Rian's POV
Kai is eighteen months old when Luca brings it up.
"What do you think about another baby?" he asks casually over dinner.
I nearly choke. "Another?"
"Yeah. Kai should have a sibling. And I'm ready. If you are."
I stare at him. "You're serious."
"Completely." He takes my hand. "I loved being pregnant. Love being a parent. Want to do it again. With you."
"We'd have two kids. Two wolf pups running around."
"Exactly." His smile is warm. "A real family. Complete family."
"We're already complete—"
"Expanded family." He squeezes my hand. "What do you think?"
I think about it—honestly, carefully. Another pregnancy. Another birth. Another child to love and protect.
"Yes," I finally say. "Let's have another baby."
His smile is brilliant. "Yeah?"
"Yeah." I pull him into my lap. "Let's give Kai a sibling."
"When?"
"Now?" I grin. "We can start trying now."
"Eager Alpha."
"Excited Alpha." I kiss him deeply. "Want to fill our home with children. With love. With family."
That night, we try for the first time—making love with purpose, with hope, with future.
"Imagine," Luca breathes as we move together. "Another baby. Another little one to love."
"Boy or girl this time?"
"Don't care. As long as they're healthy." He arches against me. "And loved. So loved."
"They will be. Like Kai. Like you." I move deeper. "Our family growing. Perfect."
Over the next few weeks, we try regularly. Each time filled with hope and love and anticipation.
"What if I don't get pregnant again?" Luca worries one night.
"Then we try longer. Or we're happy with Kai. Either way, we're complete." I hold him close. "No pressure, baby. This should be fun, not stressful."
"You're right." He kisses me. "Let's just enjoy it. If it happens, amazing. If not, we're still blessed."
"Exactly."
Six weeks later, Luca comes to me with a test.
"Positive," he whispers, crying happy tears.
"We're pregnant again?" I lift him, spinning carefully. "We're having another baby?"
"We are!" He laughs through tears. "Kai's going to be a big brother!"
I kiss him desperately, overwhelmed with joy. "Thank you. For this. For our growing family."
"Thank you for wanting this. With me."
That evening, we tell Kai—who's too young to understand but knows something important happened.
"Baby," I tell him, pointing to Luca's stomach. "Little brother or sister. In papa's belly."
Kai pats Luca's stomach curiously. "Baba?"
"Close enough." Luca laughs. "Yes, baby. Growing right here."
Kai leans in, kissing Luca's belly. My heart melts.
"He's going to be a great big brother," I observe.
"The best." Luca pulls me close. "Just like his daddy is the best Alpha, the best husband, the best father."
