Chapter 27 - Chapter 27: Clash Of Titans

The battlefield has become a maelstrom of chaos. Beast screamed, steel crashed and the ground trembled under the weight of war. Smoke coiled into the sky, carrying the scent of blood and fire, while the air itself seems to crackle with tension. Hart's presence spread like shadow across the battlefield, his pressure bending the earth beneath it.

From the cliff side, Adler's gaze met Simon and Anya in desperate struggle. The beasts pressed in from all sides, relentless and savage. Simon's sword moved with precise accuracy, but exhaustion dragged at his arms and legs. Anya's streaks of flying daggers cut through the oncoming enemies, yet the tide unyielding. They have planned to fight against Hart and the beast god, but are now faced with the armies and Hart drawing much closer.

Adler's chest tightened- burning and flaring, a warning from his godly essence. "Hold on!!" he shouted, his voice rolling around the battlefield like thunder. In the twinkle of an eye, a massive figure was formed, it wasn't just any creature but Adler in his Dragon form. His wings unfurled, each beat stirring a gale that sent the nearest beast off their feet. Dust and debris filled the air, as he descended, a living shield between the heirs and onslaught.

Simon blocked a vicious strike, but a second beast lunged behind him. Before it could bite, Adler anger shot out slamming the beast away with an invisible force of pure pressure. Anya pivoted dodging a slash and Adler wing swept outward, knocking a lot backwards. "Stay behind me", he roared, his eyes burning like molten gold and wings flaring like a living Sun.

The battlefield seemed to acknowledge his presence, the earth shook, trees shivered and cracked, rocks toppled as if reacting to the godly power emanating from him. Every move, Adler was calculated, each strike more to protect than annihilate, creating a breathing space for the heirs, whom had been pushed to the brink.

Hart appeared at the edge of the battlefield, a grin curling beneath his helm. He lunged, black armour gleaming with unnatural Sheen, strikes rained down with terrifying speed. But Adler was unwavering. Every strike Hart made, met a shield or party, redirecting the strike or protecting Simon and Anya from harm.

The heirs pressed forward behind Adler inspired by his intervention. Simon found his footing again, his strikes stronger and confident, Anya daggers danced with renewed precision and accuracy. Beast that once showed relentless are now exhausted, giving the heirs time to regroup and strike more effectively.

Hart's attack grew more intense but Adler wings beat faster sending a gust of wind across the battlefield disrupting his brother rhythm. He dived into a cluster of beast spinning and striking with lethal precision. Fangs and claws that had seemed invisible, now met an invisible force, causing the beasts to falter and stumble. Each blow, each beat of wing was a lifeline for the heirs around him.

Even as Hart pressed forward relentlessly, Adler refused to yield. With each strike exchanged by the godly brothers, the earth trembled, rocks shattering, soils erupting with clouds of dust. Adler eyes blazed, wings beat furiously, as he intercepted another strike aimed at Anya. She barely managed to dodge, but Adler caught her in a hurling of wind, and dropped her safely behind a crumbled stone wall.

Simon gritted with his teeth, pushing back with his sword, but exhaustion pulled him down like gravity. "I can't... hold much longer!", he shouted.

Adler too has begin to wear off but he couldn't stop, not now when his evil brother was already on the field. With a final surge of energy, Adler spread his wings wide, channeling his pressure into a protective barrier that projected outward, shoving back both beasts and his brother. The heirs fell back into the safe space he created, catching their breath and readying for the next wave.

He turned to the rest heirs, " You're not alone, I will protect you." Though he knew, victory was impossible, yes impossible, they can't win, not when those beasts still lived and Hart still against them.
