Because her mind was still preoccupied with other thoughts, Catherine was somewhat distracted. Even when the staff at the door called her name, she didn't hear it. It was only when a young woman sitting next to her reminded her that she snapped back to attention.
Realizing it was her turn for the interview, she quickly stood up and, a little apologetically, followed the staff member inside.
