Chapter 82: "Black Arm" Zephyr
"Instructor... Zephyr...?" Ace struggled to lift his head.
Clutching the unconscious Luffy, Ace stared up at the massive figure standing protectively in front of them, his voice filled with disbelief.
Zephyr didn't turn around, but his voice was as cold as ice. "Ace. Take Luffy and get back."
His broad back was a bulwark amid the jungle ruins, his purple hair whipping in the wind. His muscles were corded like steel, and the aftershock of his Haki still vibrated in the air.
He glared at the old woman, enunciating every word. "You... are going... to die."
"BOOM—!!!"
Before the words even faded, Zephyr exploded forward. His iron fist, like a falling mountain, smashed directly into Weevil's raised bisento!
"CLANG—!!"
The deafening metallic shriek tore the air. Trees were ripped from the ground, a deep crater blasted into the earth, and the surrounding rocks shattered!
"Black Arm" Zephyr, the man famed for his "no-kill" policy... was now radiating pure, unadulterated killing intent.
His famous "Black Arms" were coated in obsidian Haki, each punch carrying the force to shatter mountains!
"Mama said... kill you all!" Weevil roared, his simple-minded grin still on his face, but even he could feel the suffocating pressure!
"In your dreams!!"
Zephyr stomped, the ground cracking, and his right fist shot out like a cannonball.
On the other side, Miss Bakkin, seeing the tide turn, had a cunning glint in her eyes.
"It's no good... we're at war with the Marines now. That brat with the Conqueror's Haki... he absolutely cannot be allowed to live!"
Bakkin, despite her small, stooped frame, launched herself like a leopard, lunging straight for Ace and Luffy!
Ace stumbled back, clutching his brother. He was completely drained from the Haki outburst, so weak he could barely stand, his face pale.
"Damn it... move, legs...!"
"CLANG!!"
A green blur intercepted her, two swords crossing to block the golden cane aimed at Ace's throat!
"Your fight is with us, old hag."
Zoro grinned, his eyes gleaming with a predatory light.
Bakkin was floored. "What?!"
The ground suddenly erupted as thick vines shot out, wrapping around Bakkin's legs. Behind her, Binz had his hands on the earth!
At the same time, Ain appeared like a phantom, her short blades flashing!
Her "Revert-Revert" power struck, but Bakkin was fast. Bakkin dodged, but the blade still sliced her cheek and shattered her sunglasses!
"You guys?!" Ace stared in shock.
"Hmph. We're Marines," Zoro sneered. "We're not just going to stand by and watch our comrades get killed!"
"Besides..." Ain added quietly, "Instructor Zephyr didn't order us to help, but he didn't order us not to, either."
Binz nodded, "Protecting our allies is part of the mission!"
"You insolent brats!!" Bakkin shrieked, "Do you have any idea who I am?! I was on Whitebeard's—!"
She was cut off as Zoro pressed his attack, his twin blades clashing with her cane.
"Two-Sword Style: Rhino Cycle!!"
Zoro's relentless barrage kept her on the defensive, while Ain's "Revert" ability disrupted her movements and Binz's vines harassed her from every angle.
"These brats... are actually pinning me down?!" Bakkin thought, her alarm growing.
Back at the main fight...
"BOOM—!!!"
Zephyr's fist like thunder, Weevil's bisento like lightning. The shockwave annihilated the entire grove.
Weevil barely blocked the first punch, but his bisento bent and buckled under the terrifying force!
"Guah...!" Weevil realized this old man was not a normal enemy.
But Zephyr's assault didn't stop! "Soru: Chain Collapse!"
He vanished, reappearing in Weevil's guard. "BAM!" The first punch to the gut. "BAM!" The second to the chest. "BAM!" The third to the shoulder, sending the giant stumbling back, his every step cracking the earth.
Zephyr's face was a mask of cold fury.
Thanks to Law's 'surgery'... this damn asthma... is finally no longer holding me back!
"Your strength is impressive," Zephyr said, his voice cold. "You have a shadow of Whitebeard's power... But compared to the real Whitebeard, you're just a rabid dog!!"
His gaze flickered to Ace and the unconscious Luffy. His rage boiled over.
"They... are my students! My children!!"
"SMASH: HAKI FIST!!!"
His entire arm turned pitch-black, veins bulging, Haki crackling around it like black lightning! He leaped, a meteor of pure rage, his fist aimed at the ground!
Weevil sensed death. He roared, swinging his bisento! "WEVIL-SLASH!"
"BOOOOOOM!!!!!"
Heaven and earth collapsed. The fist and blade collided like a meteor striking the planet! The entire island shook. The shockwave flattened the forest and blasted Zoro, Kuina, Ain, Binz, and Bakkin backward!
In the smoke, Weevil's bisento shattered into three pieces. He was blasted into the ground, his body broken.
"Gah... Ma... Mama!!"
"TEMPEST AXE!!!"
Zephyr descended like lightning, his Haki-coated leg moving faster than sound, a giant axe-kick that slammed into Weevil's chest!
"BAM!!!"
The ground gave way. A massive, bottomless crater formed where Weevil lay, his bones pulverized, his breathing gone.
Zephyr landed, his feet pinning Weevil's arms. His rock-like fists, coated in spiraling Haki, slowly raised for the final judgment.
Zephyr looked down, his voice like a death knell. "This fist... will send you to hell!!"
Bakkin screamed in the distance, "WEEVIL! ZEPHYR, YOU DARE!!"
Hearing his mother, Weevil tried to move, but he was pinned.
"BLACK ARM: ULTIMATE PULVERIZER!!!"
The fist fell.
"BOOM!!!"
The center of the island exploded. Weevil's body was completely obliterated, his remains scattered to the winds.
In the smoke, Zephyr stood, his purple hair wild, his black arms stained.
The symbol of "No-Kill" Justice had finally, in defense of his students, unleashed his true, destructive power. The judgment was passed:
Touch my students, and you die.
