When we got back to the company, it was already dark. The day went by so quickly, yet so much happened. I still can't keep up, and I'm more pressured at the thought of meeting Ares.

I sighed heavily as I walked through the half-empty ballpen; just a few staffers lingered and didn't pay much attention to me. Thank God. I felt like I was a walking reality show in this company, and there were cameras at all angles seizing me up.
I'm exhausted, and my feet hurt from my heels. I so badly want to take them off, but I resist the urge, engaging further until I reach the executive suite, freezing when I see Ares standing by the door leading to his office.
He pinned me with his eyes, no playful amusement as earlier, just blank.
