Kira listened to the deafening silence that enveloped the mansion. His parents had left with his younger brother again, they had clearly promised to wait for him, and yet, like every other promise, this one too was not kept.
He sometimes wondered why his parents gave birth to him if they weren't going to love him anyway. For as long as he can remember he had never seen his mother smile, yet when he accidentally peeks on her playing with his younger brother, she's always smiling so happily with him like he's the best thing this world had offered her. But when it comes to him it's almost like she hates his very existence.
