Rian's POV
Labor is faster this time.
Luca's body knows what to do. Six hours from first contraction to delivery.
"Push," the doctor coaches. "Almost there—"
One final push, and—
A cry. High, angry, beautiful.
"It's a girl!" The doctor places our daughter on Luca's chest.
She's tiny. Tinier than Kai was. Perfect dark hair, already trying to open her eyes.
"Hi," Luca sobs, holding her. "Hi, baby girl."
I'm crying too, overwhelmed. "Our daughter. We have a daughter."
She opens her eyes—silver-blue, like Luca's. Unique. Beautiful.
"She has your eyes," I breathe.
"And your hair." He's laughing and crying. "She's perfect."
They clean her quickly, and I cut the cord with shaking hands. Then she's back in Luca's arms, nursing immediately.
"Natural," the nurse approves. "Big brother's going to be jealous."
"Kai will love her," Luca says confidently.
That evening, we bring Kai to meet his sister.
He's cautious at first, staring at the tiny baby in Luca's arms.
"Sister," I tell him. "This is your baby sister."
"Sissy?" He moves closer, touching her hand gently.
She grips his finger immediately. Kai's face lights up.
"Sissy!" he declares proudly.
"Gentle," Luca reminds him. "She's very small."
Kai nods seriously, patting her head carefully.
Watching my son meet his daughter—my heart is too full.
"We did good," I tell Luca.
"We did perfect." He looks at our children. "Two perfect babies."
"Name?" I ask. We've discussed dozens, but nothing feels right yet.
Luca studies our daughter. "Luna."
"Luna?"
"She's born under the full moon. Silver eyes. It fits." He looks at me. "What do you think?"
"Luna Blackwood." I test it. "Perfect."
Our daughter—Luna—yawns, tiny mouth opening, already falling asleep.
"Hi, Luna," I whisper, kissing her forehead. "Welcome to our family."
That night, in the hospital room, both children sleeping, Luca and I finally breathe.
"Two kids," he says, still in disbelief.
"Two perfect kids." I hold him carefully. "You were amazing. Again."
"You were supportive. Again." He smiles. "We're getting good at this."
"At making babies?"
"At being parents. Being partners. Being us."
I kiss him softly. "Love you. So much."
"Love you too. Thank you for our daughter. For our family."
"Thank you for carrying her. For growing our family. For choosing this life with me."
The next morning, taking Luna home, Kai is protective immediately—watching her, bringing her toys, trying to help.
"Good brother," I praise him.
"Best brother," Luca agrees.
Our family. Complete now. Two children, one mate, endless love.
"This is it," I tell Luca that evening, both kids sleeping. "This is everything I ever wanted."
"Me too." He leans into me. "Our perfect family."
"Worth the forced beginning?"
"Worth everything." He kisses me. "Every moment, every struggle, every fear. Led us here. To this. To them. To us."
