There were about six more beasts left in the surrounding field, six beasts ready to decapitate them. Now that Kaiden was stable, Chuck turned around to see the body of another beast laying dead before him. A gaping hole could be seen on its head as the obnoxious waft of crispy innards spread across the arena.
The group converged together, all surrounding Kaiden as she laid peacefully on the ground. The first two beasts lunged forward towards Erik. With his arms still illuminated by the violent swirling inferno of flames, he shot them forward, blasting the torrent of fire outward.
The flames shot out with intensity, both heading for the eyes of the beast. Upon contact, a small explosive sound could be heard as the flames incinerated the eyes of the gigantic spider, tearing through its tendons and making its way through its brain.
The beast screeched in pain as a black smoke flowed out of its eyes. Within a few moments, the beast dropped dead. There wasn't any time to rest, Erik could see another beast heading in his direction. But before Erik could form another fire spell to obliterate the beast, he saw black haired boy running towards it with two golden swords that were wrapped with a massive amount of flame. The swords pulsated as though they were alive.
"Chuck, target the eyes, it's the easiest way to kill it!" Erik yelled as he saw Chuck running towards the beast head on.
Chuck picked up the piece of information he heard and readied himself. When he was in close range with the beast, just about to make contact with it, Chuck raised his dual swords, throwing them with an accurate precision. The two flaming swords shot straight forward, heading for the beast's eyes. The beast raised its legs, attempting to slash down the swords before they pierced through its eyes, but its reaction was too slow.
The legs missed the blades by a few inches, reached the head of the beast, and penetrated through its eyes, making black blood rain down like a fountain. Sizzling sounds could be heard as the burning flames from the swords torched everything they came in contact with.

Chuck saw the system message on the translucent screen, signifying that the beast was dead. He quickly rushed over to the beast to retrieve his swords to fight off the other beasts, but he noticed that something was off. The sound of spells firing off and beasts wailing was gone, almost like no one was there.
Turning around, Chuck saw the entire group looking exhausted as they all took heavy breaths. The additional beasts had been killed with the combined effort of Erik and the twins.
Chuck's problem was the fact that he couldn't use long rained attacks yet, he was only limited to crafting weapons to fight, along with the Infernal shroud that kept him safe from attacks. Using long ranged attacks would definitely level the playing field, and that was why Chuck needed to max out his exp and level up as soon as possible.
Chuck walked closer to the group, still shrouded by the enthralling flames of golden essence he had. They couldn't help but envy Chuck, knowing fully well that the energy that he possessed was not mana, it was foreign, and they felt it as he inched closer to them.
"I've run out of mana," Lance said with an exhausted look, "I won't be able to fight for a while."
"Me too," Xin replied, resting her body on Erik as he held her graciously on her waist. She felt a certain hardness on her ass, but she enjoyed it, as she subtly moved to and fro, making the hardness even more thicker.
"She's fucking… soft," Erik thought, feeling Xin's ass making contact with his hard cock under his pants, "I'm definitely gonna fuck her very soon."
Chuck moved past them, and positioned himself next to Kaiden. He dismissed the infernal shroud, not wanting to melt the sand below him.
"We need to get her to medical so we can make sure she's perfectly fine," Chuck said with a soft tone.
"Yeah, but what about the crystals from the beasts?" Erik said.
"He does have a point, you know," Lance said firmly, "we just can't leave the crystals behind. Another team will come for it, and everything would have been for nothing."
"So what are we gonna do? Kaiden looks fine to me. I think she's just sleeping." Xin said with an unconcerned look.
Chuck thought about it for a while, he needed to make sure that Kaiden was at a hundred percent. He trusted that the essence of his Harelm energy healed her, but he still needed to be sure.
"Alright then. You guys can go ahead," Chuck said, looking at Kaiden who was still unconscious, lying on the scorching sand.
"Take her to the shelter, and I'll do the dirty work. I'll harvest the crystals and bring them back with me."
"You need me to come with you? For your… daily beatings?" Erik said carefully.
"There's still time. We'll do that together when Kaiden wakes up," Chuck said, looking at Lance with a side eye.
Lance lifted Kaiden up on his arms, carrying her like she was weightless. Along with Kaiden and Erik who were now sweating at this point, he left, leaving Chuck behind to harvest the beast crystals.
"Alright, let's do this."
Chuck dismissed one of the swords, leaving only another left in his right hand. He went for the first beast and began ripping the flesh apart, searching for the crystal. What Chuck didn't account for was the several figures that stood far enough on the field. They stood still watching the Chuck's group as they defeated the beasts.
Upon noticing the departure of the entire of Chuck's group, leaving Chuck alone in the arid field, they moved forward, heading towards Chuck.
"This is gonna be easy. Killing him will be easy."
