Hearing Kyle's words, Snape curled his lip.
This little Demon King was probably not simply looking to share Dumbledore's burdens.
If the portion of Kyle's real thoughts that was about sharing Dumbledore's burdens exceeded even five percent, Snape would dare to give himself a Levicorpus on the spot and parade upside down around Hogwarts Castle for three whole laps.
It was true that Dumbledore had been extremely busy lately.
The news of Grindelwald breaking out of Nurmengard Tower, making a resurgence, and even raiding the French Ministry of Magic had occupied an entire full page of today's Daily Prophet.
Under these circumstances, the people of the magical world instantly remembered the old man who had defeated Grindelwald in that world-shaking duel back in 1945—
Albus Dumbledore.
Thus, ever since the incident at the French Ministry of Magic occurred, owls flying toward Dumbledore's office had arrived one after another, uninterrupted except during rest hours.
Had it not been for this little Demon King's existence, Dumbledore might truly have come out of retirement to deal with his old flame, Grindelwald.
However, now that the crystallization of their love was standing right here, did the people of the magical world still expect the two of them to lock horns again?
It was already good enough that Dumbledore wasn't standing beside Grindelwald holding up skulls.
Therefore, Dumbledore couldn't really be called that busy anyway; when facing those letters begging him to come out of retirement to oppose Grindelwald, perfunctorily brushing them off was all it took.
The public of the magical world should thank heaven and earth as long as he maintained a neutral stance.
Besides, the matter of Voldemort's Horcruxes held a priority in Dumbledore's heart that definitely surpassed everything else.
If he were to tell Dumbledore about this matter, Dumbledore would absolutely set aside his other affairs to deal with Voldemort's Horcrux.
And for this fellow Kyle to say not to tell Dumbledore for now, there was only one possibility—
A standard Gringotts operation.
Narrowing his eyes slightly, Snape gave the little Demon King a deep look.
"Gringotts' security measures are exceptionally thorough. If you wish to reach the Lestrange vault, you must first pass through the Thief's Downfall, followed by..."
Hearing Snape's words, a subtle curve hooked the corner of Kyle's mouth; this fellow had definitely harbored thoughts about Gringotts as well.
Who would have thought that the old bat, who usually looked so thick-eyebrowed and big-eyed, was actually this type of person behind closed doors?
He interrupted Snape directly, "A dragon and a sphinx, followed by a magically locked vault door, and finally the Gemino and Flagrante Curses cast upon those treasures."
The corner of Snape's eye twitched slightly, his forehead covered in dark lines.
To remember the defensive forces along the way in such meticulous detail—to say this fellow had no designs on Gringotts, he would never believe it.
Kyle rummaged through his ninja tool pouch, pulling out an ancient piece of parchment from who-knows-what corner, and unfolded it on the table before the two of them with a flourish.
Snape glanced at the contents on the parchment, and not just the corner of his eye, but even the corner of his mouth began to twitch.
Laid out right in front of his eyes was none other than a topographic map of Gringotts' underground vaults.
Moreover, judging by the aged condition of the parchment, it had been stored for at least three years or more.
Which meant that this little Demon King of the Dumbledore family had already been eyeing the treasures in Gringotts three years ago.
Over three years ago?
Could it be that time when Dumbledore had just brought Kyle back to Hogwarts, and then took him to Diagon Alley to withdraw money and buy a wand?
Good grief!
Snape could only say: as expected of Grindelwald's seed.
"Since you have prepared so thoroughly, I need not say any more."
Snape's gaze swept over the parchment on the table once more. "Do you need my help?"
"No need, Professor. I can handle it myself," Kyle waved his hands hurriedly.
Are you joking? This was his scheduled weekend team-building activity for the Father-Troublers Alliance; what business did an outsider like the old bat have joining the fun?
"You had better focus your mind on clues for the next Horcrux instead. Ghost knows how many Horcruxes that noseless freak actually made."
N-noseless freak?
This time, even Snape's facial muscles twitched.
What kind of ghost name was that again?
Though... noseless freak... Snape recalled Voldemort's appearance.
He had to admit, it really was an extraordinarily fitting name.
Snape cleared his throat lightly. "If there is nothing else, then leave."
With that, he waved his hand to undo the magical lock on the Potions classroom door, gesturing for Kyle to swiftly disappear from his sight.
Hogwarts First-Floor Great Hall.
As lunchtime approached, students finishing their morning classes gradually gathered from all parts of the castle toward the hall.
Stepping into the Great Hall, Kyle grabbed Cedric—who was slipping past him and trots off happily toward the Ravenclaw table—dragging him over to the Gryffindor table to sit opposite the twin brothers.
Glancing at the surroundings, the Little Beaver had not arrived at the Great Hall yet.
No impostors, safe, plan proceeds as scheduled.
"There is an extremely important matter to attend to this weekend; put aside whatever you have on your hands for now."
Kyle's tone was exceptionally grave; the last time they had seen Kyle wear this expression was traced back to last year's Hydra Crisis.
George waved his hand, and invisible magic power enveloped the area where the few of them sat, isolating their conversation from leaking out.
"What is it?" Cedric was very curious.
A mischievous grin curled up the corner of Kyle's mouth. "You guys will love it—robbing Gringotts. How about that, explosive enough?"
"G-Gringotts?!"
Luckily the barrier was present, or else with that shout from George, the whole Great Hall would probably have known.
"One of Voldemort's Horcruxes is hidden inside Gringotts—specifically, in the Lestrange family vault."
Kyle turned his gaze toward Cedric. "But I don't know its exact appearance. With so many things inside the vault, I'll have to trouble you to find it."
Since it involved Voldemort's Horcrux, not a single person present didn't want Voldemort dead, so Cedric naturally nodded.
"If our actions are fast enough..." Kyle weighed his words, "after finding the Horcrux, in the window of time before the guards arrive... we can act freely."
Hearing Kyle's words, the look of greed in George's and Fred's eyes almost solidified into tangible light beaming out.
"Let's do it!"
"Ollie-give!" [Translator's Note: "Ollie-give" (奥利给) is Chinese internet slang meaning "Let's go!" / "Do it!"]
Cedric's expression wasn't as excited as the twin brothers'.
He keenly raised a question: "Gringotts can be said to be the most heavily guarded place in the British magical world aside from Hogwarts and the Ministry of Magic. How are we going to sneak in?"
Trying to bypass those goblins to sneak into Gringotts stealthily was impossible.
The only feasible method was to use the pretext of retrieving money from a vault, strike the guiding goblin halfway, and then execute the action.
However, if one wanted to go to the vault to withdraw money, one had to present the vault key; Gringotts' security system recognized keys, not faces.
Meaning, there was no way to rely on face-scanning.
Otherwise, with the level of Human Transfiguration the four of them possessed, casually transforming into Lucius Malfoy would let them blend right in, and the blame for Gringotts being raided could be pinned onto Lucius's head.
Regrettably, such a method wouldn't work.
