BOOOOM! RUMBLE!!!
Armament Haki and lightning collided in the sky in the most primal, savage clash imaginable.
Rehn's fist, condensed with Extreme Break, proved superior in the end!
"BREAK-FOR-ME!!"
Rehn roared. The Armament Haki on his fist detonated outward, and he smashed the thick pillar of lightning straight down the middle with a single punch!
BANG!!
Lightning arcs exploded outward like fireworks!
"What?!"
Enel's pupils shrank violently. For the first time, his pride and joy, his lightning, had been overpowered head-on with no tricks.
"Nice one, fatty!"
The instant Enel stiffened from having his move broken, Sanji's shout rang out from behind him!
"Diable Jambe Third-Grade Mincemeat!"
A flying kick wreathed in crimson flames, and jet-black Haki flew forward like a hellish drill, aimed straight at Enel's back, the very spot Rehn had just struck!
Enel was, after all, a battle-hardened "god." Even without Armament, his Mantra was overwhelmingly powerful.
He sensed Sanji's attack instantly and forcibly twisted his body midair.
"Stupid insects! Don't get cocky!"
"Raigo!"
Abandoning defense, he countered with even greater speed, firing a lightning pillar at point-blank range straight at Sanji!
A mutual-destruction tactic!
But Sanji's combat experience was immense; he'd clearly anticipated Enel's desperate gamble.
"Geppo!"
Sanji aborted the kick, his body carving an impossible angle in midair, narrowly dodging the lightning's direct hit!
ZZZRT!
The berserk current grazed his suit, scorching the hem pitch black.
"Tch!" Sanji clicked his tongue and pulled back.
"Yahaha…"
Enel steadied himself, rising again to face the two from afar.
He glanced at the aching imprint on his chest, then at the pair opposite him, unscathed and perfectly coordinated. The mockery on his face finally… vanished completely.
In its place appeared unprecedented gravity, and the furious rage of a god forced this far by mortals!
"Two… strong insects."
Enel slowly raised both hands. The drums on his back began to boom dully.
At that moment, the sky went completely berserk.
Under Enel's will, it transformed into a true hell of lightning!
"Ten Thousand Thunders!!!"
RUMBLE-RUMBLE-RUMBLE!!!!
Thousands upon thousands of golden bolts no longer fell as pillars; they became an airtight rain of lightning, pouring down from the heavens!
This was an indiscriminate, saturation bombardment covering thousands of meters of sea around the Weatheria!
"Not good!" Rehn's expression changed.
"H-hey, has this guy lost his mind?!" Sanji stared in disbelief.
"Full power! Wind Knots!"
Aboard the Weatheria, Haredas screamed hoarsely. Every meteorologist worked themselves to the bone, conjuring wind-ropes to drag the ship away before the storm hit!
"It's useless, dodge!!"
Rehn and Sanji abandoned the offensive at once, turning into streaks of light as they weaved frantically through gaps in the lightning, racing for the Weatheria, trying to board before the ship was destroyed!
"Before a god's wrath, there is nowhere to run!"
Enel laughed madly, commanding the storm like precision missiles, chasing their silhouettes!
…..
This earth-shaking battle above the White-White Sea of the "Domain of God" had already surpassed mortal imagination.
The violent thunder, like billions of war drums, pierced the thick cloud layers and echoed across the entire sky island, Apayado!
At first, the island's residents, whether the Skypiean of Skypiea or the Shandians of Jaya, thought it was merely a rare, unusually massive thunderstorm.
But they quickly realized something was wrong.
The thunder… was too dense. Too violent!
And within those golden flashes, there seemed to be… black lightning and crimson fire mixed in?
Angel Island, shoreline.
"Dad…" Conis stared up at the sky, flashing with destruction, her face pale as paper.
"This sound… this feeling…"
Beside her, her father Pagaya dropped his harp with a clatter. The ever-cheerful man's face was now carved with bone-deep terror.
"No… no way…"
Pagaya trembled all over.
"That man… that man wasn't he already knocked to the moon by the Blue Sea people?!"
"He… he's back…"
Tears spilled from Conis's eyes. "Dad! It's 'God'! It's Enel… he's back!!"
BOOM!!
Another deafening crash tore from above the clouds, as if to rip the sky apart!
Fear spread across Angel Island like a plague.
"Enel has returned!"
"Run! 'God's' judgment is here again!"
"It's the end of the world!!"
Elsewhere, Shandora.
The former captain of the "God's Guard," Wyper, stood beside the ruins of the Golden Belfry.
He snapped his head up, hawk-like eyes locked on the sky.
"This power…"
"Wyper!" Kamakiri, rushed over, terror on his face as well. "The sky… the sky is screaming! Is it Enel?!"
"Ah!!"
A scream rang out from the village.
Aisa, now grown quite a bit, was clutching her ears, crouched on the ground in agony.
"So scary… such a scary sound!!"
Aisa's innate Mantra let her "hear" everything in the high skies more clearly than anyone!
"That god's voice… it's back!!" she cried. "But… but… there are two more! Two incredibly powerful people… they're fighting him!!"
"What?!"
Wyper and Kamakiri jolted.
Wyper grabbed his Burn Bazooka and Reject Dial, fierce resolve blazing in his eyes.
"No matter who he is… if he dares set foot on this land again!"
"The fires of Shandora will never be extinguished!!"
…
BOOM!!
Rehn and Sanji landed on the Weatheria's deck together, both looking worse for wear.
"Damn it!" Sanji shook the crackling arcs from his shoulders. "This guy's Devil Fruit is just too broken!"
"His Observation Haki's range is enormous, ambushes barely work," Rehn said grimly, pushing up glasses now showing cracks. "And his stamina, no, his electric output, is practically limitless."
Working together, with Armament Haki, they could suppress Enel.
But Enel's speed, wide-area attacks, and all-seeing Mantra from left them with no easy answers!
The fight had fully entered a white-hot stalemate!
"T-then what do we do?!"
Nami hid behind the mast, staring at the demon-god figure laughing in the sky, on the verge of tears.
"Curly-brow! Rehn! Hurry up and think of something!"
She could hardly believe her eyes.
That was Enel, the "god" who once drove her to utter despair, whom only Luffy, his natural enemy, could defeat!
And yet now, that curly-brow and that fatty were actually… fighting him to a standstill!
'What kind of monsters are those two?!'
Her heart pounded wildly, shock, worry, and fear twisting together.
"Well, warm-up's over."
Enel seemed to have had his fill.
He slowly… raised both hands, aiming at the sky!
"What?!"
Rehn and Sanji looked up simultaneously, a deeply ominous premonition surging within them.
"Allow me to show you."
Enel's face split into a grin of extreme madness and self-satisfaction.
"The ultimate power I awakened… on the moon!"
"Awakening!"
"Two Hundred Million Volts Amaru!!!"
RUMBLE-RUMBLE-RUMBLE!!!!!
Above them, all thunderclouds, every bolt of lightning, seemed to have found their king!
Endless lightning converged madly, centered on Enel, beginning to construct something beyond imagination, a colossal, sky-blotting… Thunder God!!!
