Doflamingo's eyes fluttered open. He blinked. He was alive? Really?
Relief flooded his body.
Trebol groaned beside him, slowly coming to. He rolled over and saw his young master.
He froze.
"Young Master… your head… it's glowing!"
Doflamingo frowned. "Huh?"
He reached up instinctively. His fingers brushed smooth skin.
His eyes widened. "Wait—what!?"
He leapt up, frantically rubbing his head.
"Where's my hair!?"
From the hold, Kavi emerged, grinning. "Ah, you're awake! Finally. I was wondering why a kid like you was dyeing his hair so early. So, I shaved it off for you. You're welcome."
Doflamingo's fists clenched. His face turned purple with rage.
That yellow hair was natural! A signature look!
But he didn't dare speak out. Not after what happened earlier.
He forced a smile, twitching at the corners.
"Th-Thank you, Senior…"
Kavi chuckled and patted his shoulder.
"Good kid. Now, let's talk compensation. You nearly wrecked my ship. I'll take two Devil Fruits for your conscience."
"...Conscience," Doflamingo repeated, teeth grinding.
He had no choice. Weakness meant exploitation—he'd known that since childhood.
But being on the receiving end of it? It still burned.
Kavi nodded in satisfaction. "Actually, I bet you've got more than two. But I won't be greedy today. You'll see me again."
He left the implication hanging.
Doflamingo stiffened.
"B-But we don't have any on us," he said quickly. "I can go back and get them. I swear I'll bring them to you."
His expression was rigid. He was hoping to escape with a promise and a prayer.
