Emily woke to find a note slipped under her door.
She picked it up, recognizing Sebastian's sharp handwriting immediately.

Emily smiled despite herself and got ready for the day.
The campus library was busy when she arrived, students scattered across every available surface, cramming for various exams. The air smelled like coffee, anxiety, and desperation.
Sebastian had claimed a large table in a corner study room, already surrounded by textbooks, notebooks, and his ever-present laptop. He looked up when Emily entered, gesturing to the chair across from him.
"Right on time," he said. "Did you bring coffee?"
Emily set down two cups. "As requested."
"Excellent. Now sit. We have work to do."
Emily raised an eyebrow. "I thought I was studying alone."
