Chapter 10 - Sheila's POV

I've always found it hard to express myself and even when I did, I was always as honest as possible that made me have less to no friends.

This continued up till highschool, even in highschool, due to my personality, I was able to be the student council president even while I was just in my first year.

No one wanted to approach me and no one knew how much I wanted them to do so, until I met him.

It was during my third year, just after school that day, classes were over and it was time to go home but as fate would have it, it started to rain and I forgot my umbrella.

So I decided to wait in school for it to die down, I took out my unfinished novel and started to read while I waited for the rain to stop.

I was so engrossed in my book that I did not notice someone beside me, until he tapped me, I frowned and looked at the person.

Aisaac Sinclaire.

I knew who he was, everyone knew who he was since he was dating one of the top beauties of our highschool, Freya Olsen, who was in my class.

He was not anything remarkable aside from the fact that he was handsome, his grades were average and he was just like me, someone who does not speak much.

"What?" I asked.

"I had been calling you but you didn't answer me" he replied.

I just waved the book in front of him and his eyes widened.

"Wait...you read these kind of books?"

I frowned,what's he talking about?

"You don't look like someone who reads action, you seem more like the romance type, you know, CEO who wants me, Cinderella those typa shii" Aisaac had said and it puzzled me.

"Really?"

He nodded before chuckling, "but it's nice though, it makes you seem more human"

"Human...are you trying to say I did not seem human?"

He nodded again, "you seem like a goddess who didn't want anything to do with humans but I knew you just never knew how to express yourself and you are too blunt"

The way he understood how I am rocked me and that's what drew me towards him.

As we both waited for the rain, we spoke a lot which made me understand the kind of person he was.

Aisaac Sinclaire was a guy who gave back what you gave him.

From then on, we began book buddies, or so I thought, I wanted to be something more, whem I watched him and Freya, I felt this itch in my heart. I knew how many times I had touched myself while thinking about him before I went to bed.

I couldn't tell him. I couldn't, so we won't spoil what we shared.

Then the day came when I, Aisaac and some of my classmates were teleported to Xenoria.

We awakened our gifts and that was when everyone showed their true colors.

Aisaac had awakened the gift of adaptation which to me was one of the best gift while I had awakened the gift of embodiment.

I was disgusted by my classmates as they laughed at him, it was then revealed that Freya had just been playing around with Aisaac but was truly dating Kaelen, my class president. I was infuriated by this.

I wanted to intervene and say something, but I saw him look at me before he shook his head. The way his eyes were calm caused my heart to break.

I hated my classmates, I hated Freya but out of everyone, I hated Kaelen the most.

He was just a lecherous pervert, I knew how he had slept with most of the girls in school and even the teachers just because his father was a mayor. I'm sure he would be more unhinged here, since his gift basically makes him number one.

My hate increased when he called out for Aisaac to be banished, but the Queen was merciful and asked for the opinion of others, Aisaac again stopped me from saying anything.

He just asked for some money and the chance to get a demon beast eggs which would hatch into his familiar.

As this happened, the queen dismissed everybody and Aisaac was escorted by her butler towards the monster pavilion.

(A/N: I decided to change the demon beast ranch from chapter 1&2 to monster pavilion)

I had just gotten to my room when the b*tch, Freya came to me saying Kaelen wanted to have a meeting in his room, I didn't want to go at first but I just had to since senses were telling me I'll get something.

And could you believe it, Kaelen wanted to get rid of Aisaac, why?

Aisaac did not do anything, just because he was an extra summon, Kaelen wants him dead.

I couldn't stay in the room anymore, so I said some words and left, I did not know what I said as I wanted to find Aisaac.

Luckily, I met the queen.

"Otherworlder, what is it?"

I gave a curt bow, "Your Majesty"

The Queen nodded, "you may speak"

"I wanted to know, where is Aisaac?"

The Queen looked at me for a while and as if she felt the desperation in my voice, she answered, "he should by reaching the palace gates..."

Not waiting for her to speak, I turned around and ran.

Good thing, I was able to meet him, but as we exchanged words, I was not able to tell him about Kaelen, so I just made him promise me not to die.

"Same to you, Sheila, I hope the next time we meet, your temperament has not changed" Aisaac had said.

I had vowed that I won't change, and if we ever meet again, I'll tell him about my feelings.

That night, I watched as Kaelen, Freya, Morgan and Lexus had come back through the palace gates, my heart clenched in my chest as I clasped my hands and prayed to which ever god in this world.

I became detached from everyone, I ate my meals alone, I practiced alone. Until we were summoned by queen due to the arrival of the saintess.

She explained the reason for our summon and the queen backed her up with telling us about Xenoria, it's kingdoms and races followed by ranks and classes.

The Queen assigned five people to guide us before the academy recruitment ceremony a month away.

Amongst the five people, I selected Nyxara, a noble dragon from the dragon continent, she originally wanted to train two people but when she saw me, she decided to train only me.

And the training was tough, she just sent me to the forest behind the Grixia palace, and told me to survive for a week.

When I did, I was already level 35 and had acquired a couple of skills. I thought that would be all until...

"Fight me..."

I immediately declined.

Then she grinned, and I knew when she grinned like that, it was not always good, or was it?

She said something that struck me and we decided to make a deal.

Aisaac was alive, and if I wanted to know more, I had to fight her for an hour.
