DING! [Livestream is on!]
DING! [Reminder! All unused Life Votes are reset to League 3's basic: 20 votes.]
[Countdown to death: 00:20:00]
Leinster's world stopped spinning around but the moment he heard the notice, his mind spun around and his world collapsed.
What?? His life votes— that many— disappeared?! Just like that??
Ahhhhh!! Kill you!!!
Leinster snapped his eyes open, the red tongue carpet was still wrapped around his body and he was instantly greeted by the gust of a cold wind, piercing his skin and prickling his bones.
"Brrrr."
The poor alien hurriedly pulled the red tongue closer, not minding what it truly was as he looked around the place he was in.
Surprisingly, this time, the place...was huge.
It was an old open-air parking lot with no vehicles in sight, only rows of yellow-light street lamps, shining on the entire parking lot all the way to a huge building hidden in the dark.
It was so dark outside of the yellow light that even with Leinster's sharp eyes, he couldn't see anything, only a thick white fog surrounding the building and the parking lot.
From this distance, Leinster could only see the peeled paints on the street lamps, revealing the rusty iron beneath.
The grey asphalt under his feet had cracks here and there, with some parts even missed a few chunks, almost creating a hole.
Some lamps at the edges flickered, as if it was about to die out in the next second.
Flick. Flick.
The moment the lamps flickered...suddenly, people started to appear out of thin air, as if dropped and spawned into a game.
Flash. Flash. Flash.
Men, women, old and young...there was even a toddler and a woman holding a baby in swaddling clothes!
The empty parking lot that could easily fit hundreds of vehicles was suddenly filled by half.
The people who suddenly appeared were stunned for a few seconds, all looking around with blank eyes while some of them had sharp eyes, definitely not your ordinary person.
The parking lot was silent with only the sound of cicadas in the background before someone, a young girl wearing a uniform, eventually burst into tears.
"A-ah! Ah! Ah! W-why am I inside a ruin?? T-there is no place similar to this ruin around my place!"
At the young girl's sudden outburst, the group of people easily counting to a hundred immediately burst into various responses.
"A ruin? We are inside a ruin?"
"Ah...it's true! M-my Life Insurance has been automatically converted into Life Votes!"
"My phone is gone!"
"T-the livestream is on...I can see the comment section..."
"Ah...hahahaha. It's over. What...why choose me? Why me??!!"
Some people collapsed to the ground sobbing, others roared in anger and disbelief, yanking their hair like a madman.
A thick amount of emotions quickly exploded from all directions, almost making a certain alien drunk with just the smell.
Ahhhh! So many emotions!
Leinster quickly sucked all the different emotions he could suck, filling up his Emotion Gauge equally, with the Wrath Gauge having a little more than the others.
[Wrath: 40]
[Fear: 30]
[Sorrow: 30]
Seeing that his overall Emo Gauge was full and he couldn't suck more even if he wanted to, Leinster almost burst into tears just like the people around him.
Ahhhh. His food! His darling!
Even worse, during such a happy occasion, the annoying system notification sounded.
DING! [Warning! Warning! You have absorbed too much Wrath Emo, OmO!]
[You will get a side effect and a penalty, OmO]
The [Wrath Store] sign flickered and all the skills listed on it turned grey with one big announcement plastered on the display.
[Random purchase only]
[30 Wrath Emo per purchase]
...what?
So now, he suddenly couldn't "buy" skills in the Wrath Store and whenever he bought something for 30 whole Emos, he could only get a random skill that might only be worth 10 emos??
Leinster seriously doubted whether the system was messing with him but knowing that the OmO system was just a visualization of how his ability worked, the alien could only swallow this grievance quietly.
Wiping the tears that slid down his cheeks, Leinster noticed the red tongue carpet wrapped around his body and was about to check it when the system notification suddenly chimed in eagerly.
DING! [Dear challenger, do you want to buy spatial storage to store your things?]
[One slot is only 100 Life Votes!]
Only, your a*s.
His entire asset was robbed by this unscrupulous league.
Why did no one tell him that he had to spend his Life Votes before entering the ruin?
That way, wouldn't he be able to buy the "spatial storage" and not drag the red tongue carpet around aimlessly??
Leinster felt a surge of anger in his usually calm heart and his face flushed red, smoke rising from the top of his head.
Ughhhh, so annoying!!
He felt like destroying the world or something!
Not knowing that the side effect of the [Wrath Store] had already kicked in, Leinster gripped the red tongue carpet tightly as he looked at the surroundings—
His anger suddenly cooled down.
Is it just his imagination, or the white mist around suddenly became much closer than before?
By now, the mist was about to touch a few people at the edge of the parking lot.
Leinster had just thought of the mist when the white mist quietly touched an ordinary college student.
Then...the mist quickly enveloped the college student from head to toe as a piercing scream echoed throughout the parking lot.
"A-AHHHHH!!!!" The male college student screamed in a hoarse voice.
Under the gaze of 98 people and one alien...
His entire body dissolved like a mud with blood pouring out, dying the white mist and the grey asphalt red.
The fishy smell of blood was quickly picked up by the wind, followed by the smell of other things that Leinster didn't want to dwell on.
The people closest to the college guy looked at the puddle of blood and mixed organs on the grey asphalt, their entire bodies stiff, their blood turned cold.
The parking lot fell into an eerie silence for a split second before screams erupted everywhere.
"Ah! Ah! Ah! The fog— the fog is killing people!"
