Chapter 23 - Chapter 23: The Abundant Ebon Deer

"He—He got so big!"

Bai Lu's eyes widened in shock as she gazed up at X, who had suddenly grown into a towering figure.

[You two, make sure you stay safe.]

X voice echoed directly in their minds through thought transmission. Then, without hesitation he rose into the air and flew toward the nearest Ambrosial Arbor root.

Destroying the roots would slow down or maybe stop the Ambrosial Arbor birthing of Abundance abominations.

Along the way, Ultraman X rescued several Xianzhou citizens who were nearly attacked by the Abundance abominations, relocating them to safety before pressing on toward the Alchemy Commission.

Before him now stood the vast, sky-piercing tree, the Ambrosial Arbor itself.

X raised his hand energy gathering, just as Ultraman X was about to shoot beam of light. A massive root burst from the ground, twisting and reshaping into the form of a mystical deer.

Two great antlers adorned its head; its hooves stepped upon writhing black roots, and its eyes gleamed with solemn radiance.

This was no mere creature—it was the Ambrosial Arbor will that been made to flesh, the Abundant Ebon Deer born to protect its body.

Each of its steps gave birth to new branches, spreading outward and wrapping around its form empowering it further.

The deer was nearly equal in size to X, but with its appearance he noticed something.

The Ambrosial Arbor had ceased producing new life. It seemed to have diverted all its strength to this single guardian.

It knew X was not an opponent to take lightly.

"Now's not the time to hold back X, let's go all out!"

[Yeah!]

Daichi didn't hesitate. He inserted the Doomsday Cyber Card into X Devizer.

{Cyber Doomsday... Loading!}

In an instant, silver-violet armor materialized across Ultraman X body.

One gauntlet matched the silver-gray of the armor while the other was a muted black. The armor itself was a thick, heavy carapace shaped like the snarling head of an ancient beast, yet across its face a massive golden X-shaped crystal sealed it shut, the core of that cross a pitch-black center pulsing like an anti-matter core within the Doomsday chest.

{Cyber Doomsday Armor — Active!}

Empowered by this new surge of strength, X charged forward and seized the deer massive antlers.

The deer braced itself, muscles tensing, and with a defiant roar, pushed forward, attempting to drive its horns through X's chest.

The ground shook. The air rippled.

The two titans clashed in raw, primal power.

Behind the Abundant Ebon Deer, roots pulsed and writhed, channeling vitality into its body to fuel its strength.

But X had no intention of yielding. His goal from the start was clear, eliminate the deer greatest weapon: its antlers.

Power of Destruction surged through his gauntlets, amplifying his grip. With a violent crack and a strangled cry from the deer, both antlers shattered in his hands.

[Step one—break the horns.]

Momentum carried the now-unbalanced deer forward. X twisted, directing its charge aside, then locked it in a grappling chokehold with his right arm.

Roots pulsed again, trying to mend the deer broken horns, but X was faster—his left hand flashed, releasing a precise X-Slash that severed the energy veins connecting the deer to the Ambrosial Arbor.

Deprived of its lifeline, the deer let out a mournful roar. It struggled, but X's hold was unbreakable.

Energy flared in his palm, four fingers pressed together, light coalescing along the edge of his hand.

With a sharp motion, he unleashed a flurry of cross-hand strikes, each blow tearing through the deer hide.

At last, X released his grip and drove a powerful kick into the deer abdomen sending it flying.

As the Doomsday Armor disengaged, X pivoted smoothly dragging his left foot in a glowing arc along the ground. The timer on his chest blazed to golden yellow.

His hands crossed before him.

["Xanadium Beam!"]

A brilliant azure beam erupted forth, engulfing the Abundant Ebon Deer.

The explosion lit up the battlefield. A stream of blue data surged from the blast and flowed into X color timer, materializing into Daichi's hand.

"This is... the Abundant Ebon Deer Spark Doll?"

Daichi examined the intricately detailed, doll-sized figure of the creature and placed it atop X Devizer.

"Same as before, X."

[Leave it to me.]

The Spark Doll dissolved into a stream of data and was absorbed by the terminal.

When the smoke cleared, Daichi could see that the Ambrosial Arbor exposed roots were scorched and blackened, barely clinging to life.

They tried to regrow—but after losing so much energy, they faltered.

For now, the immediate crisis had been contained.

But unless they destroyed the corruption at its source, the Ambrosial Arbor would inevitably regenerate.

They had no time to waste.

Without hesitation, X took flight heading toward Scale Abyss Realm.

All along his path, the clouds of Abundance corruption thinned. With the Ambrosial Arbor power crippled, the Cloud Knights rallied, pressing the counterattack.

Even in the face of calamity, the people of Luofu were quick to recover their spirit.

As he flew, X released waves of Purify Wave, healing Cloud Knights on the brink of becoming mara-struck.

Many watched him ascend, their eyes filled with awe as though witnessing a divine miracle.

Ahead, the heart of the battle awaited.

At the root of the Ambrosial Arbor revival, chaos reigned.

Cloud Knights and the Vidyadhara fought desperately against hordes of Abundance abominations yet mixed among them were new foes, Voidrangers rising endlessly from the void.

The Antimatter Legion.

They had chosen this moment to strike.

"Do not panic!" shouted a voice.

"That's our ally!"

The soldiers turned, some gasped as they saw X descending from the sky but their commander, a pink-haired girl quickly calmed them.

X equipped his Doomsday Armor once more, materializing a bow from dark energy. He drew back an invisible string, forming a single obsidian arrow steeped in destructive power.

When he released, the arrow split midair into countless shards, each one piercing its target with deadly precision.

"Fu Xuan, what's the situation?"

Daichi's voice echoed directly into her mind. Fu Xuan didn't know how he did it, but she didn't have time to question it.

She pointed toward the distance, where a frozen passage had been carved through the primordial sea.

An entrance only the Dragon Sovereign have access, have been opened.

"General Jing Yuan and the former Sword Champion have gone ahead to face the true culprit," she replied.

"Leave this place to us—go, quickly!"
