Chapter 93 - In the Streets of Kamino II

Tetsumaru stood up with a spin from the floor, grabbing the unconscious Heroine by the hair and a leg and throwing her behind the counter with much less tact than a lady deserved.

In his defense, he didn't have time.

His newly discovered Tenketsu points flared up once more, expelling chakra and allowing the shinobi to manipulate the sand running through his body and limbs through a complex system of netting.

With the Sand so close to the power source that moved it, the Nomu interference was unable to affect it.

Using the small but resistant pipes, Tetsumaru manipulated the sand and moved it from its place, which in turn caused his own body to follow the movement as if he were a puppet.

In a second, his body altered its posture in a way impossible by physical means, evading the attack of the slender and fast Nomu that was harassing him.

Tetsumaru drew a kunai and threw it at the creature's eyes, but it changed the angle of its head and the sharp tip bounced off its dense skin.

The chakra-enhanced body and the bio-engineered construct dedicated to speed and explosive force engaged in a duel of agility, speed, and precision in the cramped space of the store.

The shelves with products were overturned and the floor received heavy impacts in rapid succession, cracking and splitting.

Although it was fast and agile, the Nomu's brute strength was considerable. But not enough to overwhelm the shinobi.

A punch was deflected by Tetsumaru's forearm, plunging into the wall and sinking the limb up to the elbow.

Tetsumaru ducked and drew two more kunai, passing between the tall Nomu's legs and leaving as a gift two accurate cuts intended to briefly incapacitate it.

But as soon as he turned to finish off the opponent, the shinobi's black and yellow eyes saw with annoyance how the flesh visibly closed and the Nomu withdrew its fist, facing him with an expression that may or may not have been a disdainful smile.

—Shit— he spat out dryly, retreating as fast as he could from the creature's charge.

This agile and fast Nomu had regeneration, and a powerful one at that. That would explain why it had no mark from the Rasengan the shinobi slammed into its chest before falling to the street. And it was likely the other one had it too.

Perhaps a couple of Rasengan to the face would definitely kill it, but Tetsumaru was not like Uzumaki Naruto: He couldn't use that technique that many times.

He couldn't waste his chakra, he couldn't move his Satetsu properly, he hadn't had enough time to fiddle with the recently unlocked Wind Release, and winning with pure Taijutsu would take too long.

He only had one other useful weapon to finish this in a single move, but with the Nomu's flesh regenerating so quickly from cuts... It left Tetsumaru with only one disgusting option.

The shinobi dodged another punch and delivered one of his own to the creature's chest, making it step back a few paces. The Nomu looked at him, but Tetsumaru made no move to get out of the way.

His stance dropped slightly, his legs prepared, his lips pursed with disgust, and a special part of his sand moved inside his seal.

The Nomu saw no problem with the shinobi's actions, charging at him again at high speed.

Tetsumaru didn't move, waiting for the perfect moment.

When the monster loomed over him and extended its arms to catch him in a bear hug, Tetsumaru jumped and opened his mouth.

Outside the store, Traffic Warden and the other Heroes had managed to break through the Nomu, preventing more monsters from entering while Tetsumaru took care of the most dangerous one. It was the least they could offer, given the circumstances.

Suddenly, the other window of the establishment exploded in a shower of glass and the figures of the combatants emerged into the light, entangled in a kind of... In a...

Both hit the ground and rolled, finally stopping with Tetsumaru straddling the creature's chest.

—...

The Heroes and the monsters looked with bewildered expressions at the speedy Nomu desperately pushing Tetsumaru away, while the shinobi gripped its face with his hands and buried his mouth in one of its eyes, like a lover passionately kissing their love. In the eye.

Tetsumaru licked desperately, plunging his tongue into the eye socket as best he could while his face twisted in disgust.

Finally, he let go of the Nomu and moved to the side, spitting and gagging in the middle of the street, in the midst of a pitched battle.

For its part, the Nomu's eye swelled and unhealthy purple veins spread across the gelatinous organ, reaching the interior of the body in a matter of seconds.

The creature tried to get up and complete its task, but its motor functions failed and it began to convulse, with foam coming out of its mouth.

Tetsumaru recovered from his repulsion, jumping onto the Nomu once more and plunging his hand into its exposed brain, rapidly dismantling it.

For safety reasons, he formed a Rasengan in the hand inside the Nomu's head, liquefying everything inside until it stopped moving and the flesh stopped healing.

Sighing with relief and promising to change the location of his Poison Sand, the shinobi stood up as if nothing strange had just happened, fixing his inexpressive, cold, and cool (in his opinion) gaze on the few remaining monsters.

A dozen Nomu on the ground and some flying creatures that kept their distance, attacking when they found an opportunity. The Heroes really managed to cope despite everything.

—A-are you alright, kid?— Traffic Warden asked awkwardly.

—I am, Senpai. Please, let's finish off these monsters and help me locate the ones interfering with my—

Before Tetsumaru could finish, his sense of danger activated and he moved from his original position, a position where the other speedy Nomu with the claw landed.

The shinobi's eyelid twitched, having no desire to repeat the initial strategy.

Due to the Nomu hindering his Magnet Release, Tetsumaru had no choice but to enter into direct contact with the creatures so that the sand released from his seals would maintain some cohesion.

If he moved too far away, control was lost.

And for reasons that didn't seem so cool now, the sand with the poison was stored on his tongue and not in his hands.

Why? Because Tetsumaru thought it was cool to surprise an opponent with a spit of poisonous sand. It never occurred to him that he would find himself in a situation like this.

Now he only had two options: Lick the Nomu's eyes, or put his tongue in the Nomu's mouth.

It would have been less repulsive to lick open wounds, but with the regeneration that wasn't possible. And Tetsumaru refused to put his tongue in those things' mouths.

—I swear to God I'm adding poison to every single one of these damn seals from now on— he thought bitterly, preparing for another eye lick.

Suddenly, the shinobi realized that an annoying sensation that had been assailing him since he ran into the Nomu disappeared. At the same time, the one in front of him lunged at him at high speed, raising its monstrous claw to end his life.

A dead expression took over Tetsumaru's face, his eyes set on the attacking creature but not quite looking at it directly, but at something beyond.

He opened his mouth and a series of black darts sprouted from it, piercing the running Nomu's brain in quick succession.

The creature suffered the same fate as the previous one, suddenly losing its mobility and falling face down, rolling clumsily and spasming next to the impassive shinobi.

Again, the Heroes didn't know what to think or understand what was happening.

Traffic Warden seemed distracted by something, bringing his hand to his ear and listening carefully. After a moment, he spoke with an enthusiastic and relieved expression.

—Tetsumaru-Kun, Eraser Head-Sama has arrived and reports that the interference emitters have been eliminated. You can use your Quirk again!

—...

Tetsumaru didn't bother to respond, pulling sand from his seals and flooding the area, splitting the speedy Nomu he had just poisoned into small pieces and enclosing the rest in sand coffins, crushing them to death.
