A cargo delivery man wearing a hat walked into the Osaka Police Department.
"Muto, another package for the Superintendent?"
This delivery man was clearly already a frequent visitor to the Osaka Police Department and was very familiar with those officers.
"Yeah, is the Superintendent in? There is a package suddenly."
"Old rules, we need to do a metal detection check."
The delivery man very straightforwardly handed it to one of the police officers.
"It's so light."
Upon receiving the package, the officer took a surprised glance at the delivery man, and then began the detection process according to procedure.
"Alright, there's no metal reaction. I'll just help you take it up."
"Sorry for the trouble."
The delivery man turned and left.
Inside Hattori Heizo's Office!
The three men sat quietly on the sofa. Since the Night Baron said the game had begun, there would definitely be a next step or a hint.
"Superintendent, I am Sakata; there is a package for you."
Officer Sakata's voice came from outside the door.
The three men exchanged a glance, a flash of sharp light crossing their eyes.
"Come in."
The door opened, and Officer Sakata walked in. After nodding to the three men, he placed the package on Hattori Heizo's desk.
"Sakata, do you know who sent it?" Toyama Ginshiro suddenly asked.
"It was delivered by Muto Saida," Officer Sakata answered.
"Heizo, could it be him?" Toyama Ginshiro looked toward Hattori Heizo.
Hattori Heizo looked at the package and shook his head slightly: "This is just a package. If it were his hint, he definitely wouldn't come personally; no need to pay it any mind."
Kudo Yusaku nodded: "The Superintendent is right; there is no meaning in him disguising himself as a delivery man."
Toyama Ginshiro nodded; he was merely being cautious.
"Then I'll take my leave first."
Officer Sakata left the room.
In the Main Hall!
"Officer Sakata, where are you going?"
"Going out for a bit."
Officer Sakata gave a smile to those police officers and walked straight out of the hall.
"That's strange; isn't today Officer Sakata's scheduled day off? Why did he suddenly come back?"
"Maybe the Superintendent or the Superintendent-General asked him to come back and help."
"True, Officer Sakata is a capable assistant by the side of the Superintendent and the Superintendent-General."
Those police officers only discussed Officer Sakata's unusual actions for a moment; nothing produced any suspicion.
Inside the office, Hattori Heizo took out a small knife and slowly cut open the small box.
Kudo Yusaku and Toyama Ginshiro walked over, looking at the package.
The lid was opened.
Seeing the item inside, the pupils of the three men contracted, and their eyes revealed a hint of surprise.
"A Rubik's Cube?"
"A Spherical Rubik's Cube?"
"There's a piece of paper."
After Toyama Ginshiro picked up the Spherical Rubik's Cube, there was a piece of paper padded underneath.
"Fail and it's destroyed! One day!"
Just those five words were written on it.
The three men looked at each other in dismay.
"The Night Baron couldn't possibly want us to restore this Rubik's Cube, could he?"
Toyama Ginshiro picked up the Rubik's Cube, which was about the size of a globe, and a hint of bitterness appeared in his eyes.
Kudo Yusaku picked up that circular Rubik's Cube, a hint of gravity flashing in his eyes. He tried to manually twist it; it could be twisted very easily, only...
"A 12th-order Rubik's Cube... this..."
A trace of bitterness couldn't help but appear on his face.
"Let's give it a try."
Hattori Heizo also couldn't help but give a bitter smile.
There are no formulas for a 12th-order Rubik's Cube yet. Wanting to restore it to its original state...
The three men did not have a shred of confidence.
"Only, the colors on this Rubik's Cube are too cluttered."
The colors on this Spherical Rubik's Cube were different from the colors of an ordinary Rubik's Cube; there were many strange lines.
Kudo Yusaku flipped it left and right to look at it, a flash of sharp light crossing his eyes: "This is a map."
"A composite map."
Hattori Heizo leaned against the sofa, his expression somewhat helpless.
"One day, huh? This Night Baron really knows how to set a difficult problem for us."
Toyama Ginshiro gave a bitter smile.
"I'll try it first."
Kudo Yusaku began to tinker with it there.
Outside, Heiji sat in a car with headphones on, a wicked, demonic arc curling at the corner of his mouth.
Start the engine, drive!
"Next, it's time to act again."
Kazuha and the other three women were back.
Upon seeing Heiji, Sonoko directly pounced on him, her entire person hanging off his body.
Heiji carefully held Sonoko.
"Are you very tired?"
"Of course I'm tired; we climbed from the foot of the mountain to the summit. So tired."
Sonoko hugged Heiji tightly, her moist thin red lips slightly pouting.
"Sonoko, you actually have the nerve to say you're tired."
Kazuha gave Sonoko a roll of her eyes.
"I just am tired!" Sonoko retorted.
At Vermouth's house.
"So tired."
As soon as Yukiko returned home, she leaned directly against the sofa with a face full of exhaustion.
Eri Kisaki smiled slightly: "Yukiko, are you very tired too?"
"A bit. But Eri, how come you aren't tired?"
Yukiko lightly massaged her long legs, looking at Eri Kisaki in surprise.
"I run frequently, and the mountain wasn't high; it doesn't count as tired."
Eri Kisaki took off her shoes and walked on the wooden floor with her bare feet.
"No wonder your figure is still so good."
"Your figure hasn't changed either."
"Kazuha walked in from outside, looking at the two women with a beaming smile. "Both of you look great.""
"You girl... why didn't Sonoko come?"
"Sonoko said she was very tired and is taking a bath at Heiji's house."
"What about that fellow?"
Yukiko took a glance behind Kazuha; there was no sign of Heiji either.
"Heiji said he had things to do and isn't coming over." Kazuha walked over to Yukiko's side and sat down, hugging her arm: "Yukiko, don't be angry with Heiji anymore; he really didn't mean it last time."
"Hmph, I wouldn't dare be angry at the 'Great Detective.'"
Clearly, her anger still had not dissipated.
"It looks like I'm the only one who can cook today."
Eri Kisaki was in high spirits, preparing to start cooking.
"Eri, it's been over ten years since we saw each other; do you know how to cook now?" Yukiko looked at her close friend in surprise.
"You know how to cook?" Kazuha said in amazement.
"Of course. Just wait and see."
Giving a slight wink to the two women, Eri Kisaki put on her slippers and walked into the kitchen, preparing to put in a great effort.
Heiji lay on the bed.
"Heiji, my feet are so sore; help me rub them."
After finishing her bath, Sonoko walked out draped in a bathrobe, revealing a pair of slender, snow-white jade legs. She lay prone on top of Heiji, her face full of exhaustion.
Heiji held the beauty on his body, carefully flipped over to let her lie on the bed, and gently rubbed her long legs.
Ring, ring!
"Sonoko, is Heiji around? Eri wants you two to come over and eat."
"Can Ran's mom cook? I'll head over with Heiji immediately." Sonoko sat up abruptly: "Heiji, Kazuha said Ran's mom has already finished the meal and wants us to go over."
"Lawyer Kisaki is cooking?"
Heiji's brows furrowed; it seemed he wanted to remember something, but he couldn't quite grasp it.
"Let's go; just give a word to Auntie Shizuka."
Sonoko quickly finished changing her clothes and pulled Heiji downstairs.
The two appeared next door.
"Heiji, Sonoko, you're here. Hurry and eat."
At this moment, Eri Kisaki happened to come out, holding a plate of Japanese home cooking in her hands.
The appearance was not bad
