Chapter 45 - Chapter 46 – The Wedding of Ice and Blood

Frostheim had never been so quiet.

The forge had dimmed, the Red Vein had closed its doors, and even the aurora seemed to hold its breath.Every tower glowed with pale frostlight; the streets were lined with flowers carved from enchanted ice that would never melt.Tonight, the north would witness the joining of fire and winter — and the crowning of Frostheim's new era.

The Procession

Lumiel adjusted his collar for the seventh time.

"I told them I wanted dramatic lighting, not emotional responsibility."Luminous smirked. "You're best man, brother. Try to act like it.""I am acting."

Daniel handed out flasks of Crimson Frost to the guests.Laura carried a bouquet of frostflowers glowing faintly blue; she'd laced them with a little potion that made them shimmer like stars.

The people gathered in a great amphitheater of aurora glass overlooking the bay.The ships of the Dock of Blades had been moored in a circle, their sails glowing red and silver. In the center stood an altar of living ice, shaped like a rising flame.

Klaus waited there — silent, dignified, dressed in ceremonial armor of silver steel streaked with frost runes. He looked less like a soldier and more like an eternal monument.

Then the music began.

The Arrival of the Queen

Queen Eira appeared at the top of the steps, and even the wind stilled. Her gown was woven from threads of aurora and snowlight, her crown a circlet of frostfire crystals. Each step left glowing footprints that faded into mist.

As she walked, the aurora bent toward her, forming a bridge of light to the altar.

Lumiel whispered to Luminous,

"She's radiant.""You mean terrifyingly perfect.""Same thing."

When Eira reached Klaus, their eyes met — one human, one Ice-Elf — and the light between them seemed to change color.

The Vows of Frost and Flame

An elder Ice-Elf priestess raised her staff.

"Klaus Valentine, child of fire and reason. Eira Skjoldheim, daughter of winter and dawn. By flame and frost, do you bind your hearts and realms?""We do," they said together.

Eira stepped forward, holding a crystal of pure frostlight.

"By my hand," she whispered, "I offer the gift of Winter's Heart."

The crystal dissolved into her palm, turning her veins to light. She placed her hand over Klaus's chest — and frost spread across his armor, skin, and hair in glowing lines. His breath misted; his eyes turned from steel-gray to ice-blue.

The audience gasped softly.

"You are no longer only man," the priestess said. "You are bound to the North. From this day, you are Ice-Elf born — the Frost-Bound Jarl of Frostheim."

Eira smiled gently.

"Now you truly belong to my world."Klaus took her hand."And you to mine."

The Blood and the Flame

Lumiel stepped forward, holding two goblets — one filled with Red Code light, one with frost essence.

"Tradition demands a toast," he said. "Innovation demands we make it slightly dangerous."

He handed them each a goblet. The moment their drinks touched, the liquid fused — red and blue merging into violet light that rose between them, spiraling like a living flame.

They drank together, and the aurora flared into a storm of color that painted the sky with waves of silver and crimson. The people cheered, shouting their new names:

"Hail Klaus Valentine of Frostheim!""Hail Queen Eira of the Crowned North!"

The Celebration

The Red Vein reopened for one night only — a grand feast that spilled into the streets.Laura's enchanted mead flowed like rivers, and Luminous's songs filled the air.Lumiel played his violin on the balcony, watching the newlyweds dance beneath the aurora halo.

"I have to admit," Daniel said beside him, "you outdid yourself.""I always do," Lumiel said, eyes gleaming. "It's a curse.""What will you do now?""Oh, you know," he said, smiling faintly. "Start another impossible project."

Closing Scene

Later that night, long after the laughter faded, Klaus and Eira stood on the balcony of the Ice Palace, watching their city glow.Below them, Frostheim's lights shimmered like constellations; above, the aurora burned eternal.

"Do you feel it?" she asked quietly."The cold?" he said."No," she whispered. "The peace."

He wrapped an arm around her.

"Then let's protect it — together."

The aurora answered, a final flare of red and blue forming a crown of light above their heads —the symbol of the union between blood and frost, man and elf, love and reason.

And from that night on, Frostheim was no longer just a city —it was a kingdom.
