Looking at the trembling grass, Lloyd paused. The others arrived peering into the space behind the rock.
"Where is it?" Zave asked.
Seven stared silently at the space, his grey eyes showing a cold glint, "It's here."
"Yeah, it's still here," Alex confirmed.
Lloyd took a step forward, "Heh? Do you think you can hide from us?" He paused, "Even if you run you can't escape from here. Show yourself leech!"
Mireille sat facing them, her body curled inward, frozen in place, she had used an invisibility spell, a typical vampire spell. She could see them standing right in front of her, Lloyd, only a hair's breadth away. She felt like a rabbit cornered by wolves-in a literal sense.
"Could we be mistaken?" Seven asked.
"Are you doubting me?" Alex asked, forcing seven to quiet down. He was right-he had the most sensitive sense of smell among them, add that to the fact that werewolves already had a keen sense of smell.
Zave, the smarter one among them, was muttering to himself when he suddenly spoke up, "I've heard of this before it's a common skill used by vampires for concealment, it should still be here."
She looked at the silver haired wolf, glaring at him. 'Damn it, I'm going to get caught at this rate.' At this point she could feel her strength draining. She hadn't eaten all night. As if that wasn't enough, she had used such a spell consuming what little energy she had left.
"Alright, since it doesn't want to come out..." Lloyd started, his hands shifted, nails lengthening into claws. "We'll deal with it as it is." With that he raised his arm, claws gleaming, he brought it down at a terrifying speed. The others kept their senses up muscles taut, watching for any slight movement.
Mireille watched in fear at Lloyd's raised claws, eyes opened wide, her spell faltered slightly, she was on her last thread. 'It's now... or nothing.' Before Lloyd could make any other move she cancelled the spell revealing a pale face, eyes filled with terror.
"Well, well, well, what do we have here?" Lloyd stared down at the fragile figure, his gaze sharp and unreadable. He saw a delicate face staring back at him. With pale skin unique to vampires her bright red lips formed a stark contrast making her appear more alive. Her bright eyes glistened with unshed tears, her pupils however were blood red, a trait of all vampires. Her jet black hair tied into a messy twin buns, her bangs hanging somewhat damp against her forehead.
For a moment Lloyd hesitates, a slight ripple flashed through his pupil but he quickly regained his composure. the others were equally stunned, unable to figure out whether to carry through with killing her. Well, almost everyone except Alex who looked like nothing could ever shake him.
Even with her current state cutting out a sorry figure, she still seemed ethereal.
"Oh, you finally decided to show yourself." Seven chipped in, breaking the tense atmosphere. "Hm? She's not even putting up a fight?"
"What is this? A trap?" A fierce glint flickered in Zave and Alex's eyes, as they looked around, seeing there wasn't anything out of the ordinary they decided to turn their attention back to the figure before them.
"Who are you? And what do you want here?" Lloyd asked first, his voice deep and magnetic carrying a hint of danger.
For a moment Mireille is caught in a daze, 'I knew he was perfect, his voice is also perfect.' She stared blankly at Lloyd causing him to frown, before she knew what was happening she saw a sharp pair of eyes right in front of her, snapping out of her daze she let out a silent shriek, shrinking backwards slightly. Lloyd stood straightening up from his bending position and looked down on the figure before him again.
"It seems she didn't hear you, Lloyd," Matt chirped laughing slightly.
Alex looked on coldly.
"What are you doing wandering into our territory?" Zave asked.
"I-I'm sorry. I didn't mean to wander into your territory." Mireille answered stammering. " I was just out hunting and accidentally wandered in here."
"You want us to believe that?" Lloyd asks his tone sharp, not giving her the chance to finish.
"Yeah, you vampires are quite cunning. You couldn't have wandered into werewolf territory by accident." Zave adds eyes scanning the trembling figure.
Alex looks at the figure trembling before them, "It's all an act don't waste time asking unnecessary questions and wasting your breath. Just kill her."
Hearing that Hoshino's breath caught in her throat she felt like spitting out blood, 'What the hell! Is this guy crazy, a ruthless beauty indeed.' She looked at the white haired wolf whose purple eyes shone with ruthlessness and gave a feeling like everything else was below him.
"Wait, I'm really telling the truth. I didn't mean to come into your territory, really!"
"Umm, guys why don't we listen to what she has to say. It's not like she can do anything anyway looking at her current state..." Seven said somewhat hesitantly looking at Lloyd then at Hoshino.
For a moment Mireille felt somewhat grateful increasing his score to eight, 'He has a great personality.' not until she heard his next words.
"At most if she tries anything it's four against one handling her wouldn't be a big deal."
'Aah, six, I take it back, six. Wait he's too good looking, fine we'll retain the seven, ugh.' Her face contorted.
"No, I suggest we kill her before she makes any moves." Hearing Alex's sharp words she snapped back to reality, realising the situation she was in.
"But, Alex maybe she really is telling the truth let's just hear her out." Seven tries again. Zave opens his mouth to speak, but before he could utter a sound, a crushing force came over everyone present forcing the wolves to their knees and making them bare their necks. "That's enough." Lloyd voice sounded carrying an air of authority. The immense pressure bore down on them causing them to stumble, Seven supported himself with his hands else his face would have been flat on the ground.
He let them off, reigning in the aura he released to suppress them. His gaze landed back on the figure now recoiling, breath hitching with every heartbeat thanks to his earlier suppression.
"Speak, what are you doing scurrying around in our territory?" Lloyd asked again.
"I-I was just out hunting, I-I swear, I didn't, I just, I wasn't paying attention to my surroundings and before I realised I was here." Mireille stammered almost crying. The air around her felt too thick to even breathe.
Lloyd paused a beat, staring intently into her eyes to see if there was any hint of deception. After a while he looked away. "Alright, let's assume what you said is true, but...so what?"
"We're not going to let you go just because you claim you accidentally wandered into our territory." His golden eyes flashed as he examined her. For a moment Mireille saw what despair truly felt like. The others also looked on some showing little interest, some agreeing and some a bit sympathetic.
