Kito and Baroka were all gathered in Reggie's living room "So, only Kito got a pass, huh? Well that's a bummer.", Reggie said to his student with an interested tone and smirk as his head rested on his palm. Rem replied "Well, it's not that big of a deal. And plus, not going gives me time to stay and train with the weapon you gave me.", Baroka added with confidence "Same here, I'm a bit down i didn't go, but it's all good. As long as i get to train with [JUSTICE DWELLER], im fine.". Reggie smiled at them "Happy to hear that.", Kito on the other hand complained lazily "But why did I have to be the one to go?", Reggie called to his attention "Kito, I don't think it would be appropriate to say that.". Kito looked at his teacher and asked "Hm? Why?", Reggie explained "You're the kid who didn't have talents like most kids, you worked harder than other kids to get this strong. And now, your efforts are finally showing.", Kito's eyes slowly started to light up. Reggie explained with a smirk and a head tilt "Congrats kid, you've taken another big step in achieving your dream.", Kito was speechless for a moment before smirking "Yeah, I have. I'll keep working harder, trust me.". Rem teased Kito with a smirk and a soft push on his elbow "Oh? Look who's happy to get a compliment. He's all smirky like a kid who just got the toy he wanted, I can't wait to tell Yuki about this.", Baroka smiled nervously "Ahh.", Kito's face turned straight and uninterested due to Rem's teasing "Tch! Here she goes again. She's like a damn elder sister.", Reggie watched his student infront of him with a smile "Kito, Baroka, Rem. You three are the best students I could have asked for.".
