Gu Yan saw Bai Xia's expression and thought she was scared. From Gu Nan's point of view, Bai Xia's calm looked exactly like fear being suppressed. That misunderstanding inflated Gu Nan's ego instantly. Her spine straightened, her chin lifted, and the jealousy that had been boiling inside her heart for so long finally found a perfect excuse to explode.
"She hit me so hard my cheeks are now swollen and red, you must avenge me," Gu Nan cried dramatically, clutching Bai Yan's arm as if she were clinging to her final lifeline.
Her voice was loud, sharp, and intentionally exaggerated. The nearby guests who had just finished their drinks turned their heads one after another. Curiosity, gossip, and excitement mixed in their eyes — this was better than any show.
Bai Xia crossed her hands over her chest slowly. Her movements were unhurried, calm to the point it felt chilling. Her gaze swept over Gu Nan from head to toe, not with anger, not with jealousy — but with pure indifference.
"So I should break up with my boyfriend, but you get to keep such a vicious woman."
Her tone wasn't loud, but it cut straight through the noise like a blade.
Bai Yan's face flushed bright red with embarrassment. The tension around him was suffocating. More and more eyes gathered around them, whispers spreading like wildfire. Bai Xia clearly noticed that there were a lot of people staring at them, but she didn't care.
"Come, let's talk inside," Bai Xia said calmly.
To Gu Nan's ears, those words sounded like a confession — like retreat — like fear.
In her heart, Bai Xia clearly wanted to steal her man again.
"He should follow you so you can seduce him," Gu Nan sneered viciously.
As she spoke, she boldly reached out to grab Bai Yan's hand, wanting to publicly mark him as hers. But Bai Yan dodged without hesitation. Her fingers grabbed nothing but empty air, and she nearly stumbled forward from the force.

While all that commotion was going on, Stella had already paid for all the properties and gotten the documents. She moved efficiently, calmly, like a machine executing orders without hesitation.
Bai Xia took out the documents of the hotels and restaurants.
"I saw that you had some interest in this earlier, do you want it?"
Bai Yan's pupils shrank. Greed flashed uncontrollably in his eyes.
But he pretended to be calm.
"So what if I want it?"
"I can give you it."
"Then give it to me."
"On one condition."
One of Bai Yan's eyebrows lifted.
"What are they?"
"You'll break up with that thing outside as you can see she's not a good person."
Bai Yan fell silent.
Even if Bai Xia hadn't said anything, he was already planning to break up with Gu Nan. He couldn't tell Bai Xia that they were together because he had accidentally slept with her. That was a stain he didn't dare to expose.
When he looked at the documents in Bai Xia's hands — when he looked at her calm face — he suddenly realized this deal was never simple.

Bai Xia turned around.
Gu Yan was charging toward them with a stick in her hand.
Her eyes were filled with madness.
Her hair was disheveled.
Her face twisted with hatred.
Bai Xia could have easily dodged.
She could have moved aside in half a second.
But Bai Yan stood in front of her.
He caught the stick mid-air with force, pain flashing across his arm — but Gu Nan didn't stop. She slipped past him, completely abandoning reason and dignity, lunging straight at Bai Xia.
As she approached, Bai Xia's gaze turned cold.
She lifted her leg sharply.
A perfect, ruthless back flip.
Gu Nan crashed onto the ground with a heavy thud.
The impact was brutal.
Immediately she landed, she coughed up blood.
People screamed.
Someone dropped a glass.
The surroundings descended into chaos.
Bai Xia didn't even look at her.
She turned calmly to Bai Yan.
She knew it wasn't his fault.
But Gu Nan was still his girlfriend.
"Keep your girlfriend in check."
Her voice held pure authority.
With that being said, she and Stella stepped into the car and drove off.
Gu Nan lay on the ground shaking violently, blood staining the corner of her lips, her eyes filled with fear for the very first time in her life.
Inside the car, Bai Xia finally felt something warm sliding down her neck. She reached up and touched it with her fingers.
It stung.
She lowered her hand and saw blood.
Gu Nan had still managed to scratch her.
She ignored it completely.
Her eyes were calm, unreadable.
"Stella, drive to Fu Jian's company. I want to take a look."
The engine roared.
The car turned to a different direction.
Streetlights flashed past.
The city lights blurred.
The closer they got to the company, the heavier Bai Xia's gaze became.
Then suddenly —
Something entered her field of vision.
Her pupils tightened sharply.
"Stella stop the car, stop it...…"
