Thea hurriedly turned around to raise her hand, motioning for her to stop before the battle maid could reach the bed chamber. "Nothing. You may leave."
Vanessa raised her eyebrow, but in the end, she quietly bowed and backed away without entering the room.
Shutting the door, Thea returned to the bed chamber, spotting Qin Wei trying to get dressed.
Thea crossed her arms. "Now, Husband, mind telling me what's going on…" Her eyes glowed as they wandered around. For a moment, there was a frown. "No one seemed to be present."
But then, her eyes spotted the remnant milky fluid and stain on the bedsheet.
"You…" Her eyes widened in surprise. "Husband was relieving himself?" She asked aloud.
Qin Wei could only scratch his cheek, awkwardly nodding. Thinking of a swift lie, he said, "It's been three days, and you were suddenly acting coldly, and I was banned from touching other maids according to the rules. So, I thought I might not be able to get some today. So, I just…"
As a writer, he knows how to say a convincing lie, but even then, he was embarrassed as he said those words. He now can't say that he slept with his maid lover behind her, can he? Wouldn't it be the same as cheating?

"Master Icarus," she said, her tone as calm as ever. "Lady Thea has departed for her sect early this morning. She instructed me to inform you that during her absence, I will be acting head of the residence."
Qin Wei's eyes widened in surprise. "Eh? She left? Without even telling me?"
Vanessa nodded, replying. "Yes. She didn't leave any letter this time, but left a parting message. She told me to tell you that she will be away for three months in closed-door training, to break through to the next stage. All other rules of the villa will be applied as usual."
"Three months?" Qin Wei put on a frown, pushing off the covers. He then blinked. "So, what about my needs?"
Vanessa plainly answered. "Once a week, you are allowed to visit a brothel."
